Nintendo of America will not drop DEI like other corporations have, according to CEO Doug Bowser. Does this mean The Big N will push a "woke agenda" or will Nintendo of Japan slap them down? Will it matter to players if they do or don't? Will it affect Switch sales? Will Daisy and Peach finally hook up? Inquiring minds want to know! This week on Rushdown Radio, we take Nintendo, Ubisoft, and Sony to task in a news cycle that's equal parts clownery and chaos. Doug Bowser finally responds to the backlash over Switch 2 pricing — but does it actually help? Ubisoft doubles down in court, insisting you don't really own your games, and Bungie's latest look at Marathon has folks wondering if it's just Concord 2.0.Meanwhile, Shuhei Yoshida throws shade at Nintendo for losing its identity… while Sony quietly hikes prices and rereleases The Last of Us (again). We also warn you about a fake Witcher 4 beta invite making the rounds, and point out the baffling fact that Breath of the Wild on Switch 2 doesn't support cloud saves or include its paid DLC.Oh — and Nintendo's raising accessory prices while keeping preorders locked at MSRP. Because… why not? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Nos vemos en el episodio 107.Música: Alan Wake - The Poet and the Muse.
Welcome to episode 58 of Shack Together! We're joined by special guest Lucas White to discuss his recent reviews of SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered and Bleach: Rebirth of Souls, while also exploring Ozzie's review of the newly released Blue Prince, a game making waves as an early GOTY contender. Today's show features our first and likely only "Donkey Kong Sixty-Farce" segment, where we separate fact from fiction about the N64 classic, before diving into the latest Nintendo Switch 2 news. The upcoming console's pre-orders face delays due to tariff concerns, with Nintendo, the ESA, and even protesters in NYC responding to Trump's proposed 90-day tariffs on video games and tech. In Story Time, we go on to cover announcements including Marathon's April 2025 gameplay reveal, Hades 2's Switch console exclusivity, and the Nintendo Switch 2's achievement system, or lack therof. We also discuss Microsoft's AI Quake 2 Copilot demo, Vampire Survivors' free Emerald Diorama update, and Doug Bowser's comments on Nintendo game prices. And that's all for today's show! If you can't afford a Nintendo Switch 2, you'll just have to settle for a Switch 1 according to the Nintendo CEO. Nintendo president Doug Bowser suggests those who can't afford Switch 2 should stick to original Switch models, echoing Xbox's controversial 2013 messaging. Switch 2 will be priced at an unexpectedly high $600-$700 due to Trump tariffs, significantly above the anticipated $450-$500 range. Nintendo plans to implement demand-based pricing for Switch 2 games, moving away from fixed price points. Switch 2 is slated for release on June 5th, according to Nintendo's teaser trailer. Switch 2 cartridges are intentionally made to taste bad using denatonium benzoate to deter children and animals from ingesting them. Bowser's comments are compared to Don Matrick's E3 2013 remarks, implying Nintendo doesn't want customers who can't afford their latest console.

We start with a brief discussion of the incredibly racist labor policies of the British Navy. Next we discuss the supposedly amazing work conditions at Nintendo of America which CEO Doug Bowser claims are so good employees don't want a union. Two more major healthcare walkouts were launched this week on the West Coast, in Washington and Oregon at PeaceHealth and California at Providence. Starbucks Workers United announced their biggest day of action yet, Red Cup Rebellion 2, on November 16. The NLRB announced a new rule defining joint employers, we break down the potential impacts. Two groups of undergrad workers won their unions this week at Harvard and the University of Oregon. Another summer ends, that means its new game season, and to start it off we have my early thoughts on Starfield, which is definitely going to be one of my favorite games. We also have a potential third strike coming as SAG-AFTRA looks to strike against the video game publishers. Doug Bowser opens up about Nintendo's future, and Skull & Bones hits another hurdle. Adam Drive, Aaron Paul and others speak out against the AMPTP, Toho drops a big new Godzilla trailer, and Ahsoka was amazing. Also my top 10 80s animated movies gets a shoutout.

Number 866We have a real mix of a show today. Things start off with a serious topic, but we get lighter from there on out. Nintendo toy reveals, Peepsi taste test, apologizing to Doug Bowser, big praise for Bayonetta and plenty more!
First in today's episode, we talk about the most recent debate between Microsoft and Sony for the Activision deal, Doug Bowser says Tears Of The Kingdom will justify its $70 price tag, Bayonetta Origins' rating is released, and it has been confirmed that Tears Of The Kingdom will not be at the PAX East event. Lastly we go over, the recent PS5 Pro leaks, the most recent update to Nintendo Switch Online seems to have code for link cables for the GameBoy systems, and the games that will be added to Nintendo Switch Online in March. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Join our discord to chat with ushttps://discord.gg/Nv9S5Spd6gConsider becoming a patronhttp://patreon.com/3terriblegamersListen to our episodes live on Twitch!https://www.twitch.tv/3terriblegamersHere is Ashton's (armoury987) personal Twitch Account https://www.twitch.tv/armoury987- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Amazon Affiliate Links: (We make a small commission from purchases using these links with no additional cost to you)SystemsNintendo Switch OLED white joy-con https://amzn.to/3wC8l2YGamesNBA 2K23 Standard Edition Nintendo Switch https://amzn.to/3QW3oucCall of Duty Modern Warfare II https://amzn.to/3Ljl1C9God of War Ragnarok https://amzn.to/3SbFmLTMario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope https://amzn.to/3DxOnuLSplatoon 3 https://amzn.to/3QKVYZKBayonetta 3 https://amzn.to/3dq23gIPokemon Scarlet https://amzn.to/3QR3VwoPokemon Violet https://amzn.to/3qRFKTXNeed For Speed Unbound https://amzn.to/3Vyt5UkGotham Knights https://amzn.to/3t2Iu1YSonic Frontiers https://amzn.to/3WNE397Nintendo Switch Sports https://amzn.to/3GtHzzxHogwarts Legacy https://amzn.to/3FGgDuzFire Emblem Engage https://amzn.to/3vZLY6USpongebob Squarepants Cosmic Shake https://amzn.to/3CKLUfaDead Space Remake https://amzn.to/3CNruSHKirby's Return To DreamLand Deluxe https://amzn.to/3lcxqPqTears Of The Kingdom https://amzn.to/3HN5bOBJoy-Con SticksGulikit Hall Effect Joy-Con No Drift Sticks https://amzn.to/3Ws1KCg- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Check out our sports podcast anchor.fm/2terriblesportsYoutube Channel: https://youtube.com/channel/UCCtH8Pw8oFg-2_LKqwSqxGAPodcast(s) Merch: 3TerribleGamers's shopSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/3-terrible-gamers/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
This week on Axe of the Blood God, Nadia, Kat, and Eric bid sayonara to the best RPGs on the Nintendo 3DS and the [snide snicker] Wii U. Nintendo is yanking the plug on the 3DS and Wii U digital storefronts very soon, but there's still time to thumb through some must-buy recommendations. Radiant Historia! Persona Q! SMT IV and Strange Journey Redux! Maybe they'll end up on the Switch somewhere down the road, but there's no way of knowing. Best to gorge yourself now while the kitchen door's still open. Also in this episode: Paranormasight is another amazing Square Enix game that will probably slide into obscurity because there's no way it's going to sell the seventy bojillion copies Square Enix probably expects it to sell Want to know why Tears of the Kingdom is $70? Doug Bowser has an answer Bloodborne is up for a Pantheon revisit. Does it deserve to—yeah. Yeah, of course it does. What a question. RIP Lance Reddick. :( Music used in this episode: Do Your Best! It's a video game podcast this week. Nintendo of America boss Doug Bowser answered some questions by not really answering them at all. That includes questions about the Switch's future and the followup to the Switch. Hosts Mike Minotti and Jeff Grubb disccuss that, the new Mario trailer, and then they answer your questions. We've been really intrigued by the discussion around the Final Fantasy team's suggestion that JRPG is a dirty word. We happened to talk to some Nintendo developers about negative perceptions of Japanese games and share that with you in this episode. We've also been thinking a lot about all of the important people we worked with at Nintendo of America that you might not know about. Sure, everyone knows Doug Bowser and Bill Trinen but there are so many people behind the scenes doing some great and even historically important things that you may have never heard of. By the time you're listening to this episode we would have returned from Super Nintendo World! We share/try to manifest what our perfect day would be at the park so look forward to some vlogs where we share our experience with you. Also in this episode, we share our final Like A Dragon: Ishin impressions since we both beat the game. We wrap up with some questions from our wonderful Patreon subscribers. 0:00 - Episode 56 START! 13:22 - Five unsung heroes from Nintendo of America 44:11 - Games we are playing (Like A Dragon: Ishin final impressions) 1:11:32 - News news news (Final Fantasy 16 JRPG discussion) 1:28:39 - Questions from our Patreon subscribers Thank you to our Patreon Super Stars!
