This week, we go back to a few of them we've covered on the Ordinary Extraordinary Cemetery podcast, beginning with Kurt Deion, who spent his childhood visiting presidential graves and now cares for the stories of thousands of Americans at Congressional Cemetery in Washington, DC. We travel through the Wild West with "Bulldogging" Bill Pickett, one of our country's most famous black cowboys. Of course, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania plays a pivotal role in the American story, and so we revisit our conversation with Nancy Goldenberg and Sarah Hamill, Stewards of Laurel Hill Cemetery. You'll also hear some of Major Pauline Cushman's story, told by MJ Henion, as a spy for the Union during the American Civil War, and we cover the death of a Revolutionary War soldier buried at Whitehall Burial Ground in Mystic, Connecticut, whose death was brought about by the traitorous Benedict Arnold! We wish you all a very safe and happy 4th of July! Welcome to Summer 2026 | The Best of Season 3. This week, Aaron takes us back to the late 1990s when a high school film project unexpectedly turned him into the most recognized person in school for exactly one day. What begins as a funny story about teenage ego, sudden popularity, and a brief taste of fame slowly reveals something much deeper about ambition, attention, creativity, and where we often look for validation. A story about chasing recognition, learning what actually matters, and discovering that sometimes the process is far more meaningful than the applause. Be sure to follow the podcast and leave a five star review so you never miss a new episode.
Yup yup!! Disasterpiece is in full effect this week as Justin and Steve breakdance and break down Vanilla Ice's 1991 star vehicle, Cool as Ice.This steamless riff on Romeo and Juliet is a soggy mess that didn't do Vanilla Ice, or anyone involved, any favors. But just like how the movie's charmless lead is able to steal a nice girl away from her boyfriend, this film somehow landed the Academy Award-winning cinematographer of Schindler's List (and almost every Spielberg movie that followed). So even at its lowest lows, Cool as Ice looks like a million bucks. So sit back, relax, say word to your mother, and get ready to know more than anyone ever should about Vanilla Ice. And if you're lucky, you might even find out what a Roni is.Check out more from Justin here: justindodd.rocksCheck out more from Steve here: stevejhward.comdrinkgenies.com

The Mandalorian & Grogu Movie, Star Wars Celebration 2027, and the Future of the DCAU Meta Description: Moose and Game God discuss the upcoming Mandalorian & Grogu movie, the announcement of Star Wars Celebration 2027, and why the DC Animated Universe continues to set the standard for superhero storytelling. The galaxy far, far away continues to expand, and Star Wars fans have plenty to be excited about. In Episode 515 of Podcast4SciFi, Moose and Game God dive into the latest news surrounding The Mandalorian & Grogu movie, discuss the significance of Star Wars Celebration 2027, and explore why the DC Animated Universe (DCAU) remains one of the most respected superhero franchises ever created. Whether you’re a fan of Star Wars, DC animation, or both, Episode 515 is packed with discussion, speculation, and plenty of geek culture goodness. The Mandalorian & Grogu: The Next Chapter Since their debut, Din Djarin and Grogu have become two of the most beloved characters in modern science fiction. What began as a streaming series phenomenon is now making the jump to the big screen with The Mandalorian & Grogu. During the episode, Moose and Game God discuss what this move means for Star Wars and whether the franchise is entering a new era of interconnected storytelling. Why Fans Are Excited The return of Din Djarin and Grogu in a theatrical adventure. The opportunity to experience Star Wars on the big screen again. Potential connections to future Star Wars projects and characters. The continued popularity of Grogu, one of the franchise’s most recognizable modern icons. The hosts also share their predictions about where the story could go and what surprises Lucasfilm may still have in store. Star Wars Celebration 2027: Looking Ahead One of the biggest pieces of Star Wars news is the announcement of Star Wars Celebration 2027. Celebration has become the premier event for Star Wars fans worldwide, bringing together creators, actors, collectors, cosplayers, and fans for major announcements and exclusive reveals. What Could Be Announced? While it’s still early, Moose and Game God discuss several possibilities: New Star Wars films and streaming projects. Updates on future Star Wars games. Expanded universe announcements. New collectibles, merchandise, and publishing initiatives. Surprises connected to The Mandalorian & Grogu. If history has taught Star Wars fans anything, it’s that Celebration often delivers unforgettable moments. Why the DCAU Still Matters The conversation then shifts from a galaxy far, far away to the world of superheroes. The DC Animated Universe (DCAU) continues to be regarded as one of the greatest examples of comic book storytelling. From classic animated series to newer projects, DC animation has consistently delivered compelling characters, emotional storytelling, and memorable performances. What Makes the DCAU Special? Strong character-driven stories. Faithful adaptations of iconic heroes and villains. Outstanding voice acting performances. Story arcs that appeal to both longtime fans and newcomers. Consistently high critical and audience ratings. The hosts discuss how modern animated projects continue to build on the foundation established by legendary series such as Batman, Superman, Justice League, and beyond. Star Wars vs. DC Animation: Different Strengths, Same Passion One of the most interesting discussions in Episode 515 centers around how these franchises approach storytelling. Star Wars excels at creating vast worlds filled with mythology, adventure, and wonder. Meanwhile, the DCAU focuses on character development and long-form storytelling that has influenced generations of fans. Rather than competing, both franchises showcase what makes science fiction and fantasy storytelling so enduring. Final Thoughts Episode 515 highlights why fans continue to be passionate about both Star Wars and DC animation. With The Mandalorian & Grogu on the horizon, Star Wars Celebration 2027 generating excitement, and the DCAU continuing to thrive, there’s never been a better time to be a sci-fi and superhero fan. If you enjoy discussions about movies, television, gaming, comics, and all things geek culture, be sure to listen to Episode 515 of Podcast4SciFi. Listen to Podcast4SciFi Join Moose, Game God, and the Podcast4SciFi crew as they explore the latest news, reviews, theories, and discussions from across the worlds of science fiction, fantasy, gaming, and pop culture. So this was one of the most powerful shows that I've ever had the honor of producing in the last nine years. I did make formal show notes, but I just don't think it does it justice. First off, I want to say thank you to Don Mann, Seal Team 6 legend, star of Surviving Mann and the toughest man I have ever known.Randy Couture -Google the name TV&Movie Star alongside Sylvester Stallone in the Expendables movie series UFC hall of famer, Six time UFC champion, 14 years in the UFC but there was so much that I didn't know about Randy.Randy is former US Military and his mission now is really out there to help others. He founded the Extreme Couture GI Foundation. He's collabed with merging vets and players. We talked about what it's like to be a UFC champion, what it takes. We talked about transition from that world into movie stardom. We talked about what real self defense and real fighting is like not just the sport if cage fighting. We talked about mental health, we talked about men's health. We talked about the pros and cons of social media and we focused on male role models, we talked about veteran mental health. We talked about so much.- this was truly one of the most powerful shows I have been part of- any summary here can not do it justice. So I encourage you to listen to it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.Randy, thank you so much for coming on. Don, thank you for connecting us. We mentioned so many former guests on the show, it was brilliant. This was one of the most surprising and humbling shows I have ever recorded in the 9 years the podcast has been going- Randy is a true gentleman and his wisdom, humility and knowledge will astound you - hopefully as much as it did me.You can connect with Randy on the show notes below. Click on those but most importantly I would suggest Randy would want you to do is click on The Xtreme Couture GI Foundation xcgif.org and the Veteran Transition support vetsandplayers.org

Who are the most bankable movie stars working today? In this episode, we react to a Variety article that surveyed cinema owners across the US, asking who they believe still has the power to draw audiences to the big screen. We break down the names that made the list, what “bankable” really means in today's industry, and whether star power alone can still open a film.We also put forward our own picks. In some ways, I admire her for being a trailblazer in terms of taking no shit from Hollywood CEOs and protecting her daughters on and off set. On the other hand, some recent revelations from Hilary changed this episode mid-edit when I felt I could no longer defend her mother. The drama continues as LaLaine (Miranda on Lizzie McGuire) exits the show just 6 episodes shy of the finale and also doesn't participate in the movie, another issue many have blamed on Susan. More on set issues occurred as Hilary was unhappy with the music she was given to sing (I use that term loosely) in the movie and the outfits she wore… but the it turned out ICONIC anyway!!! Or did it? Many prefer the show to the film… what do you think? However you see it, Susan Duff definitely was a powerhouse… for better or for worse.MERCH: https://ultimate-fangirl-apparel.printify.me/PATREON Subscribers heard this episode completely ad-free! The patients in the therapy sessions in the new film GROUP: The Schopenhauer Effect are actors, but it's not a scripted film. The actors were given characters and circumstances and then they improvised dialogue with each other and with the group leader, who is also acting. Kind of. Dr. Elliott Zeisel is one of the most important figures in group therapy in America since the 1970s. With all that knowledge and experience powering him along, he also improvised his dialogue, based on what he was being said. The result is a remarkably honest and moving portrayal of group therapy. We talk with Dr. Zeisel about the film and about how group therapy works, what to expect, who's a good candidate for it, and which myths need to be dispelled. Outlouders, enjoy this free bite of Mia Freedman, Holly Wainwright & Amelia Lester. Catch the full chaos at 5 pm TODAY. Not a subscriber yet? Honestly, why wait? Holly loved Wuthering Heights. Amelia hated it. Mia was meh - probably the most batshit of all reactions about the most talked-about movie of the year. So today we get into it. Mia Freedman asks Amelia why she thinks Margot Robbie was so miscast as Cathy, why she wished Jacob Elordi came with subtitles and why she’d like two hours of her life back, please. And Mia wants Holly to explain why there was a barking woman on a leash, and whether the finger-sniffing scene was, actually, in Emily Bronte’s classic novel. It’s a no-holds-barred dissection of the choices made by Emerald Fennell and of course, why Mia walked out of the premiere. Remember, this is your free sample of today's subs episode. President John F. Kennedy saw his mistress Mary Pinchot Meyer as an equal during their lives. But there was one thing neither realized they'd have in common: their suspicious deaths. Police said Mary was murdered in a robbery gone awry. But some believe her death was an orchestrated hit: a move in the War on Drugs, or a way to hide her evidence that the CIA killed JFK.
