In this episode we summarize key themes from the past 10 episodes, and bring it all together to show how our understanding of the problem determines how we understand the solution, and how this shapes our understanding of Jesus. A new concept we discuss is how, in a developmental process, there is a cause and effect relationship between the choices we make, how those choices shape our condition, and how our condition in turn shapes our choices. Wrong choices need to be forgiven, but a wrong condition needs more than forgiveness. The fall impacts every part of our human nature - our body, mind, will, emotions, everything - so a solution to our problem will have to address every facet of our human nature. And this one observation is what sets us up for exploring why God came in the person of the Son to unite himself with a corrupted human nature, something we will continue to unpack in future episodes. Leave us a question or comment at our website podcast page. * Intro Music: "Admirable" Carlos Herrera Music --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/onelifenash/support

In this episode, Jake leads us in a discussion of a manuscript entitled Once-Weekly Semaglutide in Adults with Overweight or Obesity (10.1056/NEJMoa2032183). This manuscript is the result of a massive international randomized clinical trial that enrolled 1961 people with overweight and obesity to examine the effect of once-weekly semaglutide on weight loss. These data have the potential to make a big change to how obesity and overweight are treated. Look out for our follow up episode where we look at a similar GLP1 receptor agonist (liraglutide) and the efficacy of adding exercise to the pharmacological treatment. How is it the last Monday of the decade?!! This week Jaz, Joe, and Julie discuss the many ways they've changed over the past 10 years. Everyone weighs in on the most challenging, and most rewarding times of the decade and year... Ask yourself some of the questions with us, as we prepare to embark on a new decade. Just remember you might not have accomplished all you wanted to this year, but it's pretty dope that you're miles away from the person you were 10 years ago! You can hit the gym every day, drink kombucha.... and hike weekly, but if you are ignoring the things going on in your head and heart... you're still not truly healthy! Welcome back to another episode of Dive Cuts! Sam Snelling and Matthew Harris are here to talk to you about some Mizzou Hoops. The Offense seemed to wake up in Mizzou's last game, but is that sustainable? They also get you ready for Braggin' Rights with a preview as well as talking about how not pretty the SEC has looked so far. Let's dive in. Episode Breakdown: :15 – 17:25: Welcome back to Dive Cuts!
