The Purpose of Revelation

Many are addicted to revelation, but few are transformed by it.   In this message, The Purpose of Revelation, I dive straight into a sobering word the Lord dropped in my heart: week after week, believers position themselves to hear God's Word, yet remain completely unchanged. We look closely at the story of Peter, who carried the ultimate revelation of who Jesus was at Caesarea Philippi, but still had to go through a deep process before his character was truly transformed. True revelation is meant to be the front door to a responsible, active faith—not a spiritual high that leaves us paralyzed in our old nature.   It is time to step past the front door of simply hearing and start walking in the raw Kingdom authority that belongs to you.   Muchas gracias to House of Prayer for All Nations at Pensacola, Florida for having me!   Click here to go to the official Revival Cry YouTube channel. Did you know that according to one standard method of dating, the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. was built before the time of Christ?Anyone who has ever visited a cave has heard the claim that the stalactites growing in the cave take, on the average, a full century to grow only one inch. Cave visitors stand in awe as they view stalactites and stalagmites up to forty feet tall. The hundreds of thousands of years of Earth's history begin to become a reality before their eyes. But the question is, does it really take a century to grow one inch of stalactite? When the Lincoln Memorial was built during the 1930's, the engineers sank steel cylinders into the bedrock in order to anchor the monument. The base of the memorial is set high above ground, leaving a cavernous basement beneath the floor. Rainwater seeping through the marble floor has formed stalactites up to five feet long on the basement ceiling! This growth is an inch per year, not per century! In a very real sense, the stalactites in the basement of the Lincoln Memorial are rocks that carry the testimony of God against the naturalistic, long-age stories of evolution. Isn't it only right that we who know His love in Christ should tell others of His Creation as given to us in Scripture?Matthew 3:9"And think not to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.' For I say unto you that God is able from these stones to raise up children unto Abraham."Prayer: Dear Father, I thank You that You have given me Your Word –the Bible. Help me to truly live as Your child by bearing witness to Your truth in this doubting world. In Jesus' Name. Amen.Ref: “Leaking Marble,” Gems & Mineral Merchandiser. We can easily do ministry because we know how to do it—but are we pushing forward without the glory of God?   I absolutely love the vision behind winning "one more soul," but a logo on a t-shirt won't break demonic strongholds—it takes a lifestyle of deep, secret devotion. In this episode, we tackle the sin of prayerlessness head-on, sharing raw testimonies of shifting from mechanical, functional workers to true sons and daughters who move in authentic Holy Ghost authority. From confronting spiritual blockages directly within the business marketplace to watching indigenous leaders take the reins of church multiplication in the Philippines, we break down what a raw awakening requires from each of us.   It's time to step away from the mechanical routine of functional religion and find a true, uncompromised place of stillness before the King.   Thanks to Jason and Kim Duren and Victory Family Church Dothan AL for having me!    Click here to go to the official Revival Cry YouTube channel. God didn't save us to stay localized reservoirs—He designed us to be rivers that bring life to dead places.   In this message, we unpack the prophetic blueprint found in Psalms 46 and Ezekiel 47. Looking back at our recent journey through Israel, we trace how God utilizes physical topography to mirror spiritual transformation. We explore how the modern believer has become the true temple of the Holy Spirit, meaning the presence of God is no longer locked inside human architecture—it is meant to flow from us. Discover how a life completely surrendered to the river of God can move past a mechanical routine and step into a strategic multiplication that releases a Great Awakening.   The river has a source, a path, and an eternal ending—where are you currently standing in the flow?   Special thanks to Joey and Jenny Ehlers and Fireplace Church for having me!    Click here to go to the official Revival Cry YouTube channel. Discover the 8-point roadmap to an eternal mindset.   When the weight of the ministry feels heavy and the external world seems to be shaking, the only anchor is a perspective rooted in the unseen. This teaching focuses on 2 Corinthians 4 and the "treasure in earthen vessels" that allows us to be hard-pressed but not crushed. We examine why the light of the gospel shines brightest in the face of Jesus Christ and how our "light afflictions" are currently working for us to produce an eternal weight of glory. It is time to shift our focus from the temporary to the eternal, allowing the excellence of God's power to be manifested through our mortal flesh.   Recorded in Move Church   Click here to go to the official Revival Cry YouTube channel. Marriage – A Current Assessment (Christ the King Anglican Church; Birmingham, AL) MESSAGE SUMMARY: Marriage and the family, in current decades, have been under attack to the degree that marriage is now losing its value in our culture.   In Mark 10:6-9, Jesus speaks to God's plan for marriage: “But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.' ‘Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.' So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.'” In our culture's attacks on marriage and the family, we see ten ways in which marriage and the family have been and are being perverted: 1) US Supreme Court's decision on same sex marriage – as followers of Jesus, we don't believe the courts have the right to define/redefine marriage as established by God; 2) sex before marriage is becoming the norm; 3) sex outside of marriage has become acceptable; 4) the prevalence of divorce; 5) acceptance of cohabitation; 6) birth of children out of wedlock; 7) multi-spouse marriage; 8) escalation and the acceptance of pornography; 9) the acceptance and practice of abortion on demand; and 10) the acceptable “choosing” one's own gender by some people. These perversions of marriage and the family are chipping away at the value and importance of marriage and the family in the US – even among Christians. Too many of our Christian young people don't know why they should get married -- this diminution of marriage's value is a failure, mostly, of the Christian Church. Many Christians, today, are being deceived and led away from God's Word by the Evil One (e.g., John 10:10). Therefore, we need to read and understand God's Word, especially as it relates to His plan for marriage that Jesus posits in His quote from Genesis in Mark 10:6. Throughout history humans have corrupted God's beautiful plan for His Creation. In Mark 10:7, we see God's pattern for marriage. In Mark 10:8, we are provided with God's purpose for marriage; and the product of this “one flesh” is children. By becoming “one flesh” in marriage, the man and women become a “new trinity” – husband, wife, and the Lord. In this “marriage trinitarian relationship”, each child is brought into this family relationship in the same way that we, as followers of Jesus, are brought into our personal relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit through the Gospel. In Mark 10:9 we see God's expressed permeance of marriage. God's design and plan for marriage, as presented by Jesus in Mark 10, is ideal for us as humans, our nation and our culture; but His plan is being increasingly perverted. Therefore, what should we do, as followers of Jesus, about these “attacks on marriage”? We can: 1) stand up, speak up and speak God's truth – Christians need to stop be trampled upon by this divergent culture; 2) model good and Godly marriage and family life to the culture; 3) you teach your children, you not the church/school/government, about God and His plan for marriage and the family; and 4) pray and ask God to intervene in these attacks and to support our seeking to achieve His plan for our own marriage and the family – prayer does change things, and it brings the power of God. We are blessed to live in an incredible time in history, but the plan and fabric that God designed to keep us together and thriving – marriage and the family – is being perverted. However, we, as followers of Jesus, hold the key to stopping this perversion though getting our own family and marriage in line with God's plan and then witnessing and voting to stop this perversion – the time is now.   TODAY'S PRAYER: Keeping the Sabbath, Lord, will require a lot of changes in the way I am living life. Help me to trust you with all that will remain unfinished and to enjoy my humble place in your very large world. In Jesus' name, amen. Scazzero, Peter. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM RIGHTEOUS IN GOD'S EYES. It is easy to mistake a busy calendar for a productive spirit, but if your activity isn't born out of an overflow of intimacy, the well will eventually run dry. We look at the pattern of revival in the life of Jesus, the pioneering spirit of the early disciples, and the modern-day move of God in Iran to understand that revival isn't something we organize—it's something we catch.   The Spirit is blowing. “I was a 23-year-old high school dropout dying of an overdose when I heard the voice that changed my geography forever.”   Do you have a "yes" problem? Most people settle for less because they're afraid to ask for more. This teaching is a roadmap for the dreamer who's been told they'll never amount to anything. We look at the lives of Moses, Paul, and fishermen who had no clue what God had in store for them, just like a firefighter who ended up overseeing missions in 50 nations. We're stripping away the "poverty mentality" and looking at the practical rules for protecting your dream from discouragement and lack of faith. You don't have to finance the vision; you just have to obey the One who gave it to you.   You were handcrafted for a purpose and bought at a price. The enemy doesn't play fair, and he's hoping you'll choose the weight of a mourning monument over the power of a rejoicing temple.   There's a massive difference between a confession that just cleans your lips and a repentance that actually breaks your heart. This episode dives into the danger of "living in between" heaven and earth—where we recognize our sin but refuse to walk in the freedom Jesus bought for us. By looking at the tragic disconnect between King David's grief and Absalom's rebellion, we uncover how staying in a state of mourning for too long can actually strip you of your authority and cloud your identity. It's time to move past the "have-to" of religion and into the "get-to" of a life consumed by Jesus.   We weren't called to spend our lives building monuments to our mourning; we were called to be transformed into temples of His rejoicing.   Click here to go to the official Revival Cry YouTube channel. “Your faith will never be great until it becomes a part of your present reality.”   In this episode of Revival Cry, Eric Miller shares how to measure your faith in Jesus, drawing from Romans 12:3 and Matthew 9:18–26. He explores four expressions of faith—devoted, delayed, desperate, and decorated—showing how each reflects our walk with God. Devoted faith trusts and worships Jesus wholeheartedly; delayed faith waits patiently for His perfect timing; desperate faith reaches out in urgent belief; and decorated faith only appears outwardly faithful without true surrender. Eric encourages listeners to live in present faith, the kind that actively reaches toward Jesus today and reveals His power in our lives.   Click here to go to the official Revival Cry YouTube channel. In this episode of Revival Cry with Eric Miller, Eric sits down with his son Jonathan to discuss life transitions, calling, and the importance of faithfulness in every season. Jonathan, a third-year engineering student at Messiah University, reflects on growing up in the Philippines as a missionary kid and how a fascination with design and building led him to pursue engineering as a way to serve God in practical and mission-minded ways.    Eric shares a powerful testimony of a prophetic encounter at Messiah University in 2001 that became a confirmation years later for Jonathan's path. Together, they explore lessons from 1 Kings 19, where Elijah navigates transition, loneliness, and mentorship, drawing parallels to the responsibility of discipling the next generation. Jonathan emphasizes keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus during challenging seasons, while Eric encourages believers to embrace their unique calling rather than imitate others.   The episode concludes with a reminder that while the world is shaking with wars, crises, and uncertainty, Jesus never changes. True success comes not from earthly achievements but from living a life rooted in Christ and impacting others with His love.   Key Takeaways: Transitions require faithfulness and a focus on Jesus. Mentorship and equipping the next generation are vital to sustaining legacy. God uniquely prepares each person for their calling, combining gifts, skills, and identity. True ministry can happen anywhere—whether in missions, engineering, or daily life.   Click here to go to the official Revival Cry YouTube channel. After we wade through genealogies of Noah's sons, we encounter the tower of Babel, a monument to man's rebellion against God. Being made in the image of God, these men imitate their creator by creating, which is all well and good, except that they defy God's command to fill the earth and attempt to rob God of glory by making a name for themselves. God graciously uses language to scatter them so they can see the expansive majesty of His Creation rather than stare at the cute little tower they've made. Psalm 119 is one giant acrostic that is all about one thing: God's Word. The Scriptures are fixed and unchanging, and that gives us stability in our lives. The Lord is always faithful to His promises, and everything in His Creation is under His control. God hasn't given us the Bible just to fill our heads with knowledge; He wants us to delight in it! His Word gives us life, and it should make us cry out -- like the Psalmist -- "I am Yours; save me!" Even in our times of affliction, we would do better to remember God's Word instead of turning out thoughts inward. You will never exhaust the depths of Scripture! God is good, and His mercies are new every morning. Don't be spiritually impoverished -- read the Scriptures this year!

There is a majestic God, and we are not Him. We are created in His image, but we have now fallen from our original estate. But He did make us to be the highest point of His Creation -- made in His image to have a relational capacity. We are special, and we are to have dominion over the earth God made. Even the "lowest" human beings have value because the Lord says so. Although unbelievers do not want to believe this, they know in their heart that it is true. Their cultural attempts to defy God's order are rebellion against Him. If the Christian view of dominion is absent, then there will be all manner of confusion and perversion. The world is bent and broken, but Jesus has been crowned with glory and honor, and He conquered death and paid for our sins that messed up this world.

In this inspiring episode of Bleeding Daylight, professional photographer Pasquale 'Pat' Mingarelli shares how he discovered God's presence while capturing the beauty of creation through his lens. From his early days in photojournalism and sports photography to his incredible travels with Campus Crusade for Christ, Pat reveals how a life-changing encounter with a bull moose in Montana's Glacier National Park redirected his calling toward celebrating God as Creator.   Pat challenges our culture's tendency to snap photos mindlessly, encouraging us instead to approach photography with wonder and intentionality. Through his Visual Bible Verse of the Day website and his devotional book "Drawing Near: Meeting God in His Creation," he teaches others how stepping into nature with a camera can become a powerful form of prayer and worship. Pat demonstrates how God's creation offers glimpses of divine character that Scripture fully reveals, showing us that the Creator can be found in the wilderness when we slow down enough to truly see.
