Join us as Jim Moineau, Senior Director of Channel Sales at Transaction Network Services, shares his transformative journey from a passionate chef to a powerhouse in sales. Much like the patience and precision required to land a trophy fish, Jim has mastered the art of reeling in big deals by navigating the waters of rejection, resilience, and relationship-building. He also sheds light on the critical role TNS plays in safeguarding business communications, combating issues like spam and spoofing that erode consumer trust. In this conversation on high-performance sales leadership, Jim emphasizes the importance of treating team members as unique individuals, fostering trust, and creating a results-driven environment inspired by Jack Welch's performance-oriented management style. He unpacks the most common pitfalls in sales leadership—from mishandled compensation to lack of transparency—and shares hard-earned lessons from his own career. Beyond sales, Jim dives into the psychology of motivation and authenticity in leadership, highlighting how personal experiences shape work ethic. He discusses what truly drives people—whether it's the lure of success or the fear of failure—and the difference between hollow praise and meaningful recognition. Drawing from decades of experience, he underscores the power of genuine relationships and trusted networks as the ultimate fishing net for long-term success in sales. Whether you're angling for bigger deals or leading a team of top performers, Jim's insights will help you refine your approach and land the big one. Jim Moineau is a seasoned sales leader with over 40 years of experience in channel sales, sales management, and executive selling. As Senior Channel Sales Director at Transaction Network Services, he consistently ranks in the top 10% of performers, driving revenue and building high-impact sales teams. A proven channel champion, he has held key roles at Metromedia, AT&T, Level 3, and Masergy, where he became the top seller of all time, contributing 10% of company revenue ($6M MRR). Focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes and financial success for partners, Jim leads with a results-driven mindset—win or move on. Outside of work, he is a passionate former chef, avid offshore and fly fisherman, and dedicated cyclist. Originally from Palm Beach County and Boston, MA, he brings the same energy and precision to his personal pursuits as he does to sales.    Quotes: "Rejection is not the end—it's the beginning of a conversation. Embrace it as a sign that something is happening."  "True leadership is about understanding that work impacts personal and family well-being, and treating each team member as an individual with unique needs."  "The essence of effective sales leadership lies in authenticity and trust. It's about fostering meaningful connections and leveraging trusted contacts for success."  "From selling beepers using pay phones to leading channel sales, my journey has always been about tenacity and never giving up."    Links:  Jim's LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/jimmoineau/ Transaction Network Services - https://tnsi.com Find this episode and all other Sales Lead Dog Episodes at https://empellorcrm.com/salesleaddog/

Ongoing challenges and gains in the big battle on illegitimate robocalling, TNS Podcast,  The point is to enable a calling party who has a legitimate reason to contact a consumer to actually contact that consumer and get that consumer to be promoted or enhanced or encouraged to pick up the phone call and make the connection.” “What's the point of all this,” asks John Haraburda, Director of Product Management, of Transaction Network Services (TNS). The point is to enable a calling party who has a legitimate reason to contact a consumer to actually contact that consumer and get that consumer to be promoted or enhanced or encouraged to pick up the phone call and make the connection.” The long struggle to curb illegitimate robocalling has seen progress and victories, but the battle has left scars on the effectiveness of outbound calling, as a communications tool. Too many people are seeing legitimate inbound calls, as spam. In this podcast, we learn about a recent report TNS conducted on robocalling. We learn about trends and approaches to challenges. John also outlines the YNS approach. TNS Half Year 2024 Robocall Report: Smaller Carriers Increase Signed Call Traffic, But Interconnectivity Challenges Limit STIR/SHAKEN Gains Transaction Network Services (TNS) analyzes more than 1.5 billion daily call events across hundreds of carrier networks to identify current robocall trends and scams while supporting over 125 service providers in North America (including four out of the top seven U.S. carriers). TNS' latest Robocall Investigation Report found that while Tier-1 carriers have successfully implemented STIR/SHAKEN, smaller carriers still face connectivity challenges, leaving them vulnerable to AI-driven deepfake attacks and other scams. The Report found that although smaller carriers increased the total volume of signed call traffic in the first half of the year, there is a crucial transition period needed where carriers, regulators and telecom stakeholders must support smaller carriers' network capabilities. The Report also shares some of the top robocall scams in 2024, including tax, elder and cryptocurrency scams, with political disinformation spreading through AI-generated robocalls remaining a significant concern ahead of the 2024 election. About TNS TNS, a market leader in call identification and robocall mitigation, provides an end-to-end ecosystem for protecting and restoring trust in voice calling. TNS addresses the full needs of wireless and wireline operators globally with TNS Call Guardian®, the industry-leading call analytics solution that protects subscribers from high risk and nuisance robocalls. In addition, its Enterprise product suite, including TNS Enterprise Authentication and Spoof Protection and TNS Enterprise Branded Calling, is taking the next step in enriching consumer engagement, making the voice channel an integral part of an omnichannel customer experience program. TNS analyzes over 1.5 billion call events across more than 500 operators every single day, enabling enterprises to protect their brand and consumers, and carriers to identify more unwanted robocalls. In Touch has been hearing that many local Talking Newspapers are experiencing long delays linked to the postal service. Talking Newspapers are an essential service to blind and partially sighted people, as it keeps people informed of localised events and news. Listeners access a TN via recorded readings of the local papers by volunteers. The recordings are then put onto the listeners preferred format - be that a USB stick, a CD or even a cassette tape - and then are delivered to the listener's front door. Under Royal Mail's Articles for the Blind scheme, these are supposed to be delivered via first class mail, but the TNs are reporting that this is not happening. We hear from a number of local TNs and from the Talking Newspaper Federation. It will soon be time for the Paralympics, the worlds biggest celebration of disability sport. As a warm up to the event, In Touch meets Eliza and Scarlet Humphrey who are twins, are both totally blind and are both competing in swimming at the Paralympics 2024.Presenter: Peter White Producer: Beth Hemmings Production Coordinator: David Baguley Website image description: Peter White sits smiling in the centre of the image and he is wearing a dark green jumper. In this episode, Dr. Gabrielle Lyon chats with Dr. Anthony Gustin about Muscle-Centric-Medicine®.   With her background in family medicine, geriatrics, and nutritional science, Dr. Lyon discovered that optimizing your health starts by focusing on the biggest organ in your body: skeletal muscle.   Her book Forever Strong outlines how your muscle health directly impacts your metabolic health, mental health, and overall lifespan.   As she says, “Muscle is the key to longevity and aging well. The more muscle health you have, the better your trajectory of aging.”   So she uses this approach to help the world's game changers — from Navy SEALs and elite athletes to CEOs and entrepreneurs — become the best versions of themselves.   During their conversation, Dr. Gustin and Dr. Lyon discuss: The habits, behaviors, and standards her high-performing patients share that predict success across every aspect of their lives. How to create systems that address your personal weaknesses and outsmart your predictability. Why muscle health is so underappreciated and often ignored. Signs you don't have healthy skeletal muscle. Why a lack of muscle is a greater health threat than obesity. Measuring strength vs. power to determine muscle quality. The importance of eating enough protein, working out hard enough, and building/preserving muscle mass as we age.    Resources mentioned in this episode: Go to EquipFoods.com/TNS to grab 15% off your order Visit LineageProvisions.com and use code AG20 for 20% off your first order Dr. Gabrielle Lyon's Website: DrGabrielleLyon.com Dr. Lyon's Book: Forever Strong: A New, Science-Based Strategy for Aging Well Dr. Lyon's Podcast: The Dr. Gabrielle Lyon Show Dr. Lyon's Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok: @DrGabrielleLyon
