This episode is a direct call-out to church leaders & church members everywhere... WE CANNOT let culture influence our teachings! Christians should be the ones upholding the truth about the sanctity of life, as well as supporting those who are facing crisis pregnancies. Christians are taught to live based on the belief that all humans are imperfect & have flaws and therefore will sin. So, despite what struggle a person might be facing or what decision led them there, our job is the same. We are to love & support others without judgment, in the most Christian-like way possible. Both condemning those who are in need of help, or letting the ways of this world influence the original teachings our faith was founded on... will not solve the issue of abortion. It will make it worse.
ParablesThe Good SamaritanLuke 10:29-37Until we recognize Jesus as our Good Samaritan, we will not understand how to be one. This story is often used to teach ethics. "Help anyone in need" tends to be where we go with this. While that is a true statement, this story can often be summed up as a "change your behavior" story WITHOUT proper context.Jesus is directly addressing a religious leader who has no intentions of learning from Jesus. We know that he set out to "trap" Jesus. Jesus doesn't play into that. The religious man doesn't even know that his question AND his answer simply show he doesn't understand how God works in our lives. We do not EARN an inheritance. We CANNOT keep the law - the law shows us that we can't when we properly study it. "WHO is MY NEIGHBOR?" showed that all the man cared about was justifying himself.Jesus' telling the story of the good Samaritan was not just about being kind. It was a lesson in how religion cannot save us (nor does it want to - it only condemns). The man who was near dead on the road had no ability to save himself. He was completely dependent upon the help from a stranger. And the fact that Jesus closes out the story with saying that a "GOOD" Samaritan was the one who saved the day would have been so offensive. BUT, it was exactly the Gospel picture we all need. "While we were still his enemies, Christ died for us."This story isn't just about crossing boarders and extending a hand to your neighbor - which DOES IN FACT MEAN - ANYONE in NEED (in this case, even the non-Jewish & non-well behaved good Jewish people for that matter). It is about the GREATEST BOUNDARY CROSSING. It's about the greatest need being met (our being left for dead in our sin now rescued, carried, and brought to safety). Sure, should we aim to go and do what Jesus said, in "being the one who showed mercy," yes. But don't be too quick to put yourself in the story as the one who does the good... what if we need to first be the one who realizes the good done to us?
In the late evening hours of May 8, 2002, the lives of three young mothers, Brandy Vickers, Michelle Aucoin, and Jennifer Leger were tragically cut short in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. The husband of one of the victims confessed to the triple murder, but what seemed to be a straight-forward case got complicated when it was discovered that the two other victims had one person in common. Now, in 2021, the convicted murderer, Kenneth Vickers, Jr., is requesting clemency in the form of a commutation of his sentence through the Louisiana Parole and Pardons Board on Monday, April 12, 2021. We CANNOT let this happen. Email the LA Pardon Board at ParoleBoard@la.gov and make sure you tell them why Kenneth Vickers, Jr., should not have his sentence commuted. Please ensure you include the offender’s name, Kenneth Vickers, Jr., and DOC number, DOC #376309 your name and a statement. All responses must be received by the parole board by 5 pm, Sunday, April 11, 2021. Any public comment received will be read during the meeting, so let’s flood the Parole Board and let them know that Kenneth Vickers, Jr. is exactly where he belongs and he should stay there for the rest of his natural born life!! Here is a link to the Pardon Board docket/agenda which includes the Zoom meeting ID as well as the link to watch the proceedings live via YouTube on Monday, April 12, 2021, at 8:30 am. https://s32082.pcdn.co/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/APRIL-12-Notice_Agenda_Docket_ZOOM-VERSION-FOR-WEBSITE-1.pdf?fbclid=IwAR2xs7WYymL8iYi2VBFXU3Md-jZGwSZdNg76gtzzZhpWWukDwYtZRmrrprU --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/homicidehomegirls/support

Join Bards Logic in our commentary and analysis of what may be one of the most consequential Vice Presidential debates in America's history. We have pre-debate discussion with live feed from the debate, then our commentary. The Vice Presidential candidates you hear on this episode may be closer to becoming the President than any other Vice President in generations. The differences between what a Pence and Harris administration cannot be any more stark. The Democrats, along with their propaganda arm "media", have proven they choose fear over bravery. When President Trump stated we should not allow us to be dominated by the (Wuhan) Coronavirus, the Democrats and sychophantic media reacted with disdain. President Trump offers America optimism over pessimism, bravery over cowardess, America's great days ahead of us. The Democrats offer doom, fear, and America's decline. The election is only weeks away. Will the American people allow the Democrats with their hatred of President Trump and law abiding citizens to be rewarded with more power? Will the American people reward the Democrats with seats in our government when they believe we are a racist nation? Will we allow the Democrats and the "media" to fundamentally transform America by making us no longer the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave? THIS is what is at stake for America and her People. A victory for the Democrats is a victory for the "media". A media that has fomented hate not only for our President, but for America itself. We CANNOT allow them to have the power to lie inconsequentially to We the American People. The consequences to the Democrats' and "media's" lies and hate spreading MUST be a political defeat on November 3rd. Our Replublic needs YOU. Bards Logic is the Grassroots, We the People show.

The 'perfect storm' is brewing and the 4th wave of the pandemic is coming. The wave of the indefinite - interwoven components of food insecurity that are threatening us like attributes of a catastrophic storm. This Sunday, join Dr. Phil Knight and Gerry Brisson the President & CEO of Gleaners Community Food Bank on Food First Michigan as they discuss the heavy weight of the 4th wave of the pandemic. They share how it will affect the Michigan food bank network, the National School Lunch Program and how U.S. Department of Agriculture is choosing to DECLINE waivers proposed by Senator Debbie Stabenow and State Superintendent Dr. Rice, allowing food banks to participate in the programs and make sure families are food secure during COVID-19. It is common knowledge that a compromised immune system is one of the worst things to have during a global pandemic such as this, and having access to healthy and nutritious food is a CRITICAL component of keeping immune systems healthy. We CANNOT treat the coming storm of food insecurity like it's bad weather. We need more than alerts. We need more than wishful thinking. We NEED the truth!

Episode 11....Wow! We are immersed by such INTENSE ENERGY right now on our planet, and in our Country. None of the current issues of Racism, Violence, Slavery, Division are new, they have been going on for centuries, the difference is that NOW they are being seen and felt on the surface. The deep wounding that is being exposed can no longer being hidden in the shadows. The Triangle of Disempowerment is in full activation between Victim, Perpetrator, and Rescuer and the energetics and pain are on the surface and swirling around creating CHAOS, CONFUSION, MOVEMENT, AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHANGE. So, now what? What can we do in such an overwhelming time? We would like to offer that the answers are WITHIN each of us, through our own personal work of healing. What if our experience in the current paradigm is IN SERVICE to showing each of us where our individual wounding is and how we can start our process of INVOLUTION, going inward to witness what is asking to be seen, heard, and healed? And from the inner work, we can engage in a process of EVOLUTION to a new paradigm. If we continue to go outside of ourselves and engage in BLAME, SHAME, VIOLENCE, DIVISION, we will continue to feed the program of SLAVERY, RACISM, VIOLENCE, and DISEMPOWERMENT. We CANNOT expect to have RADICAL CHANGE by feeding the collective with the same energies that have been so damaging to ALL OF US. The world doesn't need more of the low level frequencies we've been swimming in. What we need is RADICAL UNITY which only comes through the INNER work of HEALING and INTEGRATION so that we may come together and start having a conversation from a place of WHOLENESS rather than from WOUNDING, that is IN SERVICE to the COLLECTIVE.Our ask today is, "How can we see all sides of the narrative, and how much of inner wounding is controlling our individual narrative and how much are we allowing our narrative to be controlled?" Take a deep breath, feel into your body, and be so brave. REFERENCES: The Great Human Potential: Walking in One's Own Light. It's time to step the hell up! This week I am ON FIRE and pissed about those of us business owners who are tip toeing and not taking a stand on the ill treatment of others. We CANNOT heal this planet until we work on healing ourselves and each other. Hello everybody, and welcome in to day #8 of Shelter in place for those of us in Central California. I should have marked a week yesterday, but hours sort of bleed into days now, and days bleed into weeks. Things are surreal here, but Heaven is NOT shook. The King is on His Throne and Jesus is at the right hand of the Father ever living to intercede for His people. Let us be praying to Him for repentance, forgiveness, and healing of our land as we face this plague - He is FAITHFUL! Today's readings include Exodus 38, Proverbs 14, John 17, and Philippians 1. John 17 is our focus passage today, as we look at the longest prayer of Jesus recorded in the entire Bible. I'm not going to make you wait very long to see what Jesus prayed THREE times for when praying to His Father for Christians that would come after His ascension - let's read the passage, and find out! 20 “I pray not only for these, but also for those who believe in me through their word. 21 May they all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us, so that the world may believe you sent me. 22 I have given them the glory you have given me, so that they may be one as we are one. 23 I am in them and you are in me, so that they may be made completely one, that the world may know you have sent me and have loved them as you have loved me. John 17:20-23 Did you catch it? Three times He prayed that His followers would be ONE - not just any type of oneness either. Review those verses - Jesus was praying that His future followers - US! - would have the same oneness with each other, as Jesus and the Father have. In other words, COMPLETELY ONE! This is an incredible prayer, and, I think a tremendous tragedy that Christians do not take this call to unity more seriously. Far too often, Christians are ready to separate from each other for various doctrinal, personal injury, or personal belief issues. The net result of this is incredible division in the church - tens of thousands of denominations - and an incredible confusion of our message of the Gospel to the World. As Jesus notes, when Christians are in unity with each other - experiencing the oneness that is shared by the Holy Trinity - then the world BELIEVES that the Father sent Jesus. I don't think it is a leap in logic at all to affirm the converse of that statement - that the people of the world have no idea what to believe when Christians are not in unity. 35 years ago, the comedian Emo Philips wrote a joke that was voted as the funniest joke in religion. I actually think it is more sad, than funny, but I will read it to you (without endorsing Emo, because I am unfamiliar with most of his comedy) because I find the joke very insightful: Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!" Northern Conservative†Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over. https://www.theguardian.com/stage/2005/sep/29/comedy.religion I believe that many outside of Christianity view the church in this sort of way - there are so many splinters in christendom that they either laugh, or dismiss us, or don't know who to turn to for big questions and help during a crisis. Our disunity disrupts our message, and that is sad, and a deadly danger to the church. I have seen deep, deep Christian brothers and sisters separate over issues that don't involve major sin, or compromise, or even a disagreement over major doctrines, but over far more minor and disputed issues. Every time I see it, it grieves me, because that is NOT at all what Jesus prayed for in His people, and I'm not always sure how we can justify separation from other believers over such things when Jesus clearly seems to be praying for the opposite. It's not just the Church (big 'C' I am very blessed to experience remarkable unity in the last two churches I've served in, really the last three) I'm concerned about either. Consider this striking teaching of Jesus in the context of what is going on right now in the United States of America (or the United Kingdom...or your country, if it is very divided): 25 Knowing their thoughts, he told them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is headed for destruction, and no city or house divided against itself will stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? Matthew 12:25-32 I very rarely discuss politics on this podcast, and just as rarely discuss it in a church setting. Not because I believe the Constitution silences preachers - that is NOT at all what Thomas Jefferson intended with separation of Church and State (please read what HE actually wrote about it), but because I find politics to be deeply divisive, and I honestly try to avoid that which is divisive in the Body of Christ. But if you will suffer the tiniest bit of political commentary, I'm going to give it now: The United States - and many countries around the world - are facing the gravest crisis we've seen since World War 2. (I suppose if the Cuban Missile Crisis had led to Nuclear war, we could include that in the discussion too!) Consider what Jesus said in light of the U.S. Our country is the most divided and polarized that it has ever been in my lifetime. It is sickening, and it is alarming, and before you start pointing fingers, allow me to say that there is NOBODY out there right now in all of the political arenas that can pick up stones and throw them. EVERY politician I am aware of - at least on the national level - seems to be fueling the fires of division and attack, rather than seeking to bring about the kind of unity that is required to save the nation. There may be some exceptions, I just don't know them. Jesus says that a house divided cannot and will not be able to stand. Divided kingdoms are headed for DESTRUCTION. I'm not pointing fingers at our president, or our previous president, or your prime minister, or what have you. There are massive amounts of blame out there, and it seems like millions of Americans on both sides of the aisle (and even libertarians and non-partisans in the middle) seem to delight in attacking, criticizing, snarling, snarking, arguing, judging and prognosticating doom. I worry more about what this toxic atmosphere will do to our countries than I worry what Covid19 will do to us. We CANNOT stand against this threat divided and hating each other. Some of you are massive partisans - meaning you root with all of your heart for your party and will all of your heart against the other party. The problem is - the other party - no matter which one it is - represents almost half of Americans. You can't hate them and despise them without risking the destruction of the whole enterprise. Imagine that your words - spoken or written - are like bullets, and you are on a floating raft on the ocean. Every time you let loose a vehement attack, a hateful insult, or an angry criticism, you fire a bullet. Maybe that bullet strikes its target, and somebody on board the boat is wounded, or worse. Maybe that bullet lodges into the raft itself, and the whole thing that is keeping you afloat is threatened. Our liferaft can't take bullet after bullet. How do I know this?? Because Jesus said a kingdom divided against itself WILL BE DESTROYED, and I believe Him. So - lay down your guns. I'm not saying you have to agree with the other side. I'm not saying you have to call evil good, or anything like that. I am saying this: 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. Galatians 5:14-15 That passage, and Jesus' house divided speech don't just apply to the church. They apply to marriages, friendships, small groups, large groups, workplaces, and yes, countries and cities and governments. Our greatest danger in the good old U.S.A. right now is not Covid19 - as bad as it is! Our greatest danger is that we seem to be expressing far more hate for our neighbor than love for our neighbor. Let's close with these anointed Words of God that, hopefully, might be sufficient to point us in a better direction: 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:2-3 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians 2:1-4 5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6 so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6 11 Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. 2nd Corinthians 13:11 10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 1 Corinthians 1:10 8 Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:8=9 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. Romans 12:16 Christ would have all his people joined in communion with himself, and with his Father; and when that is the case, then will men know that Christ came into the world for a definite purpose: “that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” C. H. Spurgeon, “‘I Will;’ Yet, ‘Not as I Will,’” in The Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit Sermons, vol. 40 (London: Passmore & Alabaster, 1894), 419.

Lars is the lead singer of Yam Haus, a pop-rock band based in Minneapolis, MN. We catch back up with Lars and reflect on the time it's been since we discovered him and his amazing band over a year ago. Through this time we've had Yam Haus play a concert in our backyard for Halloween and they were the headline performance at Boatchella this summer. We caught Lars at the perfect time as Yam Haus just recently SOLD OUT First Avenue as the headline act in December. Overall, this was a phenomenal podcast and conversation with a guy looking to connect with the people he can touch. We CANNOT wait until these guys blow up. They are performing with O.A.R. November 8th @ The Myth. Get your tickets NOW! *Disclaimer: originally S3 E34 - Welcome to the Thrill (feat. Lawrence Pruitt)*
We CANNOT emphasize this enough! You've heard the phrase, "Speed Kills." But in chiropractic, it's all about "Speed Drills." Practice Excellence. "Relax. Relax. HIT IT!" SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!
This Commentary Podcast is in response to some listeners who responded to our Easter podcast and blog protesting the "comparison" (their word" of Tiger Woods to Jesus. Actually they made the comments without/before listening or reading the blog. However we stand convinced that for such as Tiger Woods and us, Jesus came, was crucified, died and rose. We strongly believe that WE CANNOT reach people we don't like and we Can't like people we won't reach out to. LOVE CONQUERS ALL
Rob Harlamert and John Kelley discuss this week's main thing: "We Cannot do the work of the Kingdom if we aren’t connected to the King." How do we become more disciplined as believers?

Camp Code - Leadership & Staff Training Podcast for Camp Directors - CampHacker.TV
We CANNOT stress enough the importance of well-thought out, well-planned, and exceptionally intentional leadership training. As camping professionals, we need to think through every minute of every day of training and use each one to our advantage - whether it’s making the most of a learning session, a time of community building or ensuring our staff is well-rested and ready to go when the campers finally arrive. As always, we want to be intentional with everything we do. A Best Practice for Leadership Training:It is vitally important to learn the names of your staff. It is an important step in making your staff, especially new ones, feel like they are appreciated and being cared for. Do whatever you have to do to learn their names ahead of time: create a cheat sheet, study your staff bios, practice with other staff. Repetition is the key. Be sure to introduce your staff in engaging and personal ways.
