This week Evan and Bill are joined by the folks from the Worker's Lit podcast to talk about the 2025 film "The Running Man," directed by Edgar Wright and starring Glen Powell, Colman Domingo, Emilia Jones, William H. Macy, Josh Brolin, and Michael Cera. With a special appearance by Lee Pace. This episode is part two of our collaboration with Worker's Lit covering a book and the movie based on it, in this case the Stephen King novel by the same name. During the episode we discuss how much more capably Wright and Powell portray class consciousness than King, note how the movie improved on the book, and remained loyal to it by having a less than satisfying ending.Check out the episode we did with Worker's Lit here!Guest LinksOfficial WebsiteWorker's Lit on InstagramWorker's Lit on YouTubeLeft of the Projector LinksOfficial WebsiteLeft of the Projector on InstagramLeft of the Projector on PatreonLeft of the Projector on ThreadlessHost LinksEvan's LetterboxdBill's InstagramBill's LetterboxdWard's InstagramWard's Letterboxd

If you're a Projector, this episode is your personalised 2026 forecast and part three of the 2026 "Future of Business" series. I'm taking the five business themes from Episode 2 (episode 305 of the All That Jazze Podcast) and the major astrological transits from Episode 1 (Episode 304) and translating them specifically for you as a Projector in business. What I hear from almost every Projector who comes to work with me is some version of: business feels so hard as a Projector. And I get it - when your business literally stops the moment you rest, it feels impossible not to chase and to step outside of your design. This episode is about building the structure that lets you actually be in your design - so recognition and invitations can happen organically, even when you step back. What You'll Learn:❤️‍

Public artist Michael Townsend grew up in a military family that relocated often—at least ten times during his childhood. He learned early how to explore new locales and seek out new friends before moving on to the next temporary hometown. His final relocation was to study art at RISD, when he chose Providence as home—and began quietly reshaping it. He founded the Tape Art movement in 1989 and built a thriving practice rooted in ephemeral public murals, deeply private underground installations, and highly clandestine collaborations, including the now-legendary Secret Mall Apartment. For more than 30 years, he has created hundreds of temporary murals and collaborative public works around the world, including the 9/11 Hope Project and the invention of the BOOM! Projector. Now, with the success of the Secret Mall Apartment documentary on Netflix, it's clear that he and his collaborators were deeply intentional about incubating that narrative until it was ready to be heard.Moving fluidly in and out of the shadows—showing up, making an impression, then dissolving underground only to emerge again—turns out Michael himself may be a work of ephemeral art.Images and more from Michael Townsend on our website!Special thanks to our sponsor! In a time long, long ago. Before Jedi and wookies or misunderstanding of parsecs, a man made a movie that was less of a film and more of a performance art piece. That director was George Lucas and that work was his directorial debut, THX 1138.This week we are joined by friend of the show Amanda Joy Moon to discuss Lucas's first feature film, a profoundly different piece from anything he ever made from that point on. Released in 1971, THX 1138 stars Robert Duvall as the eponymous THX 1138, Donald Pleasence, Don Pedro Colley, Maggie McOmie and Ian Wolfe in a piece filmed more like a documentary than a feature film depicting life in a bleak dystopian world of work, drug induced compliance, outlawed sexual and physical interaction, and the complete absorption of religion by the state and capital. We discuss the metaphorical nature of the film, Amanda offers some incredible book recommendations, and we all condemn Lucas for going back and shoving CGI remakes into this film like he did to Star Wars. If Projectors are designed for success, why do so many of them feel stuck, overlooked, or burned out?  In this episode, Nicole explores one of the biggest misconceptions quietly holding Projectors back — especially in business. If you're a Projector who knows you're capable of more but keeps hesitating, second-guessing, or pulling back when things start to feel like "too much," this conversation will resonate. Rather than focusing on how much energy Projectors do or don't have, this episode reframes the issue entirely. Nicole breaks down how perception, past burnout, and outdated beliefs about capacity create invisible limits — and how those limits directly impact recognition, invitations, and success. What feels like self-protection may actually be the very thing standing in the way. You'll also hear why success for Projectors isn't about doing less, but about structuring things differently — with enough space, support, and self-trust to stay aligned. From time management to visibility, this episode challenges the idea that Projectors need to play small in order to stay well. If you're ready to stop limiting yourself, reconnect with what makes you magnetic, and redefine success on your own terms, this episode will leave you feeling grounded, empowered, and curious about what's possible next. What if the “alpha” you've been chasing was never something you had to become… but something you had to remember? In this interview-season episode of the Alpha Male Coach Podcast, I sit down with a brother who's close to my heart: Salu “Lu” Smith - a fellow Projector, a long-time student in the Academy, a graduate of Tribe Class 002, and a mentor who returned to support Tribe Class 003. This is not a surface-level conversation about tactics, dominance, or performance. This is an initiation story. A seven-year transformation. A real example of what happens when a man stops outsourcing his power and starts listening to the voice inside him that already knows the truth.Lou takes us back to the beginning: 2018 in California, a relationship that exposed the “nice guy” conditioning, and the pressure he felt to become harder, stronger, more masculine - not from alignment, but from insecurity. Like a lot of men, he got pulled into the mainstream “alpha male” content and the idea that being an alpha was about getting women, gaining status, and proving something. But underneath that drive was something deeper: a craving to finally feel enough. That search eventually brought him to this podcast and to the Model of Alignment - the simple but life-changing understanding that your circumstances don't create your results… your thoughts do. Lou shares how he would come in and out of coaching at first, trying to “figure it out” on his own, until life humbled him into a deeper commitment. And that commitment became the turning point: not because the answers were outside of him, but because having a coach helped him see what he couldn't yet see in himself. We go deep on what it really means to invest in your inner world - especially when money fear, doubt, and ego resistance rise up. Lou explains how the leap always feels risky in the moment, but once the decision is made, reality starts rearranging around it. The money figures itself out. The mind quiets down. The path opens. From there, we talk about Tribe - not just as coach training, but as a high-accountability brotherhood container where men hold space for each other to grow, awaken, and lead. Lou shares what it was like to experience Tribe first as a student in Class 002, then to return as a mentor in Class 003. Watching other men rise didn't just inspire him - it expanded him. It sharpened his understanding. It brought new layers of wisdom online. And then we go to the hardest question of all: How do you explain “the lights being on” to someone who's never had the lights on before? How do you describe awakening to a man still living inside the program?Lou's answer is simple and profound: you don't convince the mind. You invite the feeling. You listen for resonance. You trust the signal. And you take the leap - even when it scares you - because that fear is often the ego trying to keep the old identity alive. If you've been feeling that pull inside you… this episode is for you.Elevate Your Alpha.

This episode of Across The Margin : The Podcast features an interview with artist and educator Michael Townsend. Michael is the founder of the Tape Art movement and for over 30 years, he has created hundreds of ephemeral murals and community projects around the world. His work includes the 9/11 Hope Project, the invention of the BOOM! Projector, and the now-legendary documentary Secret Mall Apartment. Directed by Jeremy Workman and executive produced by Jesse Eisenberg, the critically acclaimed documentary follows Michael and his collaborators, who, in 2003, secretly built and lived in an apartment inside Providence Place Mall for four years. What started as an underground protest against gentrification has become a cultural phenomenon, a story about art, resistance, and community. At the center of the film is Michael Townsend, the artist whose work sparked the story. Michael has found a way to live his art, and give back to his community and the country all the while, from teaching collaborative drawing in hospitals and schools, and building projects designed to disappear physically but endure culturally. The mall apartment was one project among many — a piece of protest art that happened to be documented, and in this episode host Michael Shields and Michael Townsend delve into Michael's motivations, his enduring and inspiring work with Tape Art, the blended line between art and everyday living that defines Michael's life, and so much more. In this episode, I'm introducing the first two steps of the Empress Method: Expanding Love and The Mirror.I share how the Empress Method came through, why these two steps are the foundation of embodied sovereignty, and how expanding love is not about bypassing or positivity, but about increasing capacity, safety, and truth in the body.We explore how the mirror works in real life and relationships, why what triggers or inspires you is never random, and how these reflections are invitations into deeper self-trust and self-leadership.I also weave in personal stories, lived examples of expanding love, and insights around Line 5 energy in Human Design, including projection, leadership, and why Empresses are often seen as mirrors before they are fully understood. This episode is for you if you're ready to:Stop outsourcing your powerUnderstand your reflections instead of resisting themLead yourself with love, clarity, and embodied authorityStep more fully into your Empress Era_____________________________________________________________________I am calling in women who are ready to be deeply supported in 2026. The Year of the Empress isn't about doing more. Joining us is friend of the show Jackie; a librarian, Muppet aficionado, and the wife who fuels the revolutionary love of one of our hosts (it's the host that name drops his wife more than he does Marx or Lenin). Widely recognized as one of the most faithful adaptations of the Dickens' classic, the film stars Michael Caine as Scrooge, Gonzo the Great as Charles Dickens, Kermit the Frog as Bob Cratchit, and Rizzo the Rat as himself and was the first Muppet film directed by Jim Henson's son Brian Henson following the death of his father. We discuss the accuracy of the movie, the influences that led Dickens to write the story in the first place, what the story has to say about alienation, and how two Marleys is better than one amongst other things.Only two more sleeps 'til Christmas 2025, and here at Left of the Projector we wish for a world where all us meeces can have cheeses.**Cheeses in this case is a unified and liberated working class working towards fully automated luxury gay space communism. On this week's show DJ Briggs from Brightside Home Theater fills in for Braden who is away on business. We ask DJ to give us his opinion on using a large format TV as a replacement for a projector. We also read your emails and take a look at the week's news. News: LG will debut its first Micro RGB television at CES Local ABC, CBS, FOX, & NBC Stations Are Demanding Up to a 50% Price Hike for Cable TV Customers WBD board recommends rejection of Paramount's takeover bid Other: YouTube TV Wants to Unbundle the Cable Package That Streamers Were Meant to Kill in the First Place Tailwind Meross Garage Door Opener HT Guys Amazon List Swapping a projector for a 100" TV  Jon Taylor recently purchased a TCL 98QM7K (2025 model, QD-Mini LED QLED with Google TV) during Black Friday for $1,999.99 (50% off the $3,999.99 retail price). After using it for a couple of weeks in his basement home theater (replacing an older 82" Samsung and supplementing a projector setup), he shares highly positive impressions. Key Highlights: Size and Installation: The 98" screen is enormous and immersive. Delivery and installation (included from Best Buy) went smoothly, though modifications to basement stairs were needed to fit the massive box. Picture Quality: Exceptional deep blacks (best non-OLED he's seen, rivaling his old Panasonic plasma), vibrant colors, and strong contrast. Upscaling of lower-resolution content (720p/1080p from cable, Blu-ray, streaming) is excellent. 4K sources, including Ultra HD Blu-ray and YouTube, look stunning with minimal motion blur. Performance Across Sources: Built-in Google TV streaming: Clear and smooth. Roku Premier: Deep blacks and popping colors. Standout: Apple TV 4K shines brightest, leveraging Dolby Vision for an incredibly vivid, "popping" image—far superior to non-Dolby Vision devices on his previous Samsung. Gaming and Features: 144Hz refresh rate delivers outstanding performance with low motion lag. Fun feature: Displays four simultaneous 48" screens for NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV. Observations: Large size exposes weaknesses in poor cable signals (fixed by rerouting). He notes TCL (and Hisense) are seriously challenging premium brands (Samsung, LG, Sony) with high-end specs at budget prices, earning praise from reviewers like RTINGS.com. Jon historically preferred established brands for reliability but now sees TCL/Hisense as the new value leaders, similar to how Samsung/LG rose decades ago. He recommends checking out the latest high-end TCL models, especially for large sizes where premium brands were too expensive for him. He's also considering switching from Verizon Fios to a streaming TV service to cut costs. Overall, Jon is thrilled with the TV's performance and value, calling it a "force to be reckoned with."

And suddenly, your energy is the product. In this episode, Holly shares how she had to set strong energetic boundaries when her business was still small, because even at 2,500 followers, the pull for her energy was already huge. In this episode of The Alpha Male Coach Podcast, Kevin Aillaud steps away from the Matrix series to revisit one of the most essential elements of the conscious man's journey - confidence. With precision and presence, Kevin explores what true confidence really is beyond external results, ego validation, or social conditioning. Confidence, as he teaches, is not built through success or achievement - it is built through alignment.Kevin explains that the foundation of confidence rests on three pillars: thoughts, feelings, and actions. When a man thinks truthfully, feels fully, and acts with integrity, he becomes indomitable. Confidence isn't a mood or personality trait - it's a spiritual condition rooted in congruence with one's higher self. It's the awareness that your inner world shapes the outer world, and that your power lies not in the Matrix, but in your consciousness. He also draws the distinction between inner awakening and outer awareness, reminding listeners that real transformation begins within. Without self-knowledge, the outer world - the Matrix - becomes a mirror of conditioning and confusion. Most people, Kevin notes, are adults in form but children in consciousness, replaying childhood safety patterns in their relationships, work, and self-image. Confidence is the breaking of that cycle. It's the courage to follow through on your truth, even when fear arises.Through story and example, Kevin illustrates this principle with a lesson from a friend whose confidence was tested at work. When she made a declaration - “If this person is promoted over me, I'll quit” - and didn't follow through, her confidence took a hit. The point isn't about quitting or staying; it's about spiritual integrity. When your higher self speaks and you don't act in alignment with that truth, you weaken your inner trust. Confidence grows from keeping promises to yourself - especially when fear is present.Kevin emphasizes that fear does not oppose confidence; rather, it can become its greatest ally. Fear is simply a vibration, the energetic tension between your old patterns and your new intentions. When you feel fear and still move forward in alignment with your truth, you expand your power. When you avoid or suppress it, you reinforce the illusion of limitation. In his own life, Kevin shares how discipline, awareness, and energy management sustain his confidence - from his workouts and meditation practice to the way he honors his spiritual blueprint as a Projector in Human Design. The lesson is clear: confidence is not about doing more - it's about doing what is aligned, consciously and completely. This episode invites you to revisit your own confidence - not as something to achieve, but as something to remember. It's already within you. When you think truthfully, feel deeply, and act courageously, you become both an immovable object and an unstoppable force.Listen now to rediscover the source of indomitable self-confidence and Elevate Your Alpha.

What happens after you survive the unimaginable — and life expects you to simply move on? In this episode, 1/3 Emotional Projector Jessica Buchanan shares how being kidnapped and held hostage in Somalia became only the beginning of her true story. She opens up about the long and often unseen process of “surviving survival” — rebuilding identity, trust, and purpose after trauma — and how she transformed that journey into a mission to help others do the same. Jessica reveals how learning her Human Design as a Projector gave her permission to rest, release the pressure to hustle, and finally trust her own rhythm. Together, she and Nicole explore what it means to stop forcing outcomes, let life unfold through alignment, and find the courage to redefine success on your own terms. This conversation is equal parts raw and empowering — a reminder that healing isn't about going back to who you were, but about honoring who you've become. Whether you're recovering from burnout, heartbreak, or a major life shift, Jessica's story will show you that purpose can rise even from the hardest moments, if you're willing to see yourself differently. This episode is an introduction to projector sewing! Projector sewists skip the paper and project patterns directly onto fabric. We talk about what you need for a successful setup and how to use it; the pros and cons of projector sewing vs. printing out PDF patterns; and whether we're planning to start using projectors (we disagree!). We also answer a listener question about pants length adjustments. Show Notes
