Before we get started, I want to extend my sincere gratitude to The Network Studios in Culver City for making this week's episode recording possible. From the ease of scheduling to their outstanding facilities and podcast production expertise, the entire experience was exceptional. A special thank you goes to studio owner Kenyon, whose generosity, kindness, hospitality, and willingness to help made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. For more information or to schedule a session when you're in the Southern California area, contact TNS at the URL below. For years, Lee Cooper and I have spoken across an ocean. We've recorded podcast episodes together, exchanged messages, supported one another's work, and watched each other's journeys unfold from opposite sides of the world. This week, that changed. After years of conversations through microphones and computer screens, Lee and I finally sat down together in the same room to record this episode from Southern California. Longtime listeners may remember Lee from previous appearances on the podcast, where he courageously shared his experience of surviving childhood sexual abuse and spoke openly about the challenges, setbacks, and victories that accompanied his healing journey. He later returned to introduce Victorious Voices, a survivor community he created to help people impacted by sexual trauma find connection, understanding, and support. Since then, that vision has continued to expand. What began as one survivor's decision to break his silence has grown into an international movement that brings survivors together through community, advocacy, conversation, creativity, and shared understanding. Lee is also an extraordinarily talented photographer whose work has been exhibited internationally. Through the Victorious Voices Portrait Project, survivors are invited to step in front of the camera and reclaim ownership of how they are seen. The portraits are not about victimization. They are about humanity, dignity, resilience, courage, and hope. During Lee's recent visit to Southern California, he invited me to participate in the project myself. It was a tremendous honor and a deeply meaningful experience that made this conversation even more special. This episode is about much more than photography. It's about friendship, healing, purpose, and what becomes possible when survivors refuse to remain invisible. Lee's work continues to challenge silence while creating spaces where people can be seen, heard, believed, and supported. If you've ever wondered how one person's decision to tell the truth can grow into something that impacts lives around the world, I think you'll find this conversation both powerful and unforgettable. An important side note: if you're finding value in this show and these conversations, please consider leaving a 5-star rating on your podcast platform—it truly helps more people find these stories. You can also follow Sexual Assault Survivor Stories on Instagram and send me a note of support. I can't tell you how much your emails mean to me—they fuel my passion to keep this podcast going. And if you're a victim or survivor and you feel like you might be ready to share your story—whether for your own healing or to help someone else—reach out to me. We can start a conversation, with no pressure and no expectations. You can email me directly at dave@sasstories.com. Please include a phone number where I can reach you, because I genuinely prefer to talk with people who are considering guesting. Thank you to everyone who has already reached out—and please keep those emails coming. I truly look forward to hearing from you. Here are some critically important links that I hope you'll take the time to explore. Where a contribution is requested, please consider doing so. By Doug Green “Businesses are experiencing a form of identity theft in voice—and they're paying the price for fraud they didn't create.” At the Channel Partners Conference & Expo 2026, I spoke with Maurie Munro, Vice President of Enterprise Sales at Transaction Network Services (TNS), about one of the most urgent challenges facing the telecom ecosystem: the collapse of trust in voice. TNS operates at the intersection of enterprises, carriers, and consumers, with a communications division focused on ensuring that legitimate calls are delivered, recognized, and trusted. But as Munro explained, the reality is far more complex. Today's voice environment is shaped by widespread spoofing and fraud, where bad actors impersonate legitimate businesses by using real phone numbers without authorization. The result is what Munro describes as “identity theft in voice,” where enterprises suffer reputational and operational damage from activity they didn't initiate. Consumers, in turn, have adapted. Caller ID is no longer trusted. Calls are ignored, labeled as “Spam Likely,” or blocked altogether—often impacting legitimate outreach. For enterprises, that translates into declining answer rates, reduced campaign performance, and strained customer relationships. TNS brings a data-driven approach to solving this problem, processing more than 1.5 billion call events daily. This scale gives the company deep visibility into how calls are treated across networks and where breakdowns in trust occur. The company's TNS-COM business focuses on three critical areas: Spoof protection, which helps enterprises identify when and how their numbers are being misused without their knowledge Enterprise branded calling, which displays a verified business name and logo on the consumer's device Telephone number reputation monitoring, providing visibility into how calls are labeled, scored, and treated across the ecosystem Together, these capabilities help enterprises protect their brand identity in voice—much like consumers monitor and protect their personal identity in financial systems. The impact is particularly acute in high-touch industries such as banking, healthcare, retail, and contact centers, where voice remains essential for critical communications like fraud alerts, appointment reminders, and service notifications. When those calls fail to connect—or worse, are mistrusted—the consequences ripple across operations, increasing costs and reducing effectiveness. Looking ahead, Munro sees branded calling evolving beyond simple identification. While displaying a business name is important, the future lies in richer context—logo, intent, and verified identity working together to rebuild trust at scale. “The goal isn't just to get the call through,” Munro emphasized. “It's to ensure the person receiving it knows who it's from—and can trust it.” As the industry continues to combat fraud and improve call authentication frameworks, the next phase is clear: restoring confidence in voice as a trusted channel for both businesses and consumers. Remarkable Marketing

It's easy for B2B marketing to sound interchangeable. That's why Steve Jobs and Conrad Hilton are such compelling leaders to learn from. Behind Apple and Hilton is a disciplined approach to customer experience, brand consistency, and raising expectations instead of reacting to them. In this episode, we unpack the B2B marketing lessons behind two of the world's most iconic brands with the help of our special guest Sharon Oddy, VP of Marketing & Communications at TNS. Together, we explore what B2B marketers can learn from anchoring their positioning in customer experience, building trust through consistency, and delivering value buyers didn't even realize they were missing. About our guest, Sharon Oddy Sharon Oddy is the VP of Marketing & Communications at TNS. She's a marketing professional who understands the power of storytelling, the importance of a consistent narrative and the art of using it to inspire action. Sharon is an effective and talented communicator who makes the extraordinarily complex, comprehensible. She's a versatile and decisive leader skilled at building high-performing teams and activating cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic growth, customer retention and acquisition globally. What B2B Companies Can Learn From Steve Jobs + Conrad Hilton: Customer obsession is the only real differentiator. Jobs and Hilton didn't win because they had better marketing. They won because they cared more about the customer experience than anyone else. Sharon nails the mindset: “They listened and they observed in a way that put them in the shoe of the customer.” Jobs makes it the rule: “You've gotta start with the customer experience and work backwards to the technology.” The B2B takeaway is clear: if your marketing starts with what you want to sell instead of what your customer needs to feel, you're already behind. The brands that win build from the buyer backward. Trust is built in the details. Hilton's last words weren't about expansion or revenue. They were: “Leave the shower curtain on the inside of the tub.” Jobs obsessed over design even when customers would never see it. Why? Because as Sharon puts it: “It's always about putting the customer first.” In B2B, this means your credibility lives in execution; consistent messaging, polished touchpoints, and an experience that feels dependable. Don't let the small things create big doubt. The best marketers redefine demand. Customers can't always tell you what they want, but great companies can see what they struggle with. Sharon explains, “Jobs was really good at looking at people and saying, what are they struggling with and how do I make that experience better? Because when I do and they taste it, they're never going back.” That's the B2B lesson: don't just market what exists, create the expectation for something better. The strongest marketing doesn't follow the category. It changes what the category believes is possible. Quote “  If you keep looking backwards and trying to copy instead of lead. That's [an] area of demise. You can't look back and be like, “What does everybody else do? What does everybody else think?” You just have to have confidence that you understand your audience. You understand where the puck is moving, and you're going to keep going forward.” Time Stamps [01:20] Meet Sharon Oddy, VP of Marketing & Communications at TNS [01:27] Why Steve Jobs & Conrad Hilton? At ITEXPO / MSP EXPO in Fort Lauderdale, Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, spoke with Lloyd Tjom, Director of Sales at Transaction Network Services (TNS), about the growing importance of RCS and the future of trusted messaging. TNS is also a member of the Cloud Communications Alliance (CCA). TNS operates at the center of the communications ecosystem, providing numbering, routing, authentication, and identity services to carriers and communication service providers (CSPs) worldwide. As messaging evolves beyond SMS and MMS, TNS is focused on helping the industry deliver secure, reliable, and commercially viable Rich Communication Services (RCS). “RCS is the evolution,” Tjom explained. Originally introduced by the GSM Association in 2007, RCS has gained new momentum with broad device support—including adoption by Apple—bringing both Android and iOS into alignment. With that shift, RCS is positioned to become a mainstream messaging channel capable of supporting richer interactions and higher trust. Unlike traditional SMS, RCS enables branded messaging, verified sender badges, logos, read receipts, and interactive features such as carousels and embedded actions. “If they're a vetted partner that has got the branding as well as the verified mark, then you know you're dealing with the right party on the other end,” Tjom said. In an era of phishing and spoofing, verified identity and “know your business” (KYB) vetting are essential components of restoring trust in messaging channels. Tjom emphasized that the phone number remains central to digital identity. For many consumers, a single mobile number has followed them for decades, becoming a stable anchor of trust across carriers and geographies. As RCS scales, however, CSPs must address fragmentation, infrastructure inconsistencies, and bad actors within the ecosystem. Broader adherence to standards, stronger onboarding controls, and rapid mitigation of vulnerabilities will be critical for unlocking RCS's full commercial potential. Looking ahead, Tjom sees RCS becoming the default channel for trusted business communications—enabling full conversational commerce, customer service workflows, flight changes, purchases, and more within a verified, branded environment. “It really has got so many different potentials out there,” he noted, “but it all comes back to trusted communications.” Visit https://tnsi.com/

Sarah Halko, Head of Regulatory and Industry Relations at TNS, joined Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, for a Cloud Communications Alliance (CCA) podcast focused on the FCC's Do Not Originate (DNO) mandate and its role in combating robocalls and caller ID spoofing. Halko explained that DNO (Do Not Originate) identifies phone numbers that should never be used for outbound calling—such as invalid, unallocated, or inbound-only numbers like government agencies. Blocking calls that spoof these numbers allows service providers to stop obvious fraud earlier in the call path, before it reaches consumers. While DNO began as an optional tool in 2017, regulatory expectations have steadily increased. As of December 15, 2025, every service provider in the call flow must maintain a “reasonable DNO list,” making accurate, up-to-date data essential for compliance. “Without reliable, authoritative numbering data, service providers can't confidently determine which calls should be blocked,” Halko said. “DNO compliance ultimately depends on knowing how numbers are assigned, used, and routed in real time.” TNS supports providers by delivering trusted, continuously updated numbering and routing intelligence across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. This enables earlier, more accurate call blocking and reduces the risk of false positives or missed fraudulent traffic. Looking ahead, Halko emphasized that DNO is only one part of a broader trust framework that also includes analytics, traceback, authentication (STIR/SHAKEN), and Know Your Customer practices—all working together to protect network integrity. Convoso Tackles Call Reputation Challenges with AI-Driven Ignite, Podcast

Nima Hakimi, CEO and Co-Founder of Convoso, joined Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, to discuss one of the most pressing issues facing legitimate outbound sales teams today: how to reach customers when carriers are aggressively filtering calls. Convoso serves revenue teams in insurance, financial services, and home services—organizations that depend on connecting with leads who have actively expressed intent. But even calls to fully permissioned customers are increasingly mislabeled as spam, scam, or telemarketer, damaging contact rates and revenue. A Broken System for Legitimate Businesses Hakimi notes that carriers and analytics providers like Hiya, TNS, and First Orion are trying to stop fraud, but the system is far from perfect. “You can have consent, follow the rules, and still get mislabeled,” he explained. For outbound teams spending heavily on leads and labor, this results in wasted efforts, lost deals, and lower productivity. Convoso's response is Ignite, an AI-powered engine that monitors caller ID reputation, analyzes contact-rate drops, and automatically selects the best-performing number in real time. It deprioritizes numbers falsely flagged by carriers and optimizes outreach across voice and text to preserve compliance and improve connection rates. Solving the “Black Box” Problem Because no carrier provides a clear standard for avoiding flags, Convoso built Ignite to manage the number lifecycle automatically preventing declines that teams only notice after revenue is lost. What's Next Hakimi says 2026 will be defined by deeper AI integration, improved lead-quality prediction, and greater automation of dialer operations. “We're helping teams make better real-time decisions using the data they already have,” he said. Much like the patience and precision required to land a trophy fish, Jim has mastered the art of reeling in big deals by navigating the waters of rejection, resilience, and relationship-building. He also sheds light on the critical role TNS plays in safeguarding business communications, combating issues like spam and spoofing that erode consumer trust. In this conversation on high-performance sales leadership, Jim emphasizes the importance of treating team members as unique individuals, fostering trust, and creating a results-driven environment inspired by Jack Welch's performance-oriented management style. He unpacks the most common pitfalls in sales leadership—from mishandled compensation to lack of transparency—and shares hard-earned lessons from his own career. Beyond sales, Jim dives into the psychology of motivation and authenticity in leadership, highlighting how personal experiences shape work ethic. He discusses what truly drives people—whether it's the lure of success or the fear of failure—and the difference between hollow praise and meaningful recognition. Drawing from decades of experience, he underscores the power of genuine relationships and trusted networks as the ultimate fishing net for long-term success in sales. Whether you're angling for bigger deals or leading a team of top performers, Jim's insights will help you refine your approach and land the big one. Jim Moineau is a seasoned sales leader with over 40 years of experience in channel sales, sales management, and executive selling. As Senior Channel Sales Director at Transaction Network Services, he consistently ranks in the top 10% of performers, driving revenue and building high-impact sales teams. A proven channel champion, he has held key roles at Metromedia, AT&T, Level 3, and Masergy, where he became the top seller of all time, contributing 10% of company revenue ($6M MRR). Focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes and financial success for partners, Jim leads with a results-driven mindset—win or move on. Outside of work, he is a passionate former chef, avid offshore and fly fisherman, and dedicated cyclist. Originally from Palm Beach County and Boston, MA, he brings the same energy and precision to his personal pursuits as he does to sales.    Quotes: "Rejection is not the end—it's the beginning of a conversation. In this episode, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon chats with Dr. Anthony Gustin about Muscle-Centric-Medicine®.   With her background in family medicine, geriatrics, and nutritional science, Dr. Lyon discovered that optimizing your health starts by focusing on the biggest organ in your body: skeletal muscle.   Her book Forever Strong outlines how your muscle health directly impacts your metabolic health, mental health, and overall lifespan.   As she says, “Muscle is the key to longevity and aging well. The more muscle health you have, the better your trajectory of aging.”   So she uses this approach to help the world's game changers — from Navy SEALs and elite athletes to CEOs and entrepreneurs — become the best versions of themselves.   During their conversation, Dr. Gustin and Dr. Lyon discuss: The habits, behaviors, and standards her high-performing patients share that predict success across every aspect of their lives. How to create systems that address your personal weaknesses and outsmart your predictability. Why muscle health is so underappreciated and often ignored. Signs you don't have healthy skeletal muscle. Why a lack of muscle is a greater health threat than obesity. Measuring strength vs. power to determine muscle quality. The importance of eating enough protein, working out hard enough, and building/preserving muscle mass as we age.    Resources mentioned in this episode: Go to EquipFoods.com/TNS to grab 15% off your order Visit LineageProvisions.com and use code AG20 for 20% off your first order Dr. Gabrielle Lyon's Website: DrGabrielleLyon.com Dr. Lyon's Book: Forever Strong: A New, Science-Based Strategy for Aging Well Dr. Lyon's Podcast: The Dr. Gabrielle Lyon Show Dr. Lyon's Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok: @DrGabrielleLyon
