Nathan and Eppy complete the Wiard World Tour with this two-parter, episodes 3 and 4 from season 6: Only Rock 'n Roll Will Never Die. Show favorite George Loros guest stars as Eddie, a prison buddy of Jim's now working for rock star Tim Ritchie. He reaches out to Rockford to find a missing member of Ritchie's entourage, but the mystery of what happened mostly backgrounds the (anti) romance of Eddie with reporter Whitney Cox. Jim navigates Eddie's neuroses, an on-going court case, the mob and the whims of a rockstar who has it all in this two-parter that we find almost too relaxed in its storytelling (even though the character stuff is Very Good). We have another podcast: Plus Expenses. Covering our non-Rockford media, games and life chatter, Plus Expenses is available via our Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/twohundredaday) at ALL levels of support. Former radio presenter and ABC executive Tim Ritchie found a new career as a photographer almost by accident. Seeking to improve his health and manage his diabetes, Ritchie learned how to ride a bike with his daughter's help. Cycling up Sydney's hills proved more beneficial than his previous exercise routine, and he began capturing the beauty he encountered around Sydney in the early hours, with a camera.    Leaving his executive position, Ritchie rediscovered his creative side through photography and started cycling specifically for capturing photos. Sharing his work on social media gained positive attention, and he aspires to be recognized as Sydney's "photographer of emptiness." Ritchie's photography has become his primary vocation, exhibiting in shows such as the Venice Biennale, and he continues to explore Sydney's tranquil moments before the city awakens each morning, driven by a passion for both health and creativity.   We talk about his career in radio and as a club DJ, his passion for dew and raindrops, how photography has filled the creative void in his life along with much more! Matt Fitzgerald has been running (and writing about running) for most of his adult life. Like many passionate amateur runners, he never felt he quite fulfilled his potential. In his mid-forties, Matt convinced Ben Rosario, head coach of Northern Arizona Elite, to let him train with a roster of national champions and Olympic hopefuls in the running mecca of Flagstaff, Arizona. These runners included Scott Fauble, Kellyn Taylor, Stephanie and Ben Bruce, Matt Llano, Tim Ritchie, and several others. Matt's mission: Run the race of his life at the Chicago Marathon by preparing exactly like a professional runner. Matt’s gripping account of his “fake pro runner” experience allows us to partake in his dream of fulfilling his potential. Matt also details this process through the eyes of the pro's who live that life year round, year after year. Running the Dream pulls us into the rarefied world of professional running in a way we can all relate to, regardless of speed, and to take away pieces of one man’s amazing journey to try to achieve our own potential. Today, BJ plays host to the YTP when he interviews his lifelong friend, Michael Silva. Mike is the founder and President of FOUNDATIONperformance. He is an orthopedic, sports medicine physical therapist, exercise physiologist, and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Much of his career since 2000 has been in rehabilitating and preventing injuries in the distance running world. He has worked with runners associated with the USA National Olympic team, Irish National Olympic team, New Zealand National Olympic team, Australia National Olympic team, most of the colleges and universities in New England, Boston Athletic Association, and more. Some of his elite running clients include Molly Huddle, Amy Hastings-Craig, Johnny Gregorek, Roisin McGettigan, Tim Ritchie, Lauren Fleshman, Kim Smith, Amy Rudolph, Marc Carroll, Keith Kelly, Amy Mortimer, Mary Cullen, and Sara Jameison. Today is a deep dive into Mike's story. He shares the leap of faith; he and his wife, Carla, took to open FOUNDATIONperformance during a time in their life when taking a risk did not make sense. Although he had a full-time job as a physical therapist and making good money, he was unhappy and in a bit of disbelief. The career Michael aspired to left him unfulfilled within the first year. He focused his education to become a physical therapist, spent a ton of money to pursue this career and shortly after graduation found himself miserable. He knew he needed to make a change, and so he started looking at jobs outside of physical therapy. After an "all-nighter" with Carla, they decided to forget what made sense and pursue happiness on a new level. At first, FOUNDATIONperformance had Mike living the hustle yet wholly fulfilled. He was driving all over the state to see clients at their homes and doing what it took to give his dream the wings it needed to fly. Every entrepreneur can relate to this phase of building a business. Mike holds a high-level of expertise and experiential wisdom in the field of runner's health. He believes that staying healthy and on top of foundational balance in the body is the way to go. Michael is the creator of RUNstrong, a 55-minute circuit-style strength class aimed at creating better and less injured runners. He is a public speaker and educator for athletes and coaches across the country. He has stayed true to working with a population that inspires him to be better every day, and he created great success from not chasing the money over the years. We are grateful to bring such a wealth of knowledge to the YT community. Thank you for your support of the show. To say Tim’s knowledge of the Carrera runs deep is as great an understatement as saying an F1 car is merely quick. His knowledge of the rally, how to prepare the car, how to preserve the car over 7 days of racing, and what it takes to win it goes deeper than deep. He also talks about the necessity for the new Levi’s Stadium and how this may be a game changer for the city. There’s all of that and more as Travel Today with Peter Greenberg comes from the Fairmont San Jose in San Jose, California.
