Listen to apparel expert Jaclyn Noble discussing the environmental and business benefits of using cotton in today's clothing. She has held senior positions with Spanx, Gloria Jeans, VF, and American Eagle, to name a few. However, her career began with hands-on experience using cotton on the mill floor. For Ms. Noble, industry metrics, transparency, and sound growing practices by farmers form the foundation of industry efforts to embrace sustainable business goals. Using cotton, says Ms. Noble, makes more sense than ever for today's brands and retailers. This is a fascinating, not-to-be-missed discussion with an experienced global apparel expert. Hosted by Ray Daniels of BASF, and interviewed by Bob Antoshak, Gherzi Textile Organization.

What does hearing the voice of the Spirit look like in the business world? How do you balance the tension between working with the natural and and the supernatural in starting and building a business? On this episode of the podcast, we talk to someone who knows the answers to these questions... Meet the man behind the coffee! Peter Irvine cofounded the Gloria Jeans Coffee franchise in 1996. By the time the company was sold in 2014, there were over 400 Gloria Jean's stores across Australia and over 800 coffee houses in 39 countries worldwide! Today, Peter is currently the CEO of Kingdom Momentum LTD and has more than 50 years of experience in business at a high profile management level. He is passionate about providing tools, encouragement, advice and expertise to businesspeople both inside and outside the church. On the show, we talk about: Peter's business journey and some highlights of his work co-founding Gloria Jeans' coffee. The Holy Spirit as the Great Problem Solver. Peter shares a time when God spoke to him from a passage in the Bible (Isaiah 48:6,7) about his ability to give us creative and innovative ideas for business. The ultimate purpose of business to be a blessing to others. As Peter says, “It's not about us.” Prosperity has a purpose! The importance of patience and clear communication. Success comes not so much by financial growth, but by our own growth and development. The dynamic of God-connections and how to watch out for them. How to partner with the Holy Spirit - allowing for the supernatural input of God as well as our own natural input from Proverbs 21:31: The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord. Starbucks. Espresso, Latte' at pwede ding icustomize. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/damuhan/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/damuhan/support

Oktober 2015. Und hektisch.„You are the German, right?“ fragen mich viele Hochzeitsgäste.

Excited to catch-up with Two Space co-founder and social entrepreneur, Tashi Dorjee! Indirectly, my connection with Tashi is actually the reason Hot & Delicious: Rocks The Planet! is now a weekly show on Bondi Beach Radio. Tashi and I met at the Two Space co-working space for start-ups and entrepreneurs at the Kings Cross Hotel a few weeks back and I just had to get him on the show to tell his story. Partnering with Optus and Amazon, TwoSpace connects underutilised spaces with a community of entrepreneurs, creating unique spaces that help businesses start, connect and grow. We also chat about his work with Carbon Conservation, a business dedicated to conserving the rainforests of Indonesia and current protects 1 million hectares of rainforest and the introduction of Himalayan Chai into the Australian market back in the day by his grandmother, which went on to be adopted by Gloria Jeans and more. Vast-ranging and fascinating chats and I just love meeting new people whom I feel like I’ve known for years.
