This week on Legends & Champions, we're stepping back into the golden age of WWF to dissect Survivor Series 1990 — a night of wild gimmicks, legendary debuts, and one… unforgettable giant bird. From the birth of The Undertaker and a stunned Ted DiBiase to the infamous Gobbledy Gooker reveal that left the crowd scratching their heads, we break down every moment that made this event a bizarre yet iconic chapter in wrestling history. We look at how the traditional elimination format evolved, why the Grand Finale Match of Survival was a one-time experiment, and what this pay-per-view tells us about Vince McMahon's creative mindset at the dawn of the 90s. Expect nostalgia and the kind of wrestling analysis only true students of the squared circle can deliver. Grab your foam finger, lace up your boots — it's time to revisit Survivor Series '90. Legends & Champions — Where wrestling's past becomes legend and its icons become immortal.

In this special guest episode, Sushi beats the lore of the WWE into us, including the rise of Al Snow and Head, the feud between Vince McMahon and Donald Trump, and the legendary hatching of the Gobbledy Gooker. The ladder match for custody of Dominick Guerrero was epic, but not as epic as the Shockmaster's helmet. This episode is a doozy. Visit our website ➡️➡️➡️ https://www.majesticproduction.com/ Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another tremendous episode of Make Pro Wrestling Majestic Again—the podcast where Tigerhite and Peanut Gallery (the best in the biz, believe me) break down the absolute chaos in the world of pro wrestling. This week, we're reviewing WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, an event that was nothing short of majestic—or maybe not so much, depending on the match. We've got a lot to talk about, folks: Pro Wrestling Drama: Kate from Fightful asked Bobby Lashley one of the dumbest, most race-baiting questions we've ever heard. It backfired bigly, and Lashley shut it down like a pro. The backlash? Deserved. Tony Khan strikes again! AEW pulls Ricky Starks from GCW shows. Spoiler alert: it's not a good look. And so much more juicy drama! Pro Wrestling News: Is Jade Cargill's neck injury real, or just another AEW work gone wrong? AEW's Grand Slam Australia moving venues due to poor ticket sales. Yikes! Matt Riddle at TNA Turning Point—it's happening, folks! WWE unveils a brand-new Women's Intercontinental Championship. Another great move from the WWE machine. Then we dive into the Survivor Series card, which had some phenomenal matches, including: A Women's WarGames match with Bayley, Bianca Belair, Iyo Sky, and more! LA Knight defending the U.S. Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura—let me tell you, Knight is on fire! A three-way Intercontinental Championship match featuring Bron Breakker, Sheamus, and Ludwig Kaiser. Gunther vs. Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship—a real slobber-knocker! And the Men's WarGames match featuring The Bloodline vs. CM Punk and the OG Bloodline. Huge match, folks, just huge! Plus, we dive into wrestling history with the infamous debut of the Gobbledy Gooker—a mascot so bad, it was buried faster than Tony Khan's credibility. It's drama, it's wrestling, it's majestic! Tune in and let's Make Pro Wrestling Majestic Again! Watch our full podcast here ➡️➡️➡️ anchor.fm/majestic-production

Look, some strange stuff has happened over the years in pro wrestling; Mae Young birthing a hand, the Gobbledy Gooker, Kane beating up Pete Rose, but nothing has become quite as infamous or part of the wrestling lore as Capital Combat '90: The Return of RoboCop. Tim and Rich break down this show which had a pretty solid card for an early WCW show. Ric Flair and Luger, the Four Horsemen running amuck, and Doom and The Steiner brothers nearly destroy humanity. It's pretty run of the mill until RoboCop shows up to keep the peace. All we can say is take a listen to Tim and Rich try to make sense of a show that really pushes kayfabe to its breaking point. Thanks for listening!

Oh what a week of pro wrestling!! There were some ups and there were some downs and Jenks & Mark are ready to talk all about them. The guys would have rather seen the Gobbledy Gooker than Vince's golden egg, but still enjoyed Survivor Series. However, AEW once again delivered a NUKE by MJF & CM Punk! Finally the guys go off about the fans and make a special announcement. The Year is 1990 and wrestling still has a golden sheen to it. Ahead of Survivor Series 1990, WWE intended on debuting not one but two new characters at WWE's annual Thanksgiving pay per view. One would be The Undertaker who would go on to be one of WWE's most iconic wrestler and have a Hall of Fame career, the other, the topic of this week's Dork Side, The Gobbledy Gooker who would have a memorable debut and win a championship 30 years after debuting. Twitch's TheFamousGusBromski (@gusbromski) and Foxticious (@Foxticious) join the podcast to witness the debut of the failed pay per view mascot, his triumph 30 years later, fantasize about the pitch for the character and share thanksgiving thoughts. Iraq, Slaughter, Gooker This event is known for the on-screen debut of The Undertaker, who went on to become the WWF World Heavyweight Champion at the next Survivor Series, and the appearance of the Gobbledy Gooker.[2] The Undertaker replaced Bad News Brown who had left the WWF after Vince McMahon failed to live up to his promise to make him the company's first black champion. In addition, Sgt. Slaughter, who then portrayed an Iraqi sympathizer, insulted servicemen stationed in Iraq for Thanksgiving during Operation Desert Shield. In an interview, Randy Savage challenged The Ultimate Warrior for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Haku replaced Rick Rude, who had left the WWF over a pay dispute. In the storyline, he was suspended by WWF President Jack Tunney for insulting the mother of the Big Boss Man. Boris Zhukov replaced Akeem who had left the WWF in October. The Undertaker would wrestle for the WWE for the next 30 years, setting a company record for longevity. He would become one of their most important and beloved stars, eventually reaching iconic status. His retirement ceremony took place at the 2020 Survivor Series, exactly 30 years later. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

CHECK OUT OUR WWE/WWF ROYAL RUMBLE REVIEW IN ABOUT 13 MINUTES!!!! January 19, 1991=30 YEARS AGO!!!!!!! With American armed-forces battling bravely to drive Iraqi invaders from Kuwait, the World Wrestling Federation saw fit to use the ongoing struggle in the Gulf War to draw interest in their product; turning former fan favourite Sgt. Slaughter into a loathsome Iraqi sympathiser and shooting him right to the top of the card. It was this fascination with the horror of the war that served as the central theme for the promotion's 1991 Royal Rumble event. Patriotism was in full flow and that cowardly Slaughter was about to get what was coming to him from the All-American heroes of the WWF. If that sounds like a somewhat dodgy idea for a wrestling show, that's probably because it was, and who could blame fans at the time for being skeptical about McMahon's latest PPV offering when the last time out we were presented with a dire show which gave birth to The Gobbledy Gooker.
