Welcome to the Garden of Doom, where some things grow and others not so much. This is an exploration of our world; the hidden world beneath; and the world beyond. Your hosts, Sha & Jeff will explore current events, pop culture, cryptozoology; Theo-mythology; alien encounters; the historÃes of mankind; and the occasional Irish whip into wrestling; and more. So join us, every epic has its beginning.
Ikuro Kwon & I are joined by Joseph J. Alexander. Joseph has done a lot in wrestling, but it's his non wrestling activities and experiences that we focused on. Like ghost stories. Like being a totem for the dead. Like the haunting of Arena Mexico. The Warrens of "The Conjuring" fame make the show as well.We also discuss paganism and certain mythologies, philosophies and esoterica. You don't want to miss this conversation.
Is there esoteric symbolism behind some of our most cherished stories? You bet there is! Once you start, it might be hard to stop but I went through the looking glass and followed the yellow brick road to start on this search. Yes, we're exploring the esoteric aspects of Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz. In this, we touch on some minor topics like the role of institutions, systems, self and God. Small stuff. We also examine the Persephone archetype and whether it apples. What's a psycho pomp? who's "we"? I'm glad you asked. My esoteric dream tag team of the National Wrestling Alliance's Aron Stephens (FKA Damien Sandow, Aron Rex, et al) and the Reverend Doctor (going on three doctoriates) David Parry. Bring your third eyes, pineal glands and thinking caps today. We go deep. Like even the 4 cardinal directions are part of this. How could they not be?
As any long time listener knows, I've been looking for a Marine Biologist to talk to. Well, the sea was angry that day, my friends, because I found my white whale. Alan Moore is a marine biologist and the President and Director of two accredited Marine Biology programs in Western Florida. They specialize is sharks and rays. So, of course we talked about sharks and rays. We also talk about - queue heroic music - octopusses!. Also, whales, porpoises, dolphins, seals, and lots of other animals great and small. So, don't be an old man trying to return soup at a deli. Pull out that Teistelist. It's to time to enjoy a deep dive.Epilogue: This guest revealed to me some days after the recording that he was not a Marine BIologist. He assured me he had the other requisite certifications and did run the school. He asked me not to air the show as he felt he didn't do well. I listened back and thought he was fine. But I agreed not to air the show contingent upon us re-recording limited primarily to sharks, rays and the school AND he'd send over some actual marine biologists. Neither contingency happened. I thought nothing of it until I saw him seeking guest spots on podcasts again. Judge for yourself.

We get a little swampy as the Garden is invaded by The Bayou Geeks! What makes them Bayou? What makes them geeks? What do we talk about? E V E R Y T H I N G. Conspiracies,a little sports, a top 5 list of best movie and sequel, a little spooky stuff. We talk a bunch about New Orleans and get a little real with stuff going on in the real world. This episode probably is a lot closer to the first months of this show; which I drrifted away from rather unintentionally, and surprisingly. Nevertheless, we're going to do stuff like this more often. I think.
Archeologist Ed Barnhart of MayaExploration.org, among other places, rejoins us to discuss Easter Island. But before that, we discuss his theory on how certain megalithic blocks were fused together. You won't want to miss that. But the main event is Easter Island. We start with it's modern history since Western "discovery". What are the orginial settlement theories? What do the indiginous themselves say? What does the archeology say? We go into their likely societal structures, certain times of disruption, the myths about trees, just who are those giant head statues of? We talk some about mythology and concepts like "the navel of the world". Your host offers some un-vetted theories on many areas he is not qualified to theorize upon. But that's just how I do.Basically, everything you want to know about Easter Island plus more in about 90 minutes.

The origins of modern man is a bush, not a tree, and it spans somewhere between 5 to 7 million years. From some common ancestor, chimpanzees and what would become us split. To help us explore this bush, we enlisted Archeologist/Anthropologist, Professor John Hoopes. What's an Australopithecus v a Homo? Who's Lucy? Were Neatherthals giants or Judd Hirsh or neither? Were Denisovans giants or Elves or Al Leong or none? Are Humanoid reptilians possible on Earth? Are Paracus skulls a different species? All these questions and SEVEN MILLION YEARS covered.P.S. since the time of this recording, a new australopithecus variant that lived after Lucy has been identified!
Sheri Hoidra, Esquire, visits us for the second time to discuss the current status of immigration law since last we spoke a few weeks into the Trump Presidency. Unfortunately, we have learned that the landscape is still full of landmines, quicksand, and other booby traps. We have a wide ranging conversation where we frequently trade rants. There was a segment where her email would not load. The statistics she was seeking are the following:New immigration cases recorded so far in 2025 - 431,343. 735,327 cases completed in 2025.Of those, only 1.49% of immigration cases were based on alleged criminal activity. The current immigration case backlog is 3,461,637. Of these, 2,209,097 of these cases are immigrants awaiting asylum hearings.360,459 deportations have been ordered this year, which includes 50.5% 0f those being voluntary deportations.45,902 were Judge Ordered Removals. Almost 78,000 were permitted to remain in the US by Judges. Only 21.6% of represented persons were put into Removal status.
George John Haas is the author of 3 books and a forthcoming scientific paper. The books are "The Cydonia Codex", "The Martian Codex", and his newest "The Great Architects of Mars". Haas was an artist by trade and tells his story of how he fell into the study of Mars and it's anamolous features. Humans have been photographing Mars since the 1970's and as technology and resolution improves, so do the questions increase.Haas and his team has taken an interdisciplinary approach into the study. This includes geologists, veterinarians and former government physicists. The anamolies studied and addressed include the famous face of Mars, the Martian pyraminds, the keyhole structure, and an anatomically matched (to 27 points) parrot structure. The face is half feline, half simeon. The parrot matches a maccaw. Both related to Mezoamerican mythologies tied to creation myths and a parrot that stole the sun, only to be rescued by the hero twin hunters. The Martian Maccaw also has a dart or arrow aspect consistent with the myth of the creature's demise. You aren't going to want to miss this conversation.thecydoniainstitute@hotmail.com
We welcome in Bronze Star recipient Leo Fox, who you might know from OVW, NWA and CYN. He's a man with a very interesting story of struggles and recoveries. Now he's living his dream, wrestling full time, with a wife and new child. Of course we also talk nonsense. Which leads me to tell my paranormal experience. I hate when they reverse the tables on me. Lol.
Gordon Adams is a graduate of Columbia University and worked in the national security sector including serving at the Undersecretary level, reporting to Leon Panetta, during the Clinton administration. Adams also worked with Think Tanks and authored numerous pieces in this space. We had a wide ranging discussion touching on everything from the "Deep State" to human trafficking to Project 2025. I can't do justice to the breadth and depth by summary. I felt this episode merited consecutive publishing after Prof. DeGennaro's most recent appearance; as they are complimentary shows. However, this show was far more focused on domestic US matters and less on the military conflicts abroad. However, there is no way to disentangle past martial actions and the current climate,Adams currently is known as Abby Ross and when not involved in Theater, writes a policy based SubStack.
Professor Patricia DeGennaro returns once again between assignments and projects to discuss the state of the world. What's going on domestically (US)? what's going on around the world? How the two are related? I can't give a decent summary. You just have to listen.
Bernie Taylor is back and this time we're tackling Homer. Specifically, the more monstruous and magical aspects of his famous journey home from Troy. We're covering the Oddysey. But paying specific attention to the monsters and some of what all of that might represent.
Essay 1 is the first of what may become a more regular feature: me doing a solo show, talking about something I've thought a lot about but never decided upon the right way or place to present it. While most GoT shows are apolitical, that's not entirely the case. My politics and those of guests, come through at times. I consider myself a Centrist. That doesn't mean I'm in the Center of every issue. I might be extremely Conservative about many and pretty Progressive or Liberal about others. But for many issues, I recognize they are complex and no one ideology has answers. I believe most people fit in this spectrum. And within this spectrum, there is room for compromise to not have the perfect be the obstacle of the good, or just the better.I've been very up front about certain issues. It's no secret how pro-Ukraine I am in supporting it's struggle against Russia. This essay addresses one of the lies that has subsided but will likely rear it's head again: the myth that we would spend these billions at home on mental health and homelessness. The figure I recall being bandied about was 50 billion dollars. So, that is what I fixated on.What did elements of both Left and Right say? What are my thoughts on their motives?More importantly, what would it take to cure homelessness in the United States? Assuming this is some permanent solution, would 50 billion dollars come close? We use math. Then we use common sense on some inconvenient realities like Not In My Backyard and the costs of infrastructure, treatment and ongoing expenses beyond just building a glorified internment camp in some imaginary unused/unowned hectary of land.Let's see how I do. Let's see what I left out. Let's find out if you like this content.
When we ask C The Superior to present on a topic as our apprentice host, she always brings the research. She takes me through some of the premier Anime properties and their relationship to mythologies. Primarily Shintoism. But Taoism and Chinese myths are visited. Especially when we talk about how Goku and Dragonball Z is The Monkey King and Journey to the East!Along the way, there are the usual diversions and meanderings. Including a restatement on kung fu witches built like Baywatch in school girl uniforms. Do we find other mythological parallels? Why is Schrodinger referenced and what does this have to do with Pinocchio or Anime?
We meet Vicious Vicki Venuto. She's a Jersey Girl. A Jersey Shore girl to be precise. And she'll kick your teeth in if you don't like it. Our own Mr. Thomas was a Jersey Shore guy because of course he was. They share tales and stereotypes. We explore the Lubabu(?) craze. We talk food. We always talk food. Did she have any supernatural experiences or beliefs? Turns out everyone does. What's the New Jersey Devil? Why is the University of New Jersey known by a different name? Jets or Giants or are both colonizers? All this and some wrestling related content.
John Michael Godier is a scientist and an avid follower in the UFO phenomena. He hosts the Event Horizon podcast and has a huge YouTube channer of the same name. He's also the author of two science fiction novels. He's spoken to everyone even remotely in field from Professor Avi Loeb to the disclosure skeptics and advocates. We discuss many of the recent stories including the disclosure efforts from certain nations, our interstellar visitors, the Ferme paradox, etc. We also visit some issues that aren't well reported as they occurred in the Soviet Union during the Cold War. I want to thank our mutual friend, Kristaps, for helping to put this together. If you'd like to support his work and The Eastern Border show, he has authentic Soviet era war plan maps recently found in a Latvian warehouse. Prices are reasonable and these are one of a kind authentic pieces of history. Please email Kris at theeasternborder@gmail.com.
Brian Townsend was in law enforcement for approximately three decades; primarily with the United States Drug Enforcement Agency. Since retired, he's involved with a 501C3 non profit educating and reaching regarding the extraordinary dangers of fetanyl. We discuss his upbringing and professional career. He explains the remit of the DEA and we explore how the DEA works in other countries, the chain of command, and separates fact from fiction. Jeffzikastan plays a large role. International law and law enforcemant is discussed. No one knows exactly what Interpol is. How do Ambassadors fit in? Are different Warrants handled differently? What standard of law must be applied?Brian is very frank in his answers and we had a lot of fun. But pay close attention to the portions dedicated to his cause and the non profit organization. It's important work. The statistics are staggering. And they need your support.

We're joined by Alex Kane just days after he became a free agent. So, we do talk about intra-wrestling business items related to that status. How it feel? How does a talent approach free agency? Being Thomas' stable mate for years, they have a lot of chatting to do. Bomaye remains for the people. What makes a top guy? Is being once ranked the 25th best wrestler in the world count? Does being a former champion of a major promotion increase one's value? How does one fix their rates or is it more reactive? We discuss these items and more.We also chat about non wrestling topics. From nonsense to political theory (Kane is a political thinker), We also tackle Tip Culture and GoFundMes.

Justin Tepe is an attorney practicing in Maryland and DC and handles a lot of business clients in the business of cannibis. We discuss the law, the policies and some of the issues. I'm confused and concerned about what's going on with immigration law and practice. Also, what's not going on: Due Process in a lot of cases. And I'm a lawyer, but not an immigration lawyer. So, I found one willing to talk. Sheri Hodra is the child of immigrants and is a zealous advocate for her client's rights. And she's flustered too.Yet she seems pretty cool, calm and collected. Most of my episodes are evergreen, but not all. Perhaps this one is. Perhaps not. The history we're making will tell the tale. This is an immigration attorney's efforts to answer my questions and provide some status of what's going on in legal forums around America. And the effort to keep up with the explosive nature of the shotgun attack on immigrants; legal and illegal.
The Garden welcomes back Professor Richard Spence to continue in our "academic" exploration of the occult. This episode focuses on some of the better known names in Occultism over the past 200 years or so. We learn about Helena BLavatsky, Rudolph Steiner, Aleiter Crowley, Anton LaVay, among others. From the elite homes of Tsarist Russia to Marin County, California, we visit upon the truth, fiction, legend and what's in between. What's Theosophy? What's Anthrosophy? Is there a difference between of Satanist and a Luciferian? Don't be afriad, this is academic. Mostly.

Jay Holland has a national practice focusing on employment law. Along with better known areas such as civil rights, he practices in a niche area involving certain types of whistleblowers in what are known as Qui Tam cases. Qui Tam is not a martial art. Qui Tam allows a private individual to prosecute a case on behalf of the government, with incentives, when that individual(s) is/are blowing the whistle on fraud against the government. If I ever knew this existed, I long forgot it until I spoke to Holland. Jay shares with us the history of these laws and several war stories. I ask questions and pose hypotheticals. Some of which were actually useful to the conversation. In an era where a lot of people talk about fraud prevention and abatement, this is a timely exploration.

Professor Michael York rejoins us to discuss the day Wednesday. Sort of. Wednesday is Woden's Day. Odin. But Wednesday is also Miercoles. Mercury. Who is often considered Hermes, who is usually associated with Hermod in the Norse panoply. Or is he? Where does Lucifer come in? Does he? Despite me making this mistake numerous times, it's Venus - not Mercury - that is the "morning star". How about Abraxus? Who? Well, you'll find out.Wednesday spilled into some confusion regarding Saturday, but the answer was recollected post production and is below. Mars became Tyr (Tuesday), Mercury became Odin (Wednesday), Jupiter became Thor (Thursday) and Venus became Frigg (Friday). Saturday came outside the system: The Norse form 'Saturday' means 'hot water day' - which can be translated as 'washing day' or 'washing water day'.It was originally the day that Norsemen took their baths.
Robert Emery was a child prodigy. He could replay whatever music he heard on the piano without any formal training. His parents knew they had a gifted child and the rest is history. Emery also isn't promoting anything other than classical music. He wants people to listen to classical music and embrace it as evergreen "cool". My quotes, not his. He tells his story from a personal level. While I explore the legal and business aspects in a parallel fashion. We discuss items like did he have helicopter parents; when and how did he acquire an agent; how do music industry artists make money; intellectual property; why did he chose to become a conductor over a concert pianist. Tune in so you can be tuned in.
