Welcome back to another Mom Life Pep Talk! Today's episode is all about something I've struggled with a lot - asking for help. Back when I first got married and had my baby at 19 years old, I thought I had to handle everything on my own. Society kind of teaches us that, right? We're supposed to wear the struggle like a badge of honor. And I call BS. This all came to mind after reading an email from Samantha Siffring, a coach whose program I'm in. She was talking about this issue, and it hit home. I remember feeling so lonely and not wanting to ask for help. Even after I had my third baby, I didn't know how to voice that I needed some alone time with him. It's crazy how we put so much pressure on ourselves to do it all. And I don't want that for you. It's absolutely ok to ask for help. You don't have to wait until you're completely overwhelmed to reach out. I wish someone had told me that wanting a break or some alone time with your kids is completely normal. It doesn't mean you're not a good mom; it means you're taking care of you so that you are able to show up as the best version of yourself. Imagine feeling less stressed and emotionally drained. Doesn't that sound amazing? You deserve happiness and a life you love, so don't hesitate to reach out if you need support. Register for the workshop: 3 Steps to Organized Your Digital Files and Save Two Hours a Week Hey Coach! How do you know if you are ready to hire? What should you have ready before you begin the hiring process? What should you be aware of when hiring? That's what we're talking about today with Samantha Siffring. Samantha is a business coach and founder of an operations/marketing agency that supports small business owners. She has degrees in psychology, marketing, and counseling, and is a certified coach. She lives in Denver, Colorado, with her husband, three kids, and three pets, and loves travel, reading, and making things beautiful. In this episode, I talk with Samantha about the process of hiring help in your coaching business. She emphasizes the importance of recognizing when you've reached capacity and need additional support. She advises coaches to assess their capacity and budget before hiring, ensuring they have enough tasks and finances to allocate to a team member. Samantha also highlights setting up basic systems and procedures before bringing someone on board. She reassures coaches that it's okay to seek help and delegate tasks that are not their strengths. We both encourage coaches to overcome any shame or embarrassment they may feel about their "messy" businesses. Samantha emphasizes the importance of clear expectations stated ahead of time, having regular meetings or communication channels with team members, implementing legal agreements, and thinking through an offboarding plan even before it's needed. Here's all the nuggets we touched on during our conversation: 00:00 - Register - "3 Steps to Organizing Your Digital Files" Workshop? 07:16 - How to assess if you're ready to hire with Samantha's "closet analogy" 09:40 - Where to start setting up systems to get ready to hire 11:00 - THIS one thing will keep you stuck 12:50 - Your hiring budget guidelines 14:50 - Samantha's surprise answer to saving 5 hours with your new hire 16:48 - Now that you know you want to hire, what do you do first? 17:46 - A warning for the "Who do you use?" question 19:34 - Samantha's agency's onboarding process 20:40 - How a time audit can help 21:15 - Samantha's personal process creation 23:25 - Communication is KEY + guidelines 26:15 - What to do when you hired the wrong person + wise things to consider 30:35 - Samantha's agency services - the process and what they help businesses with 34:53 - Her balance between coaching with the agency 39:33 - Samantha's two closing thoughts - You don't have to conform + You will WANT to have a legal agreement Resources mentioned in the episode: Connect with Samantha Siffring: Website Instagram Facebook Group Free: 16 Ways To Get More Visible with Clients Samantha's two Podcasts: Online Business Building Mamas Booked Out Without Burnout Connect with me: Register: 3 Steps To Organize Your Digital Files to Save 2 Hours a Week Workshop Solve for random notebooks and papers with the Idea Tracker Manage your clients with the Client Tracker FREE File Naming Formula Cheatsheet Website: Simply Squared Away Email: Tracy@SimplySquaredAway.com Instagram: @tracyhoth

We struggle with time. Something you want to happen takes too much time.Something you don't want isn't going away fast enough. Here's the thing about time to wrap your head around. If you want to have more time, you have to let it go.Yes, I know, it doesn't make sense right?Because we've been taught that if we want something, we go out and grab it, we take it, we control it, we hoard it, we keep and save it.We definitely don't just let it go, get away from us, leave us. We think doing that means we ‘lose' it.But that really is the secret to creating more time for all the things that are important to you.Enough with all the productivity tools. They're good, but they're tools that support how you manage time. They don't create more time for you. YOU create more time for you.Listen to today's episode where I share the paradoxical nature of time and how to make more of it. How many times have you been pumped up to make changes in your life only to be disappointed when you quit a few days or weeks into your new habits? No amount of cute workout clothes or pretty planners is going to get you through the resistance and old programming that your brain offers you. Here are a few highlights: Why we always have resistance to new habits at first What it means to live in the ‘both, and' world in the first 90 days of your new habit plan The 2 questions you need to answer before you start a new habit Why deciding between being outcome or process-focused is the key to sustainable success The different phases of building new habits We all have human brains, which means that we've all been stalled with resistance while trying to form new habits. To create discipline and develop long-term habits, we must learn how to plan for and manage our brain's stories when they inevitably crop up. Listen in to approach things differently. I never meant to be a stay at home mom. I thought I would be really driven in a career and that would be my #1. I quickly learned life sometimes has other plans and after a cross-country move while pregnant, I realized people really don't like to hire pregnant ladies. The next few years were spent searching for legitimate ways to make money from home. I tried: surveys, answering questions via text, blogging, a MLM, a handmade sewing business, and cold calling sales. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-naked-podcaster/message Support this podcast

Samantha Siffring is a Colorado mom of three who got her Master’s in counseling but opted out of owning her own practice so that she could instead become a SAHM which eventually led her to blend both worlds and becoming an online business Business Consultant and Coach for Moms. She spent the first year in business making a ton of mistakes but then figured out that she was just focusing on the wrong thing. Instead of website details and creating content, she just needed to hone in on her visibility! Full Shownotes: http://busymomcollective.com/ep27
