In this Sensitive & Empowered series, Matt and I talk about how we can navigate life's challenges through an empowering and expansive lens, instead of feeling like a victim to our circumstances. This is an inspiring and empowering conversation that will shift the way you view your current circumstances.
In this episode, Matt and I unpack the hot topic of vulnerability. We share our relationship with vulnerability and how transformative it's been for us. Vulnerability is not easy. Actually, it's terrifying and it takes a lot of courage to overcome the fear of revealing our most authentic selves -- the good, the bad, and the ugly. Come spend 30 minutes with us and learn how we've learned to overcome some of the fears we have around vulnerability, and how it has transformed our lives and businesses for the better.
In this episode, Matt Landsiedel takes you on a guided meditative journey to discover the relationship between your masculine and feminine energies. The guided meditation is designed to help you restore balance between your masculine and feminine energy. When we use the terms masculine and feminine, we are not referring to the gender or sex of an individual, we are referring to the energetic duality that exists within all human beings. We all have a masculine or yang energy, and we all have a feminine or yin energy within us. If you are stuck and unable to heal or slow down in your life, then you may be suppressing your feminine energy. If you are not actively engaged in your life and feel unmotivated, then you may be suppressing your masculine energy. This guided meditation will help you reconnect to the divine masculine and feminine energy within you so you can become integrated and balanced as nature has intended for you. Unconscious bias refers to the internal biases or attitudes that influence our interactions and behaviour towards others. We all have these deeply ingrained biases that unfortunately can hinder our efforts to build a more diverse and inclusive community. In today's episode, we are sharing our experience with Unconscious Bias in hopes that it will help contribute to embracing greater acceptance and belonging. Some of the questions we'll be unpacking: What are some unconscious biases you currently have or have had in the past? Where did they come from? How do you discern between preferences and prejudices? How can we become aware of these biases and change them to be more inclusive? By acknowledging unconscious bias and working to mitigate its impact, we can celebrate a more inclusive queer community that values the diverse experiences of all individuals. Having a healthy sense of self-worth means balancing both external and internal validation. External validation is when you derive your self-worth from sources outside of yourself while Internal validation is when your self-worth comes from within. Unfortunately, many people rely on the external at the expense of the internal, thereby creating a situation where you are hustling to prove yourself to others and are over-sensitive to their criticism. In this special two-part series, we're welcoming back to the show, Reno Johnston, to discuss how we can develop a more secure sense of self-worth using both external and internal validation. In part 1, we'll be focusing on the external by discussing things like: Why do we crave external validation? In what ways do gay men typically seek it? What are the benefits? When does does become an issue? If you think you don't experience shame about being gay, think again. In my experience, shame is so deeply rooted into the lives of gay men that we're numbed out to it. In this episode, you'll learn how to recognize and heal shame, so you can live a happier life and improve your relationships. About Me I'm George Lizos, spiritual teacher, psychic healer, and #1 bestselling author. Growing up in a small Christian community, I was judged and rejected for being gay and different. Join Matt and I on this episode of the Sensitive & Empowered Series, where we talk about our own personal journeys toward developing self-trust. From people-pleasing and conformity, to learning to listen to the whispers of our intuition, we have both come a long way when it comes to learning how to trust ourselves. We both live by the motto “feel the fear and do it anyway” and this has been the mindset we have needed to take the necessary action to put ourselves in situations where we can develop trust in ourselves. You can do this too, and we encourage you to move through self-doubt and fear so you can step more into your power. When you learn to stop outsourcing your authority to others, you will come home to yourself and find the trust you have been seeking all along.

On today's episode of the Soul Connection Duo Podcast, we are joined by fellow Canadian, Matt Landsiedel. Matt has a background in addictions counselling, however he now mostly works with highly sensitive people, empaths and gay men, as a transformative life coach, empathic healer and spiritual teacher! Through Matt's own struggles, he has developed a strong sense of self, and awareness of his life's purpose so that he can help others to live authentically, while also healing from shame and/or trauma. Throughout this episode, Matt provides us with some incredible explanations on sensitivity and what it means to be a highly sensitive person (HSP), the differences between HSPs vs. empaths, and how these traits can often lead to overwhelm in today's society. We chat about being able to recognize and honour these sensitivities, as only 20% of the world's population is considered "sensitive", as well as how this gift can be transmuted to help others feel and better understand their emotions. Matt works closely with clients who have experienced traumas, and he shares the importance of embodiment practices, breath-work and meditation, as these techniques can allow individuals who may be struggling to move from dissociation to feeling their emotions deeply, and thus healing. Matt explains how our minds can be a very dark place to live, when we don't have that mind and body connection working together. Matt spent some time travelling abroad in Asia, which inspired him to write his book titled, "Be The Space"; a loving guide to create inner space through present moment awareness, the mastery of mind and befriendment of body, and he provides wisdom to overcome suffering. Here is what Matt and Andre-Lee explored in this episode: What is pretty privilege? What is your personal experience with pretty privilege? Why is this topic important for gay men to discuss? What does it mean to be attractive? Why does our culture place so much emphasis on attractiveness? How does pretty privilege relate to ageism, racism or sexism? How can we start to deconstruct the system that is conditioning us to be so limited in our definition of attractive? As a human emotion, loneliness affects everyone. But the stigma of loneliness prevents us from talking about it. It prevents us from doing the things that our loneliness is telling us to do: take steps to get meaningful connection in our lives. It doesn't have to be this way. Join me for a conversation with Matt Landsiedel from Matt Landsiedel Coaching and Inspired to be Authentic in this episode of my podcast for gay men ‘Connection over Coffee with The Loneliness Guy' and let's talk about the stigma of loneliness and moving beyond it. I'm working to de-stigmatise loneliness and promote authentic connection for gay men globally, one coffee at a time. You're not alone anymore. About Matt Matt's story is uplifting, inspiring and eminently relatable. A reforming perfectionist and recovering addict, he's spent the last few years working through his sources of shame and practices ‘healthy vulnerability' and knows that this is both the way through shame, our shame-induced behaviours and getting the connection we need.
