On September 30th., International Podcast Day, the Podcast Super Friends, welcomed Kendall Breitman, Community Lead at Riverside, with big news on a major product rollout: Riverside's launch of its new chat-based editing tool — the "AI Co-Creator," affectionately nicknamed “Coco” by the internal team. Co-Creator introduces a major shift in how podcasters can handle post-production. Instead of manually editing timelines or transcripts, users can simply type what they want — like “make this episode more engaging” or “cut the part about watermelons” — and Riverside's AI will handle the edits. The tool supports everything from layout changes, B-roll additions, branding overlays, to audio cleanup like EQ adjustments and filler word removal, all with user-guided flexibility. Kendall walks us through the evolution of the tool — how it started as a way to generate show notes and blog posts directly from transcripts, and now powers full post-production editing, video layout automation, and audio enhancements like Magic Audio and Smart Mute. Co-Creator's AI capabilities also include adding royalty-free music, removing background noise, and even dynamically changing video composition based on prompts. While you still have full control to fine-tune manually, the tool helps users speed up their editing dramatically. We also discuss the importance of community feedback. Kendall emphasizes Riverside's commitment to implementing user suggestions quickly, with the Facebook group "Conversation Creators by Riverside" acting as a hub for ideas and feedback. In fact, several features — including the Editor Add-On that lets producers access client accounts — were born directly from community input. The conversation touches on pricing barriers for small-scale producers, the benefits of using iPhones as high-quality second cameras, and the addition of Safari support — making the platform even more accessible. We also explore Riverside's live streaming capabilities, which let creators stream to multiple platforms including YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and custom RTMP destinations — with multi-channel live chat support. Kendall suggests this is a great next step for creators looking to deepen audience engagement, especially as platforms reward live content in their algorithms. Wrapping up, Kendall highlights Riverside's free resources, like the Community Hub (riverside.com/community) and their live workshop series, which showcase workflows from everyday creators. She also teases future updates and encourages everyone to keep checking back — because the features keep rolling out fast. Kyle is the real deal and finds ways to create product, add value, help people, build community, he's unbelievable.” Eric Worre, Author of Go Pro "Kyle you were a master to work with when filming and producing at my house. Also, Helen and I have toured and done so many 'meet and greets' and have had all kinds of cool activities and opportunities on the road, but last year at your house at the Inner Circle Mastermind ranks at the top as one of the all-time best experiences we have ever had on the road. At your house the people and the love was so amazing. We are use to doing all the giving, but that day we felt loved and cared for. It was just an amazing experience! We still talk about it to this day. It is at the top of our tour memories from over all these years!" When I made the decision to transition from my 15-year MLB career to being a speaker, best-selling author, and business consultant I researched and then sought out the man who has been behind such iconic speakers as Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, and many others. Hiring Kyle as my coach has been one of the smartest decisions I made." Send us a textIn this episode, I sit down with Mike Turner and John Lane of Clearly Music to unpack what music supervision actually looks like across film, TV, trailers, and brand advertising. We talk about why Mike—longtime solo music supervisor—has officially teamed up with John under the Clearly Music banner, how they're merging contacts across film/TV and advertising/entertainment marketing, and what that means for productions heading into 2025 as sets spin back up in LA.Sponsor Alert:Try Riverside.fm's new Co-Creator feature — get 20% off any individual plan with code CLIPPED at riverside.fmThey break down the day-to-day (it's way more project management and legal than playlist curating), how clearances and rights packages really work, how brands get in trouble using commercial music on social, and real-world budget ranges—from indie placements a few hundred bucks to seven-figure trailer and ad licenses. We also get into team ops at Clearly Music (shoutout Caleb McFadden) and how John's Office Hours mentorship led to hiring and training a trusted coordinator. What You'll Learn:Why team up now: Mike joins John at Clearly Music to combine film/TV (Mike) with advertising, trailers & entertainment marketing (John), diversifying clients and smoothing feast-or-famine cycles.Real supervision, not just playlists: Roughly 30% creative / 70% project management—budgeting, clearances, on-set music needs, negotiating with labels/publishers, and shepherding rights from pre-production through post.On-screen performances 101: Pre-record sessions, hire players/coaches, coordinate set playback, and ensure performances look and feel authentic.Rights packaging that saves money: How term, territory, media, and usage decisions (theatrical vs streaming, regional vs national, 3 months vs 1 year) change the price dramatically.Brand safety on social: Why TikTok/IG music access ≠ a license for brand/influencer content—and how brands end up with stacked infringements.Library vs artist vs custom: When budget and strategy drive the choice—and why libraries cover more placements than most people realize.Career path & mentorship: John's Office Hours → hiring and training Caleb McFadden into a trusted day-to-day operator handling clearances, publishing lookups, and searches.Connect With Clearly Music: - https://www.clearlymusicservices.com/Resources & Links:Follow me on YouTube: @podcasthaven - The page is growing!More tips, tools, and resources: The Podcast HavenPlan, Name, and Equip Your Show — All in One Place
