And then it all comes together when Shawna shares her adoption story and what she discovered over 40-plus years later. You will be inspired by today's episode. In today's episode of Experience the Buzz, Host Steve Buzzard discovers the amazing story of Chrisman. "I have observed and watched Shawna's success in a very popular space. She has the 'it' factor which makes DA the blueprint for Medical Spas. And yet she will tell you that there isn't a competition with others. Brilliant!"  Our conversation hits three areas: SEGMENT 1 ❤️ begins with a snapshot of Destination Aesthetics and what is behind the incredible growth the company has seen in the past 10 years. Shawna shares with us how it all started. We then transition into understanding rejuvenation and getting away from the stigmas when we hear words like 'botox' and 'needles.' Chrisman shares the DA Menu and explains why there is such a high retention rate.SEGMENT 2 ❤️ gets into what the pivot looked like for DA when Covid hit two years ago. As the DA family grows bigger, Chrisman describes the importance of her DA family and what goes into hiring people to come on board. Speaking of family, Chrisman shares the love story between her and husband Josh, who is part of the DA team after working for his family business. We finish the segment with talk about Sacramento and the amazing and iconic DA Billboards that are up around town.SEGMENT 3 ❤️ is powerful. Shawna gives us the deep dive into her adoption story. There was an 'out of left field' moment that was shared that you won't want to miss. Our Connection |  I have had the pleasure of knowing the Chrisman family over the years. Her son and daughter (now teenagers) participated in my Buzzardball basketball program. I also had the pleasure of having her daughter Elyse attend St. Michael's while I was a teacher there. Have you ever flown over an interesting, easily-identifiable visual landmark, but look and discover it’s not on the VFR Chart?  ForeFlight, the popular electronic flight tool for iPad, has a solution. You can now select your own user-defined waypoints within the app, allowing you to navigate more safely through complex airspace.   San Carlos Flight Center invites ATP and CFI Bob Leuten to explain the secrets of using user waypoints in ForeFlight.  The new feature is available in all versions of ForeFlight, even the $100 per year “Basic Plus” version. Bob will show you how to easily add User Waypoints for various landmarks used in the traffic pattern at San Carlos Airport that are not already identified as ‘VP’ fixes. These include the AT&T Tower, Kaiser Hospital, Sunken Ship and ‘Abeam Hillsdale Shopping Center,’ a key part of the new ‘Hillsdale Departure’ noise abatement procedure, and many more.  In addition, you will learn how to enter your own waypoints for home, work or those used for your own custom “Bay Tour.” Once you master user waypoints on your iPad, it’s an easy transition to enter a select few in your portable or panel-mounted GPS navigator for use with your autopilot.   We encourage all aspiring and current ForeFlight users to attend this seminar.  If you are able to bring your own iPad to this session (loaded with the current version of ForeFlight), you will be able to practice (in real time) naming, entering, editing and deleting real examples of user waypoints.  If you can’t bring your iPad, just follow along. We hope to see you there.
