Undaunted Pursuit Podcast: Back to Hebrews Bible Study – Understanding Our Savior (Hebrews 2) Welcome back to Undaunted Pursuit with Marshall and Aaron! After several weeks of exciting guests, we're diving back into our Bible study in Hebrews. This episode focuses on Hebrews 2, where we are reminded of the importance of paying close attention to the message of salvation to avoid drifting away. We reflect on Christ's superiority and how crucial it is to hold firm to our faith in Him. Key Points: Understanding Our Savior (Hebrews 2:1-18) Recap from Chapter 1: Jesus is greater than the prophets and angels. Why We Must Listen to Christ (Hebrews 2:1-4): The consequence of neglecting salvation leads to eternal death. The warning: "Do not drift away," especially in today's distraction-filled world. What distractions cause you to drift from your faith? How do you stay anchored? We look to passages like 1 John 4:1-6 and 2 Timothy 4:2-4 for guidance on staying firm. The Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-17): How each piece helps us remain steadfast in faith. The Authoritative Voice of Christ (Hebrews 2:2-3): Galatians 3:24 and James 2:10 highlight the importance of Christ's message over the law. If people who ignored the law were punished, how much more for those who neglect Jesus? God's Testimony through Signs and Wonders (Hebrews 2:4): The Holy Spirit works through us, distributing gifts according to God's will. His gifts serve a specific purpose and may change based on the circumstances. Exciting News! Marshall and his wife are expecting a baby!

Strahan is not only an accomplished writer but also the founder of the popular ministry Commoners Communion, a teacher at Practicing the Way, and an award-winning musician. Episode Highlights: Exclusive Insight into Thirsting: Strahan Coleman shares the heart behind his latest book, Thirsting, set to release on October 1, 2024. He delves into the universal issue of spiritual thirst and how the only true solution is a personal connection with God. As Strahan poignantly writes in his book, "Having it together doesn't qualify us for Christ, only desperation, only need, only thirst. The issue is universal, the solution personal." Rediscovering Communion with God: Through years of chronic illness and personal trials, Strahan discovered a deep friendship with God, filled with vulnerability and unceasing prayer. In Thirsting, he shares his journey and offers readers guidance on identifying their God-given thirst and experiencing the fullness of God's presence. The Soul's Deepest Desire: Strahan reminds us that “This world dehydrates us, it's what sin and disorder do.” From personal struggles like lost dreams, sickness, and grief to broader societal issues like political divisiveness and mental health challenges, our souls are in a constant state of thirst. But Strahan emphasizes that only God can quench this thirst, urging us to turn to Him in our moments of pain and confusion. About Strahan Coleman: Strahan Coleman is a writer, poet, and musician living in Aotearoa, New Zealand, with his wife and three young boys. His life experiences, particularly years of chronic illness, have led him to a deep, vulnerable relationship with God, which he now shares through his books, prayer schools, and spiritual retreats. Just a little light banter for you in this week's episode. It has been quite the year here at Undaunted Pursuit and we are glad you've been by our side! We wanted to treat you with just a little small talk to end the year, especially after that doozey of a Luke study. On the other hand Aaron didn't actually prepare anything leading Marshall and Aaron to just sit down and talk about what they were/did for Christmas and how we are going to go into the new year. That being said, Halloween was a blast with the kids and Aaron has finally hit the road and stepped into God's calling, by moving to Arkansas! Marshall and Aaron talk Luke chapter 23. We are almost through with the book of Luke and have enjoyed studying it. Who knows where God will lead us next! So stay tuned! Marshall and Aaron were approached with giving Devell a shout out on the podcast, but thought it better to just have him make a guest appearance instead, especially after finding out that Devell and Aaron go way back! Devell has quite the story and it was an honor to have him on this week's episode to share his story. We here at Undaunted Pursuit want to encourage you to please pray for Devell and his family as they traverse these challanging times, and want to personally thank Devell for sitting down and talking about what he's currently going through.
Marshall is out this week celebrating his brother's wedding, so our fellow brother Christian is jumping in to discuss with Aaron the book of Joel. As true to Undaunted Pursuit fashion, Christian and Aaron only scratched the surface, thus leading them to have to continue this for at least another few episodes! This was a fun one and definitely one you won't want to miss! Oh Aaron finally has some great news! Support us on: https://linktr.ee/undauntedpursuit
Marshall and Aaron discuss the finer details of being called out! They get into the rest of Luke chapter 22 and things are going to get just a little harder to talk about as we dive into why our Lord and Savior came in the flesh for our sins. Its not something to take lightly but has to be discussed as it relates to our eternal salvation. So much so that Christian and Aaron were at an hour and a half and only covered up to verse 15! The weather feels like fall for Aaron while the rest of the country "Roasts"! Marshall got deployed for storms but turned out that the "Government" shut the weather off before he got there and it wasn't as bad as he thought. Aaron said he was going fishing last weekend and is bummed that his outting didn't produce what he had hoped for. Getting outside is all that matters and enjoying what God has created! Marshall and Aaron get into Luke chapter 17 but thought they'd be nice and cut it in half so you weren't here for 3 hours. It's getting GOOD! Glad you hung in there this long, and be sure to share this with someone this week! Support us on: https://linktr.ee/undauntedpursuit Anthony Morris just dropped a new single on Friday June 16th! Hang on tight boys and girls this is one of the longer episodes! This may be long, but it's definetly one that's not worth missing......hang on.....did we say that correctly........you don't want to miss this one! Aaron is obviously "Jonesing" to do some real fishing that he's been watching outdoor videos and that has carried over into this episode. Aaron did confess that he has once caught a duck out of mid-air which is impressive in and of itself! It may seem like alot, but to be honest, it was actually a slow week for the boys but that provided them the opportunity to allow God to work on bringing you some amazing content related to "Money and Rightousness" as Marshall and Aaron dive into Luke chapter 16 this week. Support us on: https://linktr.ee/undauntedpursuit SAVED BY SKARLET is the fetured band on this week's podcast and We want to give them a huge shout-out and THANK YOU for the generous use of their music! Its been super busy with Aaron moving and house showings, Making it difficult to hammer out a time to get together to get an episode out. Have no fear, There is plenty to talk about on this week's episode! This one is full of laughs as Aaron's family got quite the surprise on their yearly Memorial Day outing watching white water rafting! Who knew that rafting would get people so riled up! Dispite losing his cat recently, Things are looking up for Marshall as he finally found the vehicle he's been searching for! All of this going on and the excitement the boys are experiencing with the possibility of hopefully getting to podcast in person in the very near future Aaron and his family recieve what he says is a "letter from GOD" which concretes the fact that this move they will be doing is all GOD LEAD! Luke chapter 15 is a good one with alot of insight because Jesus does all the talking and teaches us the joy of finding the lost. Marshall and Aaron had to take a week off yet again, but they have a very valid excuse. Not only did technology get the best of them yet again, but for good reason God had something else in store. Aaron has a big announcement to make that will possibly change this podcast for the better! Come celebrate with us on this news and tune in to Luke chapter 14 this week! Music this week is provided by another great artist BROTHER BOOTH! He's part of 5 Fold Gang Music Group out of Litte Rock, Arkansas Huge Thank you to him for allowing us to use his music! It took several tries to get this one going and they still got cut off having to resort to the old "outro". At least Marshall and Aaron got through most of the episode before being so rudely interupted by technology and storms. Aaron Unconsiously sang the theme song to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers during his frustration with the internet connection spurring a conversation about how we as believers will hit a point where its all "Morphin Time" for all of us when Jesus returns! Luke chapter 13 is up this week and guess what.....Marshall and Aaron finally make it through a full chapter in one episode! Support Us On: https://linktr.ee/undauntedpursuit Due to a hugely awesome response on social media we have secured a wide variety of amazing music from several amazing artists! After a short vacation, it's a slow start for Marshall and Aaron but things start looking up as they both talk about their most recent adventures. Needless to say the boys are greatful to be back in the studio and back at spreading the Gospel. Marshall visited Arkansas with his wife and had a blast in Hot Springs While Aaron and his family traveled so close to Marshall's home they practically waved on their way by! Aaron and Ashley were brave enough to take the kids fishing, as luck would have it, their youngest boy outfished them with the two biggest fish of the whole trip, all done on a kiddie pole!!! Marshall and Aaron finish up Luke chapter 12 this week, Lots of great material in this one. This is surely not one your going to want to miss! Marshall really needs to get better at his neighborhood watch duties but from the last couple of episodes it may sound like he's doing a good enough job keeping an eye on things around the house.......or is he!? Both of the boys are getting ready for vacation and they are ready! Marshall and Aaron get into Luke chapter 12 this week and are fired up about this chapter! There is just so much to cover on this one that, as usual, The boys don't make it all the way through. That being said this in not going to be one you want to miss!
