SHOW NOTES:   In Podcast Episode 318, “But God, My Way Would Be Better,” Kim discusses the human tendency to question how God does things and the temptation to believe we could do better if the decisions were up to us. Naaman, the commander of the Aramean army, was not pleased with how God's prophet Elisha addressed his request to be healed. He thought it would be handled a certain way, and when it wasn't, he was angry. SHOW NOTES:   In Podcast Episode 307, “Choose Your Allies Wisely,” Kim discusses the dangers of making alliances without consulting with and blessing of the Lord. We saw this played out as King Jehoshaphat made peace with King Ahab, one of the most evil rulers of all time, and then had a business alliance with King Ahaziah, who followed in the wicked footsteps of Ahab and Jezebel. SHOW NOTES:   In Podcast Episode 303, “Act in Fear of the Lord, with Faithfulness and an Undivided Heart,” Kim discusses King Jehoshaphat's instructions to the judges who would deal with matters of faith and how those same instructions can challenge each of us. We should also be challenged by a king's commitment to seeking God and encouraging the people to do the same. A Fire Wife is essentially the keeper of the castle. Although she is married to a Firefighter she also has married into the fire service. I wanted to pay tribute to the wives for all they do for their respective families 24/7/365 when there spouse is away that may sometimes go unnoticed or unrecognized. From caring of the kids, making sure meals are prepared, completing various day to day activities, management of the household & sometimes having to perform dual roles. The wife of a Firefighter plays a key component to the stability of families across the nation. Today's guests are Kim Smith, Courtney Wick, Hannah Howes and Kimberly Beauvais. All the women mentioned are married to Firefighters who work from small urban/ suburban municipalities to large metropolitan organization.
