Send us a textHi everybody and welcome to Attendance Bias. I am your host Brian Weinstein. We are almost at the halfway point of the tour by now, arriving from Phish's 3-night holiday weekend stand at Folsom Field to one of the larger indoor venues on tour: the Schottenstein Center in Columbus on the campus of THE Ohio State University. This is Phish's first time playing at the Schot, and luckily, today's guests have a deep well of knowledge about both Columbus and the venue itself. My friends Ryan and Shannon are here to tell about different neighborhoods of Ohio's capital city, great restaurant recommendations, and stories galore from Phish's history in Columbus. For the most part, the modern Phish touring machine has always stopped at the now-defunct Polaris Amphitheater when it was time for the tour to visit Columbus. However, a legendary storm–some remember it as a tornado–made its way over the city during a show in 2000, and Phish hasn't been back since. The summer of 2025 is the return of the king.In addition to huge venues and college campuses, that reinforces another trend of this upcoming tour; the band's return to cities and towns that have been long-dormant on the Phish tour itinerary. Manchester, Boulder, Austin, and now Columbus fans are thrilled to welcome Phish back to their respective cities. Certainly, you can hear the excitement in Shannon and Ryan's voices. So let's dive into pro digs for college kids with Ryan and Shannon to get ready for July 9 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, OH.
Send us a textHi everybody and welcome to Attendance Bias. I am your host Brian Weinstein. After an odd summertime Texas stop in Austin, Phish is keeping us disoriented this year: it's now time for a holiday weekend run in Colorado…but not the one we expect. Instead of the end-of-summer blowout at Dick's over Labor Day Weekend this summer, we are instead celebrating our country's independence with a July 4th weekend party at a college football stadium almost double the size of Dick's: July 3, 4, and 5 at Folsom Field, in Boulder, CO.Today's guest, Bryan from Boulder., has lived in the college town for over 20 years and has a lot to offer Attendance Bias listeners today. While thousands of Phish fans have made Dick's their summer family reunion this year is a change of scenery, not to mention an adjustment to the calendar. When these shows were rumored, and then announced, there were mixed feelings among the fanbase (at least those who made their opinions known online). Bryan explains why there's so much to look forward to in Boulder, and how, in many ways, Folsom Field has a lot to offer, compared to Dick's. But it's not all just a comparison of two Colorado stadiums. There's also the band's history in Boulder, the activities within and around the city, restaurant and brewery recommendations, and more. I think a lot of us are curious about what this run is going to look like, and today's episode might be able to give us some answers to frequently asked Folsom questions. So let's join Bryan from Boulder, longtime resident, to give us the lowdown on what to expect for July 4th weekend at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado.
Send us a textHi everybody and welcome to the first episode of this new series of Attendance Bias: over the next few weeks, we are going to take a look at venue Phish is going to play on their upcoming 2025 summer tour; from old favorites like SPAC and The Mann, to first-time visits for Phish, like Folsom Field and Forest Hills Stadium.Today, I am joined by returning guest Chris Casey and his partner Jenn, both New Hampshire natives, to give us a local view of the SNHU Arena, or the “SNU,” at which Phish will open their summer tour with a 3-night run on June 20, 21, and 22.Phish doesn't have a big history at the venue, but Chris and Jenn have a long history in Manchester, and New Hampshire as a whole. So, what follows is a mix of a venue preview and a travelogue. I hope you enjoy it and look forward to our previews of other venues on the summer tour.

Coach Prime hinted at which positions CU will be looking to supplement through the Portal - which position group is in most need of a post-spring boost? ... And, as we now enter the post-Shedeur and post-Travis era, what will the pundits find to complain about when writing their CU stories? ... Let's find out ... Support the show
In hour 4 of The Drive, Zach and Phil react to reports that the Broncos could trade up in the draft to select a wide receiver. Is there a scenario the Broncos trade up in the draft and not select a running back? Could Ashton Jeanty slip in the draft and be attainable by the Broncos? Are the Broncos one piece away from being legitimate Super Bowl contenders? How fluid are the Broncos going into the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday? Zach and Phil share all the details on Colorado legend, Bill McCartney’s statue coming to Folsom Field. What other Denver legends deserve a statue? Will Coach Prime end up with a statue at CU? We wrap up the show with DenverSports.com’s Will Petersen joining the show to discuss the biggest takeaways in Denver sports today. Was it unfair to Denver sports fans for teasing a Gabe Landeskog return?
In hour 2 of The Drive, Zach and Phil discuss Jokic’s “flopping” in the playoffs and as great as he is, he needs to tone it down. We pivot to the Broncos as the guys question if the Broncos will be moving up the draft board during the first round. Could the Broncos be eyeing a wide receiver in the top 10 picks of the draft? Phil explains why the only reason the Broncos would trade up in the draft, is to select a running back that will make them instant contenders. Today’s “Three Count” includes Bruce Brown sitting courtside at the Nuggets game last night and hinting at a return, the dustup between Jamal Murray and Normal Powell, and a historic opening weekend ratings for the NBA playoffs. Zach and Phil share all the details on Colorado legend, Bill McCartney’s statue coming to Folsom Field.

Send us a text... It took three months from the end of CU's 2024 season to get it done, but Coach Prime's contract extension has finally been signed. I am joined for this episode by Brad Geiger and Neil Langland, and we are here to discuss Coach Prime's five-year, $54 million contract. We take a deep dive into how the contract fits into the national landscape of college football, and what the new deal means to the University of Colorado program, both near and long term.We also discuss two other recent news events involving CU football, being the return of an artificial surface to Folsom Field, as well the official nixing of the CU/Syracuse Spring Game application, shut down by our dear friends at the NCAA.We finish with a fun look at what Nebraska and “don't showcase my players because someone might take them” head coach Matt Rhule, and what they may be running at the Cornhusker Spring “FanFest” instead of actual football. So ... If you are a Buff fan, times are good. CU's innovative, program-building coach has been rewarded for resurrecting Colorado football, while Nebraska fans in Lincoln are being rewarded ... with a tractor pull. Let's talk ... Ever met someone who just makes the room feel right? Someone who can blend into any crowd, be the ultimate teammate or wingperson, and put others at ease while making them better? I'm sure a few names come to mind as you read this. And as you listen to today's episode of the Y-Option podcast with Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network, presented by our founding partner 76, you'll get that same feeling.Daniel - or “DJ,” as he's known in the industry - is a true master of his craft. As the lead voice on NFL Network during the NFL Draft, a constant presence in football media via his podcast Move The Sticks, and the LA Chargers radio analyst since 2018, DJ thrives in every environment. It makes sense. He was once a dual-threat quarterback who transitioned into media after an injury at Appalachian State set him on a new path. A chance encounter during that time changed his career trajectory, leading him to where he is today.DJ and I go way back - over a decade. We've done annual home-and-home podcasts on Move The Sticks and Y-Option, sharing a passion for football and the people who make the game great. In today's episode, we take a trip down memory lane, break down this year's QB class, and discuss why adversity often leads to success. We also dive into the NFL Draft prospects of Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, Tetairoa McMillan, and Ashton Jeanty. Plus, DJ shares powerful insights from 49ers QB Brock Purdy, on the toughness of Justin Herbert, and handicaps the AFC West - aka the Pac-10 from the early 2000s - under Pete Carroll, Chip Kelly, and Jim Harbaugh.I have no doubt you'll enjoy today's conversation and I bet you'll walk away feeling like you just hung out with one of the coolest and most insightful football minds in the game. While DJ is the elite voice of the NFL Draft, what I admire most is his humility, discipline in chasing what truly matters, and ability to elevate those around him. Be sure to catch him and his colleagues live from Green Bay on April 24-26 as the 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on NFL Network. As spring football heats up across the country, there's some big news to report:* Coach Prime's Historic Extension: Deion Sanders has signed a five-year, $54 million extension to stay at Colorado through 2029. While his 13-12 record may not seem extraordinary, his impact is undeniable. He has sparked a national - and even global - resurgence of the Buffs brand. The proof? Colorado's season ticket revenue jumped from $13M in 2022 to $31.2M in 2023, they trend every time he has a press conference and this April the Buffs will, once again, pack Folsom Field for their spring game. Coach Prime continues to redefine what's possible in college football. And I'd imagine he will be in the news a little on NFL Draft night as well.* Syracuse & Colorado Joint Spring Practices Denied: Not surprisingly, the NCAA shut down the idea of Syracuse and Colorado holding joint spring practices. While denied for now, expect the landscape to evolve as we move toward 2026, with more teams looking to collaborate. Jim Thornby and I discuss this during the preamble to my conversation with DJ and make a case for joint practices, just not like you might imagine.* Stanford Makes Big Moves: The Cardinal have named Frank Reich as interim head coach for the 2025 season. Given Stanford's unique recruiting challenges, this hire brings immediate stability. While they could have pursued a long-term solution, GM Andrew Luck likely prioritized continuity, choosing a coach he knows well—Reich coached Luck in 2018 with the Indianapolis Colts. Did they get it right? Let us know @Y-Option on social media as we had a long discussion about this strategy as well on today's podcast.I met Coach Reich at a Super Bowl event a few years ago and he left a lasting impression. I imagine Stanford's roster will feel the same way and I do not anticipate a mass exodus to the portal.Additionally, Stanford hired Alden Mitchell as the interim Athletic Director. Having known Alden for over a decade from our time at the Pac-12 Networks, I can say this: she's competitive, sharp, and fully committed to this role. The next 4 months will shape Stanford's football program for the next 5 years. Their success in adapting to the modern college football landscape hinges on the decisions they make now, and with Andrew Luck steering the ship, I'm optimistic they'll get it right as a good Stanford squad is a great thing for college football. As always, much love to all of you for supporting Y-Option. Enjoy spring ball.Stay steady,YogiThis episode is executive produced by Jim Thornby and edited by Victor Ren.This podcast is a Best Coast Media productionY-Option: College Football with Yogi Roth is a reader-supported publication. In hour 2 of The Drive, Zach and Phil take a deep dive into Talanoa Hufanga and what he brings to the Broncos defense. University of Colorado Athletic Director, Rick George joins the show to discuss the change in CU since Dieon Sanders became the head coach of the football team, how NIL and revenue share works in the current day of college athletics, what went into the decision to change Folsom Field to turf, and much more. Today’s “Three Count” includes the Broncos being allowed to wear their throwback uniforms four times in 2025, the Browns owner calling the Deshaun Watson trade a swing and a miss, and the NBA suspending Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid after their fight with the Pistons. After another tough outing from the Rockies bullpen, Zach questions if this issue can be fixed moving forward and if the Rockies will be above .500 this season after a 1-3 start to the season.
Deion Sanders signed a 5 year extension with the University of Colorado. The CU Buffs are also adding artificial turf to Folsom Field, and I don't like it. Ford executive kept track of employees' metaphor mistakes for the past decade, and they're hilarious. Hooters is trying to rebrand itself to avoid bankruptcy. Can they make Hooters more of a family restaurant? OnlyFans star Annie Knight is still on a mission to bed 500 virgins this year — even though she's now engaged to be married. University of Maryland says this year's commencement speaker will be Kermit… and just like that, they screwed over the graduating class. Idaho is banning truck scrotums.
Adam Munsterteiger and Brian Howell share their thoughts on Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders' new five-year, $54 million contract with Colorado, and they also discuss the decision to switch to artificial turf at Folsom Field.
On today's DNVR Buffs Podcast, the squad discusses a major change Coach Prime and Colorado are bringing to Folsom Field for the 2025 season: for the first time since 1998, Folsom Field will replace its natural grass with artificial turf. Hour 1 of The Drive kicks off with Zach and Phil cross talking with Dover. The guys debate if the Buffs “choked” with their loss to Kansas. Can CU regroup and finish their regular season with a win at Folsom Field? Phil announces that he will be in attendance for CU’s final game on Friday. It’s a victory Monday for the Broncos and Zach and Phil break it all down. Zach points out all the milestones the Broncos have hit and the losing streaks they have ended in the past 2 seasons. Zach shares the group of all-time great quarterbacks that Bo Nix joined over the weekend, with another stellar stat line. Is Nix the front runner to win the NFL’s OROY now? The Buffs had a let down in Kansas, what are Phil’s thoughts on the game? What happened to CU’s defense and ability to stop the run? Should we be worried about a let down spot for the Buffs now that they have only a slim chance to make the College Football Playoff?

A BUFFS FAN GETS A DREAM FULFILLED Riley Rhoades, a 72-year-old lifelong University of Colorado Buffalo fan from Loveland, Colorado will be granted his ultimate wish: to return to a CU Buffs game at Folsom Field. This is due to Jeremy Bloom's Wish of a Lifetime, a charitable affiliate of AARP that grants life-changing wishes to older adults and inspires people to redefine aging in America. Riley Rhoades is known for his quiet demeanor and generous nature. Despite facing significant challenges, including a diagnosis of End Stage Renal Failure that requires frequent treatment and a lifelong battle with spina bifida, Riley is committed to spreading happiness in his assisted living community. Though he doesn't hold an official title, he has embraced the role of resident jokester, routinely posting funny cartoons and sharing stories to brighten others' days. Riley's resilience and indomitable spirit shine through, as he continues to uplift those around him. The Colorado Buffaloes have gotten Riley through all of his hardships. Riley's love for the Buffs began in childhood and blossomed when he moved to Fort Collins in 1976. For nearly three decades, he was a devoted season ticket holder, witnessing the golden eras of the team, including Heisman Trophy winners and championship titles. Although he hasn't attended a game at Folsom Field since 2004, Riley's passion for the Colorado Buffaloes remains strong. Remembering the feeling of the roar of the crowd, the excitement of the game, and the camaraderie of fellow fans from years before, Riley asked Wish of a Lifetime from AARP to help his dream become reality, and it is finally coming true. After 20 years, he will be attending a game on November 16th and meeting with a few players + coach the day before. I'm talking to Riley and the woman who nominated him, Tammi Lehto today at 1. Nominate someone in your life here.

Send us a text... The Buff Nation was treated to a second consecutive late night Folsom Field rally, but, unlike the Baylor game a few weeks ago, which finished with a miracle victory, the Buffs' comeback could not be sustained against No. 18 Kansas State, with CU falling to the Wildcats, 31-28. I am pleased to be joined for this review/preview episode by Brad Geiger and Neil Langland, and we will be giving you our “T.I.P.S.”, our preview for CU's trip to the desert to face another set of Wildcats, this time the Wildcats of Arizona. Before we do our preview, though, we will be taking a few minutes to give you our review of the exciting - if disappointing - loss to No. 18 Kansas State. We will be discussing “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” about the Buffs' loss to the Wildcats from Manhattan, Kansas. Then, we will move on to the Wildcats of Tucson, Arizona. For those new to the podcast, our “T.I.P.S.” previews are broken down into categories:T- Talent - What CU's opponents are bringing to the game; which matchups may prove crucial; I - Intangibles - What off the field issues may impact the outcome; P - Preparation/Schedule - How the calendar and the weather may play a role; andS - Statistics - Which numbers should Buff fans be on the lookout for in determining the outcome. After going through our preview, we will each give you our predictions for the game. So ... Will Arizona's struggles on offense continue, or will the Wildcats find their way against the Buffs? ... Will injuries to CU's wide receiver corps, coupled with an almost non-existent rushing attack, cripple the Buffs' offense, or will Shedeur Sanders find new favorites to throw to? ... Will the sold out UA Homecoming crowd go home happy, or will the Buffs find their way to win No. 5? Let's find out ... Support the show

It's Tuesday, and we're digging into all the stories Denverites are talking about this week. First, football is back! ESPN is broadcasting CU head coach Deion Sanders and the Buffs' season opener from Folsom Field in Boulder this Thursday evening, but unlike at every home game last season, tickets are not sold out. Host Bree Davies and producer Paul Karolyi talk about the fizzling enthusiasm for Coach Prime and his uneasy relationships with the press and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Then, we discuss the CEO carousel at Denver's most famous burrito company (and revisit why Chipotle left the Mile High in the first place), and respond to your comments and questions on landlords and A/C in DPS. How do you feel about Coach Prime going into his second season at CU?
