Star Wars 1313, jeu d'action/aventure se déroulant dans le monde très riche de Star Wars, était attendu de pied ferme par les joueurs et fans de la saga. Mais Disney en a décidé autrement... LucasArts, studio de George Lucas, a connu son heure de gloire. Elle a fini par s'essouffler et, pour redynamiser l'entreprise, l'idée est venue d'un nouveau jeu, complètement inédit, mature et innovant. Le développement commence en 2008, mais passe par plusieurs étapes sans jamais se décider sur une idée. En 2010 arrive un nouveau directeur qui reprend les rennes du projet, et qui arrive à définir un cadre à ce nouveau jeu Star Wars que tout le monde attend. Il s'appellera Star Wars 1313. LucasArts was one of the most successful video game developers of the 80s and 90s, delivering several classics such as Pipe Dream (1989), The Secret of Monkey Island (1990), Day of the Tentacle (1993), and X-wing versus TIE Fighter (1997). But in the 2000s LucasArts struggled to maintain its prominence in the industry. They came up with one of their most ambitious ideas for a game to get themselves back on track. Nieuwe beelden van geannuleerde game Star Wars 1313 Nu februari er dan bijna is, de games voor een groot deel gold zijn, werd het tijd dat we wat gingen horen over nieuwe games. En dus zagen we opeens nieuwe beelden van een oude game. Star Wars 1313, ken je dat nog? Het was een Star Wars game van LucasArts, aangekondigd terug in 2013. Maar nooit afgemaakt. Tot onze grote spijt. Daarnaast hebben we het ook over andere Star Wars games. Wel drie te verstaan. En niet van één en dezelfde serie. Het zijn games uit meerdere genres. Zo zit er een FPS bij en een strategy game. Dit is niet het enige wat we vandaag hebben aan nieuwtjes. Want de week zat ram vol met nieuws... As usual, we get plenty of toy talk in during the show which was recorded in its entirety at Denver Comic Con 2012. In Masters news, we're getting a great quarterly variant in one of my favorite vintage toys, Dragon Blaster Skeletor. While we're in a holding pattern with Joe for the next 7-8 months, we got an amazing Joe compatible product in Marauder "Gun-Runners" Series 6. In the "coolest thing I've seen in a while" category is this Star Wars Lego hologram display. My favorite news of the show? Masterpiece Soundwave with a MP Laserbeak and his other minions are not only confirmed, but displayed. While the uncharismatic bore is a pretty simple Masterpiece relatively, the Laserbeak is amazing. His guns actually fold in on his cassette mode. I CANNOT wait for this, no pun intended, masterpiece.
