Lauren points out that social media success isn't just about going viral; it's about fostering a community and creating authentic connections with your followers. She emphasizes the marketing principles of repetition and the balance of giving versus taking, highlighting the need for consistent content and the importance of providing value to your audience. A Success Story: The Power of a Dedicated Audience Lauren shares an inspiring success story of a client who, instead of aiming for a vast audience, focused on a smaller group of engaged followers. This targeted approach led to a successful product launch, underscoring the power of relationship-building and engagement with a dedicated audience. Managing Social Media Stress We also touch on the potential stress and mental health impact of social media. It's common to feel overwhelmed, but Lauren reassures us that it's possible to approach social media in a manageable way. She advised starting with small, consistent efforts rather than succumbing to the pressure of doing too much at once. The Art of Engagement: Quality Over Quantity Lauren and I explore the nuances of engagement on social media, noting that it varies based on individual goals and content. She stresses that engagement is crucial, regardless of how often you post. For some, daily posting is necessary, while for others, like mom bloggers, one post a week with daily follower interaction can be enough. Three-Phase Engagement Strategy Here is Lauren's social media strategy: Review your profile to ensure it resonates with your ideal audience. Respond to comments and new followers to foster a sense of community. Reach out to ideal followers to build authentic connections. She encouraged responding to those who regularly engage with your content, even if it's just to express gratitude for their support. Embracing the Personal Touch We discussed the personal nature of engagement, with Lauren urging me to connect with those who consistently interact with my content. Authenticity is key, and making genuine connections can be as simple as acknowledging someone you regularly see on the street. The Human Connection in a Digital Age Lauren highlights the irreplaceable value of the human connection and personal touch in an age where AI and automation are on the rise. Creating a warm and welcoming environment for followers is essential. From my own experience, I've seen the shift towards meaningful connections with followers. Authenticity and transparency in messaging are crucial for providing genuine and valuable content to your audience. The Significance of Real Connections As our conversation wraps up, both Lauren and I emphasize the importance of building real connections and relationships on social media, rather than focusing solely on metrics and numbers. The impact of genuine engagement and the value of showing up authentically cannot be overstated when it comes to creating a loyal and supportive community. Exploring Social Media Platforms: Facebook's Resurgence and Instagram's New Features We also discuss the resurgence of Facebook and Instagram's new community feature as potential tools for building community. While Facebook remains a staple for live events and group conversations, Instagram's Threads feature and the new community option offer additional touch-points for engaging with followers. TikTok vs. Instagram Reels The differences between TikTok and Instagram Reels were also a topic of discussion. Lauren explains that TikTok caters to shorter attention spans and a younger audience, making it a valuable platform for those targeting users under 30. Conclusion Our insightful conversation sheds light on the evolving landscape of social media and its implications for online entrepreneurs and bloggers. The key is to focus on authentic engagement and leverage the platforms that best suit your audience and goals. Remember, it's not just about the numbers; it's about the relationships you build and the community you foster. So, let's continue to navigate this digit

In this rebroadcast episode of The Blogger Genius Podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Lauren Litt, a social media coach. Lauren helps people overcome their social media anxiety and achieve real results. Lauren shares valuable insights on why some people don't like Instagram and how to overcome these concerns. She suggests getting more educated about the platform and implementing grounding habits to protect oneself from the dopamine rush. She also emphasized that follower count doesn't determine business success and that focusing on real conversations and connecting with your desired audience is key. The Importance of Being Authentic on Social Media As the host, I add that if you want to grow a business, you need to be where your audience is, even if you don't personally like the platform. I compare it to niche blogging, where some may feel confined but need to focus on a specific niche to make money. Lauren agreed, stating that running a business often involves doing things you don't want to do. She reveal that she herself doesn't like social media due to past negative experiences but helps people who feel the same way because she believes they have important messages to share. She believes that people want to work with authentic individuals who show up as themselves. She also acknowledges that while there is a wealth of information available online, the value of paying for a course or coaching lies in the personal connection and trust that is established with the instructor. Tailored Approaches to Social Media When it comes to social media content, Lauren suggests focusing on the main feed, using carousels, going live, and sharing behind-the-scenes moments in stories. She explains that while reels can help grow followers, they are not as effective in driving clicks and conversions. Building Connections and Community on Social Media Lauren and I also discussed the importance of building connections and community on social media. She emphasizes that social media platforms are primarily meant for deeper engagement and relationship-building with the audience. While sales can happen on Instagram, she highlighted the value of having a newsletter list to further nurture and convert leads. Using Social Media to Drive Sales Lauren shares her own experience of working with clients who were not equipped to effectively capture leads and convert them into sales. This led her to expand her company and focus on online marketing strategies that move people from social media platforms to email newsletters, where the real profit can be generated. The Power of Engagement Lauren also provided a three-step process for daily engagement on social media: review, respond, and reach out. She encourages entrepreneurs to take just five minutes a day to review their social media accounts, respond to comments and likes, and reach out to new circles of potential customers. Taking Action and Making Personal Connections I admire Lauren for her practical strategies for selling digital products. I believe in the importance of taking action, even if you don't have an existing audience. I suggest going door to door, joining Facebook groups, and engaging on Instagram to make personal connections that can turn into loyal fans and customers. In this episode of The Blogger Genius Podcast, I welcome back social media expert, Lauren Litt, to discuss Threads, a social media platform connected to Instagram but operating as a separate app, and whether it's worth your time. Threads has been creating quite a buzz in the social media world. Lauren, who is bullish on its potential, believes that engagement is key to leveraging this platform. She encourages those who haven't yet explored Threads to do so, despite concerns about a drop in engagement. As she rightly points out, the platform is still in its infancy, and users are figuring out how to use it effectively. We explore the potential of Threads for creating meaningful connections and engagement as a business owner, blogger, content creator, or influencer. Lauren shares examples of how people are effectively using Threads, emphasizing the importance of providing value and building a community. We also discuss the concept of "push" versus "pull" marketing and how Threads shouldn't be used for the hard sell. Lauren shares her three-step engagement strategy for Threads and highlights the importance of being authentic and connecting with real people. We conclude by encouraging listeners to embrace serendipity and put themselves out there to attract new opportunities. Show Notes: MiloTreeCart Personality Quiz: What Digital Product Should I Create?  In today's episode, I had the pleasure of chatting with the lovely Lauren, a social media manager who is passionate about helping people use social media to create meaningful connections, build their businesses, and share their unique ideas with the world. Lauren's approach is all about providing value to her clients, rather than just adding to the noise on social media.   One of the key takeaways from our conversation is that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to social media, especially when it comes to choosing the right platform for your business. Lauren breaks down the pros and cons of different social media outlets, such as Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn, to help you determine which platform aligns best with your brand.   We also delved into Lauren's coaching style and personal philosophies, such as the importance of grounding habits and the 30-30-30 rule for content creation. We chat about how crucial it is to be consistent and to approach social media as a long-term project, rather than a short-term campaign.   Lauren's approach is all about being genuine, thoughtful, and empathetic when it comes to using social media for business. Her insights are a must-hear for any entrepreneur who is looking to grow their audience and build a strong presence on social media. So grab a cup of tea, settle in, and get ready to learn from a true expert in the field of social media management. Enjoy the episode! About Lauren Litt: Lauren is an actor who saw the power of social media after being doxed. She was inspired to start her own company, Little Shameless Plug, to help creatives like herself share their voices with the world. Lauren believes that we are our own studio system and that social media is a free tool to spread messages to as many people as possible. She works with a variety of clients, but her passion lies in helping fellow creatives avoid getting lost in the industry. Lauren's story is a testament to the power of social media and the importance of finding your own platform to share your voice.   www.LilShamelessPlug.com  Facebook: www.facebook.com/LilShamelessPlug  Instagram: Lauren Litt  Social Media Coach (@lauren.litt) LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lauren-litt

Welcome to Coaches on a Mission and thank you so much for tuning in.  We spend a lot of time on this show diving into strategy. And while some mindset work sneaks in here and there, it's not a major focus of this show.  Yet, a self supportive mindset is crucial as you build your business.  Putting yourself out there every day, pouring so much care and time into serving your clients, and taking on the risks that come with business building are really big deals.  So, today's episode will dive deeper into mindset work.   My guest today is Lauren Litt who is the founder of Lil Shameless Plug.  Lauren is on a mission to help coaches who don't like social media but know they need it for their biz to build a thriving community online.  And over the last few years, her business has really grown.  But Lauren feels stretched too thin without a ton of time to devote to things other than work.  She came into the episode feeling aware that something inside her needs to shift so she can show up for herself the was she needs to.  But neither of us were exactly sure what it might take to make that happen.  But after some coaching and exploration, we discovered that it's time for Lauren to drop her hard worker badge of honor and allow herself to receive more easily.  With this discovery, we created a 3 step plan for Lauren to shift from the inside out.  Here's what that looks like:  1. Understand that no matter how deeply ingrained our self image might be, we can consciously redesign it.  2. Practice daily free form writing to uncover and release the deeply rooted beliefs that keep you stuck in a self image that may not serve you.  3. Forgive yourself for the judgments you've held about yourself and others.  So, if you feel like the missing link between you and the next level just might be a different mindset, get ready to take some notes and explore your own self image.  TIMESTAMPS: 03:15 Lauren shares her goals for this podcast conversation 05:20 Lauren describes what she wants the next layer of her business to feel like  06:10 Dallas ask Lauren what a “lean and lazy” business looks like 07:07 Dallas asks Lauren to describe what is stopping her from having a “lean and lazy” business 09:14 Lauren shares more about why she has this hard worker mentality 12:35  Dallas discusses a book written by Dr. Maxwell Maltz on Psycho-Cybernetics and how this applies to Lauren 16:30 Dallas recommends determining how to reprogram Lauren's self image 18:05 Dallas shares another story to illustrate reprogramming someone's self image 20:15 Dallas and Lauren work on a process to reprogram Lauren's self image 23:56 Dallas and Lauren discuss a technique to help build a new mindset for Lauren 27:54 Dallas suggests Lauren challenges herself every day to act on a desire 29:45 Dallas summarizes the practice they have developed thus far 30:55 Dallas and Lauren discuss the competing intentions that are happening for Lauren 40:00 Dallas suggests the next step could be the use of free form writing to uncover and release the beliefs that keep you stuck in your self image 43:30 Dallas describes the next step is to forgive yourself for a judgment that you are holding 45:10 Lauren discusses using this process for 30 days 45:35 Dallas discusses how to earn bonus points in this process 49:15 Lauren discusses what accountability she needs for this process CONNECT WITH LAUREN: INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/lauren.litt/  CONNECT WITH ME:  INSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/dallastraversbizmentor/
