Episode 92 Cannadave & Groovee of MiCannaCast has a special guest on Caroline Marketing & Sales Director of Dyna-Gro. We met Caroline at CannaCon Detroit last month and we wanted to get more information out there on the Dyna-Gro Product. We get a breakdown of Caroline and her role with Dyna-Gro, what makes them stand out, what products they offer, & Why Dyna-Gro. Dyna-Gro Who is Dyna-Gro and how are they involved in the cannabis industry? Dyna-Gro is a nutrient line that has been around for 38 years and first was used on orchids. Well this may be the last of us for awhile at least... We have enjoyed making this podcast, connecting with our guests and as always having a good laugh. Episode 91 Cannadave & Groovee of MiCannaCast recap the past weekend at CannaCon Detroit 2021. We attended both days the Friday and Saturday exhibits. We also have a concentrated review on Red Bud Roots Gorilla Glue Live Resin. CannaCon Day 1. The First day of Cannacon was an exciting time for us, we received our press passes which got us into the exhibit and also the seminars upstairs. Walking in it was pretty packed on day one, with tons of vendors, and pretty much most booths were packed with attendees. Our mission was to make connections in the industry, recordings, & photos. We were able to record with Derek of Cannabusters, which is a spray that eliminates odors of cannabis. This can either be at the commercial or the residential use. We talked to Dean of 3 Lefts, which is a new brand out in Ionia Michigan. they will be producing buds and concentrates. He showed us a seed collection which was unbelievable. 3 lefts will be having unique strains coming to the market later this year. A couple of the speakers we saw on the first day of CannaCon was Andrew Brisbro he is the Executive Director at the MRA Michigan Regulatory Agency. Andrew was speaking on the licensing in Mi, explaining the Michigan market, & more. We were able to get a photo and talk to him for a couple of mins after. During Andrew's session, they had Narmin Jarrous speaking in the other room. She is with Exclusive brands and her seminar was on Social Consciousness in Cannabis Business. Great speech on social equity, brand image, how to navigate a brand through social media. We also talked about Narmin in a previous episode about when Ascension Health denied her medication when she went for a refill after testing for THC. Pot Brothers At Law Day 2 had the main seminar around the Pot Brothers At Law in which they talked about the script and what to do when you're getting pulled over. How to overcome the adrenaline rush when it happens, that is why they teach the script. The Script is a tool used to help you out if you get pulled over by the cops. Marc & Craig are great guys, and it was awesome to meet them in person. We had the Pot Brothers at Law on a podcast last year, where we learned the script & Slam poem. Marc & Craig also took photos with everyone who wanted at the end of the seminar and the famous last line they always say from the script "STFU" Shut the Fuck Up! Day 2 We stopped at the Rare Dankness booth and spoke with CEO/Founder Scott Reach, who created Scott's OG. It was a great time speaking with him because the brand is making its way into the Michigan market in the coming months. A whole vertically integrated operation with their genetics. We also got introduced to Grove bags at CannaCon. Which is a bag for a grower to place their bud in for curing and burping. it has terpene technology that helps the curing process without using the burping method. Pretty stoked to record them and learn more about their product. Overall CannaCon 2021 was a great time and learning experience between the seminars and the vendors. If you haven't been to a CannaCon before highly recommend you check one out. Redbud Roots Review Gorilla Glue Live Resin was reviewed by Cannadave & Groovee in this episode. It's part of the sneak peek to our Muskegon episode which is coming out next Wednesday at 4:20. Episode 90 MiCannaCast Cannadave & Groovee talk about the recent experience at GreenHouse of Walled Lake Cannabis kickoff of the Summer event. A new state just joined the adult-use market on the east coast Connecticut. Cannabis company Lume is advertising at a music theater in Mi. All this and more on the latest episode of MiCannaCast GreenHouse Event Greenhouse hosted a cannabis kickoff event with different vendors and brands there. You had Primitiv Brand Calvin Johnson (Megatron) & Rob Sims showcasing the new product and taking photos. For Cannadave it was a dream to meet Megatron, one of his all-time favorite football players and now entered the cannabis space. We did pick up three strains of Primitiv which are Sensi Star, Runtz, and Peanut Butter Breath. Primitiv has flowers available in a couple of locations, definitely check them out, the Runtz was pretty darn good. You also had Darren McCarthy there repping his brand and promoting and taking photos as well too. You could purchase either of these products at GreenHouse which is 21 and up. They had a CBD company and Element Extractions as well too up there. Later in the evening, they had a firework show too, which we didn't stay for but enjoyed a couple of hours there. Shout-out for putting on the event and drawing the cannabis crowd. Connecticut The newest state to join the adult-use market is Connecutire, they're the 19th State. This is great news and exciting because it's the 4th state this year alone to join the adult-use market. They do have some weird cannabis laws drawn up with the legislation. We go into more detail in the episode about the laws. We are starting to inch closer to over half the United States will be an adult-use market 21 and up can consume cannabis. Lume Cannabis Lume Cannabis just inked a deal with DTE Music Theater out in Oakland County Michigan. We have been to Lume cannabis before and it wasn't our favorite spot. It's cool to see the advertising come mainstream because it's just not billboards or social media now, it's entire concert venues. We hope with this happening the legislation doesn't continue to bring up the cannabis billboard ban. Therefore cannabis companies should be able to advertise there as well as concert venues. If you can advertise at a venue you should be able to do a billboard. It will be interesting to see where else the cannabis community will be able to advertise in the future.
