Honest conversations about womanhood, wellness, self-growth, & relationships. Amanda encourages others to live their most genuine lives by doing what they love without fear and taking better care of themselves — even if that means treating yourself to overpriced oat milk lattes & acupuncture followed by a disney movie marathon #noshame.

ok — you guys have been asking for lucas + I to hop back on the mic together for SO long. I want to say the last episode we put out for accidental parents (a podcast we started in 2022) was literally 9 months ago. and since then, life has felt so chaotic. we spent the last two months of 2022 in FL visiting family (and escaping the cold) and to be honest, this winter was really rough for us when we got back. not necessarily in our relationship — but more so in our life. keeping up with career and social life and the kids and having fun and the house — it's just been a lot. in this episode, lucas and I chat about how we sense that there is going to be a lot change on the horizon for us. change that feels scary, but also really liberating. and lucas also opens up a lot more than ever about where he's been mentally and it's just a really raw conversation. we love you + hope you find it relatable
as a mindset & wellness coach, one of the tools that I use to better understand my clients and help them learn more about themselves is human design. not only will it tell you about your strengths, traits, & personality, but it will also help you understand how you make decisions best, how you energetically interact with the world, and how the world interacts with your unique energy make up. human design is a tool that will give you the confidence to live in alignment with your most authentic and natural expression of self, and it can be used to optimize so many areas of your life (i.e. career, relationships, creativity, work structure, manifestation, decision making, environment & more.) in this episode, i'm bringing in my best friend from literal 8th grade, Abby Bradley so that I can show you guys what it's like to have me read your chart and what human design can actually tell you about yourself. to schedule your own reading with me, find a time here: https://calendly.com/amandafowlercoaching/human-design-session?month=2023-06 to connect with abby + nova social, follow her on IG here: @novasocialco follow me on IG: https://www.instagram.com/justmands/ learn more: https://www.amanda-fowler.com/

georgia vannewkirk is a singer + songwriter, creative director, costume designer, photographer, & videographer — basically she is the definition of an artist. georgia and I met at SCAD our freshman year & I was thrilled to finally have her on the show because she is someone I admire SO fucking much. she's a go getter. she's talented. and she's so passionate about her vision. in this episode we talk about art school how she worked on the set of outerbanks releasing music for fun and getting signed by a label her process of writing music finding like-minded community in your twenties what its like living in LA body image + her wellness journey of gaining a rapid amount of weight studying abroad and how she balanced her body/health afterward but why I love this episode — she's a fucking go getter. she's connected to her dreams + she's pursuing them. and she's giving you guys incredible tips on how you can stand out, get your foot in the door and pursue yours, too. listen to georgia's music here and follow her on instagram. let me know how you liked this episode with a rating + review! hi friends. this one is straight from the heart + soul + whirlwind of an experience I had celebrating my dear friend Emma's (@realwithemma) bachelorette party. my whole life i've identified with the notion of being a "guys girl." but I realized that wasn't my truth, it was a product of my experiences & lots of conditioning. if you relate to that sentiment then give this episode a listen. I don't know why I thought I could stay away from a podcast because if you should know anything about me, it's that I like to talk. Listen, I've pivoted & trial + errored & failed & picked myself back up and it was hard. It wasn't comfortable or fun or encouraging. But what I realized after taking a few weeks off of socials is that the reason I was feeling discouraged the most is because I was running away from my truth — and my truth is podcasting, coaching, & connecting. So here we are. Similar message, different look. Cultivating Connection with Amanda Fowler is a podcast chatting all things womanhood, wellness, & self connection. You can expect new episodes every Monday where I'll share my soul's truth & what I learn throughout my self-discovery journey, and also hear conversations with other inspiring, fulfilled, & impactful women. Mands off her rocker? Possibly. But I'm enrolled in Dharma Coaching Institute which was founded by Sahara Rose, and the other day she said, "confusion means that you are evaluating your different options and your wheels are turning." And that resonated / made me feel a lot better. This is the episode. It's wild how many synchronicities happen in life when you're living in alignment. Something I had expressed to a friend a week before being approached with the opportunity to interview Megan & Nicole, I was talking about wanting to learn more about plant medicine. Enter: Megan & Nicole Smith. Sisters & founders of Zenchronicity, a microdose mentorship program that supports healing through psilocybin. Megan is also a certified holistic nutritionist, health coach, and both are trauma-informed yoga teachers and experts in psychedelic medicine. They are also precious stone jewelry makers, crystal experts and Megan is a gifted astrologer. In this episode we talk psilocybin, the ego, cancel culture, hook up culture, programming through devices, masculine and feminine energies, microdosing, & so much more. This was an incredibly enriching conversation and I feel like you're going to have your mind blown. Megan & Nicole have also been featured in Authority Magazine, Psychedelic Spotlight, Microdose.buzz, Best Life Online, The Daily Beast, and together they host the Zenchronicity Podcast. 38 weeks pregnant. I'm hoping by the time this podcast episode is out I've given birth or AT LEAST am in labor. Mama is tired & just wants to meet her baby. Since the only thing on my mind lately is labor — I figured it'd be fun to chat with you guys about what I've been doing differently this pregnancy vs my first to prep myself for the labor & delivery that I want, aka an unmedicated, natural VBAC. I'm also sharing what I've doing to naturally induce labor & get things going. As always — I'm not a doctor. So take what I'm saying with that in mind. JUST MANDS THE PODCAST HAS BEEN RESURRECTED… Welcome to seasons 2 of the podcast, friends. Things are going to be a bit different around here.
Yes, you read that right. This is the last episode of Just Mands The Podcast... for now. Season 1 is ending with Lucas & I sitting down with Melissa & Joey from the Songs For Your Sunday Podcast. These two are the cutest couple. You know when you leave a conversation just feeling so fulfilled and good? That was Lucas and I after recording with Melissa & Joey. They just GET IT. In the episode we chat about breaking up & getting back together, long distance, working together, work/life boundaries, pinterest tips, relationship advice, the importance of having meals together, and disconnecting to reconnect. We also play a fun trivia game at the end. Be sure to head over to their podcast to hear me chat with Mel about womanhood, motherhood, & confidence (and to check out their other episodes because they rock). AND STAY TUNED FOR JUNE. I want to thank all of you for tuning in weekly and because of you guys... I am going to be coming back better than ever with some REALLY cool shit. Like really cool. There are certain things you should never say to new moms, and if you're wondering what they are give this episode a listen. I truly feel like most people do not intend to make a new mom feel bad with their words. Some people just don't understand the context of their words and phrases. But that's why it's important to inform people what they shouldn't say, and what they can say instead. If you're a new mom and can relate to any of this, slide into my DM's and let me know. March is Women's History Month and as a woman with a platform, I felt really called to dedicate an entire episode of the podcast to learning more about women in history. In this episode, I bring on Melissa Herrera of Mimosa Sisterhood — a tipsy, story-telling podcast that celebrates the lives of women in history, as well as current history-making women — to share the stories of four incredible women throughout history that most of us probably didn't know existed. The four women she covers are: Juliette Gordon Low, Noor Inayat Khan, Nellie Bly, & Henrietta Lacks — and let me tell you, these women and their stories are mind-blowing, empowering, and even a bit insane. Give it a listen and check out Melissa's podcast to learn about more influential women in history. 50 episodes???!!!!???? What! It's so crazy to me that I started recording episodes for this passion project of mine this time last year, and now we're 50 episodes in. Lots has changed since episode 1, and since I have some new listeners here I thought, what better way to celebrate 50 episodes than with a Q+A so you guys can get to know your host a bit better! In this episode I have my boyfriend Lucas interview me with questions that YOU guys asked me on IG. We go into how Just Mands started, how I prepared for podcasting, what I like to do in my free time + what I do to self care, and I answer some of your juicy sex questions. Thank you all for listening to the podcast for 50 EPISODES. It means the world to me that you guys tune in, message me, and care about what I have to share. Living a "healthy" and "well" life in college is not always an easy feat. When I say "healthy" & "well" I'm not just talking about exercising & eating nutrient dense foods. I'm talking about your physical, emotional, occupational, and social wellbeing. I'm talking about feeling good and confident in all facets of your life in college. In this episode I share my college experience and journey of really "becoming well" in college, and answer your questions on body image, how to adopt eating habits that make you happy, dealing with procrastination, where to begin & how to start working out, how to cut down on party culture & change your lifestyle, and how to deal with FOMO in college. A few months ago I asked my followers on Instagram what they wanted to hear more of on the podcast. Someone recommended that I do an episode on navigating young motherhood and DAMN I am so happy she did. This episode is super conversational, maybe a bit rambly, but jam-packed with information and things that I really feel helped me during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. If you're currently pregnant or a new young mama don't hesitate to DM me with any questions or if you just need a friend! Today I sit down with Tori from The Retired Party Girl to talk all things sobriety, her journey with it, and unpack how our society views and uses alcohol. Tori started an online membership program aimed to empower and educate womxn about alcohol and "big alcohol" marketing culture. Her membership and Instagram account also act as a safe place for people to share their stories, fears, and accomplishments in sobriety. We also get into how alcohol plays a role in college & hookup culture, traveling sober with people who are drinking, and really dive into the stigmas surrounding sobriety and how it truly is a spectrum. Friends, if you haven't listened to Part 1 of my interview with Molly, go there first, and then come back to this one — it will give you a lot of context. In this episode, Molly shares her journey with mental health, how her diagnosis's changed over the years, finally accepting that she had Bipolar 2 (she gets into what the difference is between 1 & 2), how dating & her sex life were impacted by her mental health, navigating relationships with a mental health illness, and so much more. I am in awe of her transparency and think her story is so inspiring because it really illustrates the ups and downs, struggles and highs, confusions and moments of clarity that is mental health.
