Throughout history, rare individuals have surfaced with uncanny mental abilities—figures who briefly captured the spotlight, altered events in extraordinary ways, and then faded into mystery. But what truly empowers them? Are they awakening a lost human skill, channeling spirits, or manipulated by darker, hidden forces? In this episode, we revisit the life of Ted Owens, the “PK Man,” who claimed his psychic abilities—from weather control to mind-reading—were enhanced by beings he called the “Space Intelligences.” His startling predictions, apparent influence over natural disasters, and disturbing warnings to government officials earned the attention of top researchers. But was Owens a gifted pioneer tapping into human potential—or merely a pawn of manipulative, otherworldly forces? Then, for our Plus+ Members, we continue exploring the theme of extraordinary abilities, following the strange case of a man whose vivid dreams appeared to predict future catastrophes—visions that, much like Owens' experiences, hint at an unseen intelligence shaping human destiny. Wake UP. He tried to leave a trail -- outlining the tremendous possibility -- [in apparent dormancy?] -- of Human potential. Known as The PK Man, Ted Owens said he could influence the weather, predict disasters, alter behavior, and even summon UFOs. Even better -- spanning decades, obsessive in nature, his records were meticulous. Ted provided documented cases to back his claims. A follow up - with bonus outtakes from my interview with filmmaker Lance Mungia on his newest project—a documentary based on the incredible life of Ted Owens, a man who claimed to harness psychokinetic powers through contact with "Space Intelligences." Lance is using AI to recreate Ted. Combining voice and image files, we see Ted as a real life character. AI is changing filmmaking as we know it. This new film is directed by Lance Mungia (Third Eye Spies, The Phenomenon) and produced in partnership with Dr. Jeffrey Mishlove, parapsychologist and author of The PK Man, who spent decades documenting Owens's life, experiments, and hundreds of uncanny predictions. We dive into the wild life of Ted Owens, aka the "PK Man," who claimed he had some psychic powers and could chat with beings from other dimensions. Like a real-life Professor X, Owens reportedly demonstrated uncanny predictive powers and the ability to influence events, from weather patterns to sports outcomes. We go through his most notable predictions and alleged feats, discussing the fine line between coincidence and unexplained phenomena, and what it might mean if someone actually had powers like that. In this monologue/dialogue, Jeffrey Mishlove reviews the project from the previous winter in which he ostensibly engaged with the deceased Ted Owens to affect the weather in Ukraine. How did Ted know certain events were going to happen? He claimed ETs, "Space Intelligences" told him. The story of Ted Owens is a challenge for skeptics. The PK Man: A True Story of Mind Over Matter, Amazon - by Jeffrey Mishlove Forward by John E. Mack Ted Owens claimed he had been visited by extraterrestrials (ETs). He said the ETs taught him how to use his mind to control objects and events, a power that he called "psychokinesis" or PK. Owens claimed he used his PK abilities to predict future events, such as the outcome of sporting events and the stock market. He also claimed that he used his PK abilities to help people, such as by healing the sick and preventing accidents. Ted called the ETs, "Space Intelligences" ... When claims of his PK abilities were ignored or challenged, he rebelled and is said to have produced earthquakes, civil unrest, UFO sightings, strange weather events, and other powerful phenomena. Jeffrey Mishlove saw more than a few demonstrations. Enough to say Ted did indeed possess abilities that are beyond explanation. Regarding his temper and creating disturbances or causing physical harm when aggravated, Jeffrey says he experienced the effects of one of those negative outbursts. Ted acknowledged (without being confronted or accused) his actions and apologized. Amazon Reviews - 1. "The reason this book is on my keeper shelf is because of the valuable exercises in Chapter 11. I found them to be empowering and unique. If you are interested in developing abilities or honing what you have, have a look at them." 2. "I knew Mr. Owens from about 1970 to 1973 and have read other books, magazines and articles about Ted, or written by Ted, or his preferred biographer, Otto Binder, who wrote the original comic "I Robot" which later became famous for Isaac Asimov as a book." For some time now here on the Point of Convergence podcast, we've been discussing the many ways that various forms of high strangeness tend to, well, converge. As we've discussed previously, often that means an individual who's experienced one form of high strangeness is quite likely to have experienced others as well. The crossover effect, as one might call it, involves everything from NDEs (near death experiences), to contact with deceased, discarnate human beings, to OBEs (out of body experiences), to UFO sightings and apparent contact with non-human intelligences, as well as a wide variety of Psi phenomena (or what used to be more commonly referred to as "ESP", or extra sensory perception) including clairvoyance, telepathy, psychokinesis, precognition, etc. A central question that arises from the well-attested data we've just discussed is, what makes these more sensitive people the way they are? How is it that they are so much more attuned to this apparently broader bandwidth of reality than the rest of the population? Are they harbingers of what's to come: a glimpse into the emerging evolutionary track of humankind in general? And regarding this shift into these new capacities, are these gifts, as one might refer to them, "natural", or have such people been genetically "enhanced" somehow, perhaps by the intervention of a more sophisticated alien species? The fascinating but bewildering case of Ted Owens is an interesting case in point, as it pertains to this question specifically. Not only was Ted Owens a man who seemed to know the future, and be able to -- to absolutely discombobulating degrees -- actually manifest it, often it seemed in whatever way he so chose -- but he claimed to have had these astounding and well documented powers because of the very kind of alien intervention we just surmised about. In fact, Owens went further. Not only did he claim that he had been entrained and led into certain kinds of life experiences, from early childhood on, by these highly advanced non-human intelligences, but he also insisted he had been operated on, neurologically, to fine-tune and further greatly enhance his innate predispositions for psychic and psychokinetic activity. Indeed, Owens claims all of the psychokinetic feats he went on to perform were done in partnership with what he called "space intelligences", who were orbiting the earth in vast, sophisticated spacecraft that remained cloaked to the majority of the human race. Regardless of whether or not you believe Owens' account about how he received his unique gifts, one thing is clear: he had these gifts. And he had them to degrees - it is fair to say - not seen perhaps in any other human being in the history of the world. And most compellingly, this is not merely here-say, pieced together from accounts found here and there. No, Owens case is very well attested, as well-known and much respected para-psychologist Jeffrey Mishlove -- long known in the public sphere for his role as host of the program New Thinking Allowed, followed and documented Owens exploits for a full decade, ultimately resulting in Mishlove's much respected book, The PK Man. How is it that a human being is able to will into existence phenomena such as hurricanes, tornados, power blackouts, broadly reported UFO sightings, lightning strikes, droughts, almost on demand? As astounding as these exploits were, was this more about precognition? Did Owens somehow rely on happening to know these events were going to happen -- which is of course, astounding enough, all on its own. Or, did he actually in reality manifest them? And if the latter is the case, did he indeed do so with the assistance and sometimes inspiration of an alien intelligence that was orbiting the planet at the very times these events were predicted and then occurred - as Owens himself claimed?
Jeffrey Mishlove, in conversation with himself, explores the relationship between aliens associated with UFOs and discarnate humans. He refers to his own study of Ted Owens, The PK Man, as well as the experiences of Whitley Strieber. He also brings up survey research data and, additionally, draws on accounts from folklore, religion, and popular culture. … Continue reading "InPresence 0225: Aliens in the Afterlife"
Psychologist Jeffrey Mishlove has spent decades know - and researching the work of - Ted Owens a.k.a. "The PK Man" who, it's claimed, used his mind to make big and sometimes scary things happen...
Once again, Jeffrey engages himself in a conversation. Here he shares his preparations for a presentation to the Rhine Research Center in Durham, North Carolina, about his ten-year field investigation of Ted Owens. Of particular interest is the fact that, in the mid-1940s, Ted Owens actually worked at the Duke University parapsychology lab as an … Continue reading "InPresence 0214: Reflections on The PK Man (Jeff interviews himself)"

And though his tenure didn't end the way he would've liked, Ted Owens isn't bitter about his experience at KU. If anything, Owens fondly remembers his time as the Kansas head coach, which includes trips to two Final Fours and some of the all-time KU greats. He coached five All-Americans, all of whom have jerseys hanging in Allen Fieldhouse, and won six Big Eight Conference titles. And despite the ending, the opportunity to lead the Kansas program and the love he felt from Jayhawk fans are things he won't ever forget. What led to so many good days, moments and memories? Today's episode is a very powerful message, it's about life and the sudden unexpected loss of a loved one. It's about capturing people and moments before it's too late. Following on from episode 42, our interview with Nathan Black, something happened over Christmas that Glyn wants to talk about. It's quite emotional but a really important message if you have the ability to make a difference with photography. Don't believe in psychokinesis? This story might make you question if you don't. The PK Man: A True Story of Mind Over Matter, by Jeffrey Mishlove Forward by John E. Mack Ted Owens demonstrated powerful psychokinetic abilities he claimed had been given to him by "Space Intelligences" ... When these claims were ignored or challenged, he rebelled and is said to have produced earthquakes, civil unrest, UFO sightings, strange weather events, and other powerful phenomena. True story. Jeffrey Mishlove saw more than a few demonstrations. Enough to say Ted did indeed possess abilities that are beyond explanation. Amazon Reviews - 1. "The reason this book is on my keeper shelf is because of the valuable exercises in Chapter 11. I found them to be empowering and unique. If you are interested in developing abilities or honing what you have, have a look at them." 2. "I knew Mr. Owens from about 1970 to 1973 and have read other books, magazines and articles about Ted, or written by Ted, or his preferred biographer, Otto Binder, who wrote the original comic "I Robot" which later became famous for Isaac Asimov as a book."Follow Jeffrey Mishlove on YouTube: New Thinking Allowed.
