Community and unity are, in essence, a part of Christianity's DNA. So collaborations and partnerships should come at ease for Christians. However, that's not always the case. Pride can often rear its ugly head, creating strife and tension in areas where unity is desired. Amy Cedrone and Catherine Gates are no strangers to collaborations. When God told them a permanent partnership was needed through the merger of their two organizations, they knew the first step they needed to take to have prayer and peace trump pride each step of the way. In this episode, Amy and Catherine share their story of combining their two organizations into one, how they have managed to tame the messy parts along with their pride, and how they've put unity and shared values first to create a partnership like no other. So listen in if you want to hear the impact collaborations and partnerships can have on your mission and goals, the benefits of collaboration and working together as a body within the Christian community, and the practical steps to initiate collaboration with like-minded organizations or individuals. If anything resonates with the women of the Polished Network, it's supporting one another. We don't compete or compare; we champion our sisters—always. Supporting one another is a superpower that propels us beyond business networking and social climbing into an interdependent community of women who have each other's backs. When we rise to our true potential, it is, in part, because others work with us for our success. This month, our theme Cultivating Community at Work focuses on practical ways to support each other in the workplace and encourage each other to grow.

Kay Armstrong is a woman on a mission to help working women embrace their key roles as leaders and contributors in the local church as well as at home and in the marketplace. Host Becky Hennesy sits down with Kay to discuss the launch of the Polished Network, a place that "gathers women to navigate the workplace and explore faith together in authentic community." But Kay is quick to remind listeners that her key to success is not time management skills or juggling the balls of home, marriage, work and church. Rather, it's a deep grounding in the knowledge and application of the Word of God...which was planted inside her many years ago at a church-based Bible study in Houston. Her teacher at the time? An unknown but up-and-coming pioneer in the faith named Beth Moore! Kay explains how sitting under Beth's teaching empowered her to see the potential of leadership inside herself. Today Kay is a published author, public speaker, and oversees the previously mentioned Polished Network.
