Fox News Channel Chief Political Correspondent Bret Baier returns for a Club program exploring the critical role George Washington played in securing the future of the United States. Baier, author of the new biography To Rescue the Constitution: George Washington and the Fragile American Experiment, focuses on Washington's return from retirement to lead the Constitutional Convention and establish the foundation of American governance. George Washington rescued the nation and the Constitution three times: first by winning the Revolutionary War, second by presiding over the Constitutional Convention and ushering the Constitution through a fractious ratification process, and third by leading the nation as president in its first years. There is no doubt, says Baier, that the struggling new nation needed to be rescued. After the victorious war, the states were no more than a loosely knit and contentious confederation, and they were in constant conflict. Setting aside his plan to retire to Mount Vernon, Washington agreed to be a delegate at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. There he was unanimously elected president of the convention. After successfully bringing the Constitution into being, Washington then sacrificed any hope of returning to private life by accepting the election to be the nation's first president. Washington was not known for brilliant oratory or prose, but his quiet, steady leadership gave life to the Constitution by showing how it should be enacted. Join us as Baier explores the dramatic moments when Washington's leadership brought the nation from the brink of collapse. He says early America was grittier and far more divided than it is often portrayed—one we can see reflected in today's political conflicts. Learn more about your ad choices. Today marks day 17 of the Israel-Hamas war, and as the death toll continues to rise world leaders are responding to the unrest in the Middle East. Last week during a primetime speech, President Biden made the case for a funding package to aid the country's national security and support Israel and Ukraine. However, Congress is still without a Speaker, how can the United States ensure funding both at home and abroad? FOX News Chief Political Anchor, Host of the Bret Baier Podcast, and Anchor of Special Report Bret Baier emphasizes how current global tensions are making security and safety a top concern among voters. Bret looks ahead to the third GOP debate and analyzes different candidates' messaging strategies to gain momentum in the polls. Later, he discusses his latest book, To Rescue The Constitution: George Washington and the Fragile American Experiment, and shares how leaders can learn from the past to bring America out of its division today. Uphill Battle: Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has left the Democratic party in favor of an independent run for the White House. Bret provides insight on how his campaign may peel voters away from former President Trump instead of his former party. Keep up with Dana on Twitter: @DanaPerino Learn more about your ad choices. Dr. Carson talks with Bret Baier, chief political anchor and host of 'Special Report" on Fox News, about his new book "To Rescue the Constitution: George Washington and the Fragile American Experiment." They discuss the importance of George Washington in the founding of the United States, his leadership style, and his faith. Baier offers a fascinating journey through history, focusing on the life and leadership of George Washington and the lessons we can learn from his life. America was built for dissent in our discourse and its tumultuous founding can shed light on our current challenges as a nation. As we navigate the complexities of the present, it is essential to understand our past and the principles that have shaped our nation. By doing so, we can work towards a future that upholds the ideals of liberty, justice, and unity that George Washington and the Founding Fathers fought so hard to establish.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The fighting in the Middle East promises to intensify, with Israel preparing for a siege of Gaza to root out the Hamas terrorists that massacred Israeli civilians over the weekend. Bret Baier, FOX's Chief Political Anchor, host of Special Report and the Bret Baier podcast, joins the Rundown to discuss concerns about who is funding terror organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah, why comparing atrocities committed by the Hamas terrorists to the actions of the Israeli government is a dangerous moral equivalency, and he talks about his new book, “To Rescue the Constitution: George Washington and the Fragile American Experiment.” Reports broke on Wednesday that Iran's President Raisi and Saudi Arabia's crown prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke on the phone, discussing the “need to end war crimes against Palestine.” This news brings fresh scrutiny to Iran's role in the terror attacks on Israel, as Iran has been a long-standing sponsor of Hamas. Now, intelligence agencies are reevaluating Iran's nuclear capabilities as well. Senior research associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Security Studies Program, Dr. James Walsh, explains what we know about Iran's involvement in the attack on Israel, how close Iran is to a nuclear weapon, and the threat of Islamic nations in the region joining the fight against Israel. Plus, commentary by Heritage Foundation Tech Policy research associate Jake Denton. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, President Biden created this situation in Israel by letting Iran and Hamas out of the cage that the Trump Administration put them in. President Trump showed American strength by taking out Qasem Soleimani and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and drew a real red line that was respected, and that all went away with the Biden Administration. Biden rebuilt Iran's military and put tens of millions of dollars in their bank accounts, and now Iran is using Hamas to attack Israel. A U.S. District Judge has ruled that the U.S. government knew that the Biden Administration funneled American tax dollars into the hands of Palestinian terror groups. Israel has every right to throw everything it has at the barbarians that attacked them, and it is not their responsibility to accommodate the media or the people who voted for Hamas. Also, Mark speaks with Dan Diker, President of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, to expose the terror affiliation of the Students for Justice in Palestine. Students for Justice is not a grassroots student organization; it is a terror-affiliated anti-Semitic network that currently operates with autonomy and impunity at colleges and universities across the United States. Later, Mark talks with Congressman Michael Waltz about the terrorist activities in Israel and the Biden Administration's involvement in helping groups like Hamas. Finally, Mark is joined by Fox News host Bret Baier to discuss Israel's fight and his new book To Rescue the Constitution: George Washington and the Fragile American Experiment.
