When Your Spiritual and Energy Tools Aren't Working

In this week's episode, Gwen supports a highly sensitive being, Amy, with her intention to release something that is causing heaviness in physical body and anxiety in her emotional body. Amy also notices that other friends are feeling the same way that she is like they are on an energetic rollercoaster. This is a powerful episode because I have noticed this myself. In the episode, Amy shares that she suffered from autoimmune for 10 years but learned to heal her body and feel energetic again. However, there are times when the old symptoms come back, and it's typically related to picking up energy from her family or friend's trauma, fears, anxieties, stress, emotions that they haven't dealt with. This leaves her feeling dragged down, undisciplined, unmotivated, suppressed energy similar to the autoimmune symptoms. Amy has learned to clear the energy out with tools like working with the moon, self-forgiveness, smudging. The tools usually support her, but the energy is stuck this time. At times she can sometimes push through it, but she pays for it with even more exhaustion. Through guiding Amy to understand the purpose of this energy, we discover deeper misbeliefs and suffering that can be created from an unconscious, binary and punishing thinking of, “if I do this right, I'll be rewarded with more energy, and if I do this bad then I'll be punished with depleted energy”. By the end of the episode, Amy gets clear on why the energy is present and what she can do to support herself. In this episode we discuss: • How it feels to have autoimmune • The reality of being highly sensitive beings • How our binary or duality thinking can create suffering • Listening to the wisdom of our energies and bodies have for us • How to redefine the relationship we have with our rhythm of starting and stopping • When we connect and embody our worthiness, our energy shifts and expands If you would like to deepen into these practices, you can join the upcoming Moon Mastery in December 2021. When new opportunities arise, she freezes, doubts herself, and then distracts with other projects. Her tools of meditation, journaling, and inner reflection are not helping her move through blocks the way they once did. As we move through the episode, you'll hear me guide Jennifer through my process of attuning to the wisdom of the body, talking with the energy, connecting it to a younger self who felt the need to be perfect in order to be seen and loved. Through self-forgiveness, inner child healing, and bringing in her future higher self, Jennifer feels overwhelmed with a softening, fluidity, and love. In this episode we discuss: • What's at the core of perfectionism • Why we fall into patterns of imposter syndrome • Childhood experiences seek healing through current life • The maladaptive patterns from traumatic events and healthier ways of being with yourself After the recording, Gwen shared with Jennifer that at the beginning of the podcast she said a phrase, “I'll be found out”. This phrase carried a lot of past life energy of being a witch or healer or medicine woman when it was not safe and dangerous to be found out. It was at this point that Jennifer shared her profession and has been told by other healers that there are many layers to the fear she feels in this lifetime. Breathwork is a useful tool for the witch wound – women with fear of speaking up, speaking out, being seen, allowing their gifts to be fully expressed and seen, and clearing out past lives or generations of women that weren't safe. When Dr. Ellen was sick in med-school and residency she herself was given pills that caused more imbalance. She became disenchanted by the medical system that rarely asked “why” certain ailments came to be in the human body, and knew instinctively that the drug centric approach of modern medicine was not her calling…she came to her own realization that she could trust what she was naturally drawn to to find success and service to humanity. She says, makes you you is not a liability but rather is what you're here to uniquely offer. Dr. Ellen teaches us about how to navigate the hidden harms of modern life and how labeling ourselves through a diagnosis can be disempowering. Shift Entrepreneurial Failure into Success

Carla enters the podcast with the feeling like she's failed as an entrepreneur monetarily even though she's had success on the surface. She feels like she's been stuck and blocked in a pattern of working other jobs to make money and doing things that make her heart sing on the side. This is a common challenge many of us face as entrepreneurs. We do work that we don't love to make money, and do work we do love on the side, but fear of making money, or feel blocked in making money, or give away our gifts or services for free. Having a clear intention for everything we do, tells energy where to go, ranging from having a clear intention for the podcast conversation, to a directional intention for work that we do in the world. Carla realizes in the podcast that she has chosen entrepreneurial ideas that came from her mind versus heart. When her ideas came from her mind, she felt pressure and did not experience success. But when her ideas come from her heart - meaning she experienced a challenge, found a way through, and wanted to share and serve others - she feels free and ready. In this episode, we also discuss the energy of money. When money doesn't know what you want to do with it (meaning you are not coming from the heart, and you are not intentional, and taking action on the intention), money doesn't know what to do with you, and for you. In the podcast we clarify intention and money as an energy, as an exchange. Our vagueness, or our clarity, will bring the type of monetary exchange (vague or clear). Listen to how I coach Carla on the distinction between making money "off" our work and "through" sharing our work. Making money "off" our work creates pressure and heaviness. Making money "through" sharing our gifts and receiving exchange for those gifts creates flow and abundance. Old energy around money can be something that enters or we pick up from other people (like our parents or environments when we are younger) that we carry and it gets to a point where it no longer serves us. Oftentimes these energies get stuck, trapped, or go unconscious. In the podcast Carla brings consciousness to the old energy so she can channel all of her life force to that which she deeply desires to share through her work, creativity, gifts in the world. Carla realizes that she never gave a voice to the abuse she experienced as a child and that was part of the block. As she clears the old energy out, her voice opens, she claims abundance. Shortly after we recorded the podcast, Carla openly shared on Instagram about what she experienced and what she wanted to create. It is amazing to watch Carla thrive and expand. Listen to Carla free herself of the old idea of failing, being stuck, not being able to make money doing what she loves, into feeling free, feeling open, and receiving abundance. Topics we discuss in this episode: - How to move through feeling like a failure as an entrepreneur. - The trap that many feel around working a regular job for money while doing what you love on the side and making no money. - The different energy and success that happens when we create a business from the mind versus our heart. - The power of intention in business, conversations, healing, money success. - Shift from the idea that we "get" money into "exchange" with money as energy . - Understanding that our blocks are oftentimes energy that are not even ours. - How to free ourselves from blocks, and how giving a voice to past abuse or trauma frees us from being trapped by it in the present.
