For hundreds of years, black women have been at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to equality in the medical industry, equality movements such as women's suffrage, police brutality recognition and career choices. Constantly told to sit down and be quiet, to even be grateful. Many of us have had the unfortunate experience of being under treated when we go in for care and many of our sisters do not make it our alive due to that lack of care. Fighting fights alone because we are seen as "the strong one". Beginning movements but somehow being excluded from reaping the benefits. Inspiring change all around the world, yet the last thought on everyones mind. When battles are said and done, we are still running the race and fighting to be heard. When does it stop? When will our pain and endurance begin to be seen as a fact and not opinion? We are not victims... We are warriors! We're talking about it so let's dive right on in! --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/space-time--energy/message

On this episode, Absolutely Adia and Tha Franchize get into a recap of their SXSW festivities with Anthony and Artesia from Tha Reality is Podcast, and the homie KD from SportsLifeTalk Podcast and... Adia roasts Franchize about his punctuality!SXSW is a great place where creatives descend on the city, and have opportunities to make great connection if they have a proper game plan. The crew discusses the importance of being prepared for the opportunity to expand your brand, while also being deliberate about making contacts that can lead to huge success. Also mentioned was the versatility of the event: Symposiums, music and film festival, tech, the whole nine. In the second segment, the crew discusses the Deep Ellum situation, and Tha Franchize has a message for black men...."WE MUST PROTECT OUR WOMEN!!!" and put the dam phone down if you see someone is being assaulted! Understood is the need to visually document the situation for prosecutorial purposes, but how many people does it take? Someone record, and the others step up! Spirited discussions abound....only on....THE QUAD.
