Over the last couple of years, most landscapers haven't had to work at sales. In fact, most have had trouble keeping up with the demand for work. The result is that we've been more like order-takers rather than salespeople. But as the economy starts to slow down a bit, it is important that we revert to being salespeople to ensure the continued growth of our business. Andrew Wall has been in sales for his entire professional life in sales, and he shares how to be effective salespeople. Episode Links:Connect with Andrew905-691-4553EmailWebsiteLinkedInSandler Sales TrainingLinkedInWebsiteAndrew's BookshelfThe Road to Excellence by David MattsonSelling to the Modern Buyer by David MattsonYour Future Self Now by Dr. Benjamin HardyThink Again by Adam GrantPodcastsRe: Thinking with Adam GrantWork Life with Adam GrantConnect with GrantEmail519.868.6398LinkedInTwitter Nextra ConsultingWebsiteFacebookInstagramLinkedInEpisode Sponsor: Jim Pattison LeaseWendy Ladd416.417.5233Wendy.ladd@jplease.com

“There are plenty of fish in the sea, and by helping the people in my community, that's going to raise the tide, which is going to rise all ships.” -Andrew Wall   Adapting to change is never easy. What we plan for versus what actually happens are often wildly different and can leave us feeling like we don't really understand what we're doing at all. Making plans and business building become much better when we shift our thinking from a mindset of having to be right about everything, to being open to learning anything.   Automated services may be slowly replacing traditional bookkeeping functions, but this isn't anything to fear. When you figure out what value you are able to bring to the table, your business will no longer be about compliance and meeting deadlines, but a business that lets you forecast the future to keep your clients on the cutting edge.   Time spent worrying about whether you'll have clients or not is wasted in the face of recognizing only you can do what you can do. When you're passionate and love what you do, there is no other end result than learning, growing and becoming an expert in your field or niche. Our featured guest checks those boxes. Andrew Wall is the Managing Partner of CPA4IT, an accounting thought leader, and Friday Night Live with Accountants podcast host.   During this interview, you'll learn... The value of proper communication in healthy relationships How to evolve with ever-changing systems, processes & technologies The importance of being open to continuous learning Click here to find out more about Andrew's business.   Connect with him on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter   Listen to Friday Night Live with Accountants at this link.   Don't miss a chance to get your free ticket to The Successful Bookkeeper Summit that begins on November 9th, 2022! Our guest - Andrew Wall, aka Awall - is a Digital Marketing Executive with over a decade of experience coaching creative professionals to success. He built the largest gaming video network in the world, produced 10,000 gaming videos, generated 1 billion YouTube views, live-streamed video games full-time, and managed 55 social media accounts across 13 languages simultaneously. Awall is currently hosting the #1 podcast for gaming creators, live streamers and YouTubers - The Digital Drop Podcast – and he’s the Vice President of Social Media & Video Production at Raging Bull, a successful e-learning company.I found Awall on YouTube when I was rebooting my Andelicious Advice channel – I needed state-of-the-art guidance for the best YouTube results, and I fell in love with how Awall delivers content to his subscribers. I’m so excited to share this extraordinary expert with you!Awall shares:• how his love of technology, video and gaming prepared him to be a pioneer in creating gaming content when YouTube launched• his 2 year side hustle content strategy, and how it led to the largest online gaming video network• his deep knowledge of the $28 billion gaming market, the history of eSports, and how Fortnight is influencing the 18 and under crowd (including dance moves!)• outstanding advice for founders in a position of selling or merging their business• how there's tons of high level thinking, coordination and competition in gaming, along with terrific (and comforting!) advice for parents who have kids focusing a lot much time on gaming (waving madly here!), and why colleges are offering scholarships to eSports players (what?!)• why resumes are becoming obsolete – it’s your online presence that matters now• his exceptional reddit results, his best strategy for building a presence on reddit, and why reddit is an important platform for building your brand awareness• why Twitch is growing so rapidly (no… Twitch is not a freestyle hip hop dancer!), why it’s THE platform for eSports, how to leverage this incredibly sticky, super engaged live streaming platform for your brand, (the fastest growing segment is NOT gaming), and how you can monetize this platformPlease engage with Awall everywhere he glows:Twitter: https://twitter.com/awalldigital/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/awalldigital/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/awallvsFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/AwallDigital/Digital Drop Podcast: https://digitaldroppod.com/Feel free to reach out to Awall via awalldigital@gmail.com.If you’d like to receive an alert whenever I post a new episode, please follow the Startup Life Show wherever you listen to podcasts, including: Stitcher, Spotify or Apple/Google Podcasts… and let’s connect on social media!Do you have a startup story you’d like to share on the Startup Life Show podcast?
