Welcome to my podcast. I am Doctor Warrick Bishop, and I want to help you to live as well as possible for as long as possible. I'm a practising cardiologist, best-selling author, keynote speaker, and the creator of The Healthy Heart Network. I have over 20 years as a specialist cardiologist and a private practice of over 10,000 patients. Father-Son Chiropractors on Spinal Health, Mobility, and Whole-Body Wellness Dr. Warrick Bishop, cardiologist and host of the Healthy Heart Network podcast, welcomes Stephen and Sam Crean — a father-and-son chiropractic duo from Hobart and Kingston Chiropractic in Tasmania — in what he describes as his first-ever father-son podcast. The conversation explores the broader scope of chiropractic care beyond back pain, its role in healthy aging, and how it complements other health disciplines. Key Takeaways: Chiropractic care extends well beyond treating back pain — it addresses any issue involving muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints, bones, and nerves throughout the entire body Approximately 60% of the Creans' practice consists of patients over 50, reflecting chiropractic's significant role in supporting healthy aging Improving spinal mobility and neurological function helps older patients maintain independence, manage muscle mass, support cardiovascular health, and reduce fall risk The spine's ability to move and function as designed is central to overall health, as spinal nerves connect to muscles, proprioceptors, and organs throughout the body Chiropractic care works best as part of a complementary healthcare approach, integrating with services like strength training and bone density programs Patient empowerment is a core goal — practitioners send patients home with exercises and ergonomic guidance so they can actively participate in their own recovery Some therapeutic discomfort is a normal and necessary part of chiropractic treatment, distinguishing productive adaptation from harmful pain Preventive and performance-focused chiropractic care — starting early in life — can be more impactful than waiting until pain or dysfunction develops The Creans have worked collaboratively with local football clubs for over a decade, training multidisciplinary sports teams in chiropractic principles within their respective scopes

In this episode, we talk to Paul Drugan, who carried the emotional scars of growing up with a father who, behind closed doors, was controlling, violent and emotionally abusive. From the outside, his family looked successful and respectable. Inside the home, he was living in fear, convinced that somehow he deserved what was happening. Like many men, Paul never spoke about it. Instead, he buried the pain beneath achievement, alcohol, drugs and a lifetime of believing he wasn't good enough. It wasn't until adulthood that he began asking the question that changed everything: What if the person still controlling my life was someone who'd been dead for years? In this thoughtful and deeply moving conversation, Paul explains why forgiveness isn't about excusing abuse or letting someone "off the hook". Instead, he describes forgiveness as reclaiming your own life from someone who no longer deserves to shape it. In this episode you'll learn: Why childhood experiences can quietly shape adult relationships, confidence and self-worth. How unresolved trauma can lead to addiction, self-sabotage and emotional isolation. Why forgiveness isn't weakness and what it really means. How shame keeps men trapped in silence. Why acknowledging what happened is often the first step towards healing. This isn't simply a conversation about abuse. It's about freedom, identity and the possibility of living a life that is no longer defined by your past. Whether Paul's story mirrors your own or not, his reflections on shame, anger and forgiveness will resonate with anyone carrying emotional baggage they no longer want to carry. If you want to find out more about Paul, visit his website: https://pauldrugan.com/ where you can find his book ‘Forgiving Mr Jekyll' and you can also find it online at Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

Fostering Change

As Father's Day approaches, this week's episode of Fostering Change is one of our most personal conversations yet.For years, listeners have heard Rob Scheer share his family's story through the lens of a former foster youth, adoptive father, advocate, and founder of Comfort Cases. This week, he sits down with his youngest son, Tristan, for an honest and heartfelt conversation about family, foster care, belonging, and the journey they've shared together.Tristan joined the Scheer family as an infant, alongside his older brother, Greyson, instantly transforming the family from two children to four. Today, at 17 years old, he's a high school junior, an accomplished football and track athlete, and a young man beginning to think about college, adulthood, and the future ahead.Together, father and son reflect on growing up in a family built through foster care and adoption, what it was like being surrounded by advocacy and public service, and how Tristan defines family, belonging, and home.More than a Father's Day episode, this is a conversation about love, resilience, healing, and the lasting impact of showing up for one another.Conversation HighlightsTristan's perspective on growing up in the Scheer familyWhat it means to be part of a family formed through foster care and adoptionGrowing up around Comfort Cases, advocacy, and public serviceThe values Rob and Reece worked to instill in their childrenHow family is built through commitment, consistency, and loveLessons learned from fatherhood, family, and shared experiencesAthletics, college aspirations, and Tristan's hopes for the futureWhy belonging matters at every stage of lifeWhy This Episode MattersThis conversation reminds us that foster care is not ultimately about systems, policies, or paperwork. It's about people. It's about children finding stability, growing into young adults, building relationships, and creating futures for themselves. As Father's Day arrives, we also recognize that families come in many forms. Some young people have traditional fathers in their lives. Others are guided by foster fathers, adoptive fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, mentors, coaches, teachers, or caregivers who step forward when they're needed most. And many are still searching for that connection. To all those who show up, stay present, and help a young person know they matter: Happy Father's Day.And to every young person experiencing foster care, may this conversation remind you that family is not defined by biology alone. Family is built through love, commitment, and the people who choose to stay.

What happens when a police canine is given just two weeks to live? For Chris Bingham, Tambo's cancer diagnosis became more than a fight for survival. It became a story of loyalty, hope, healing, and reconciliation. In this episode of the Starter Girlz Podcast, Jennifer Loehding sits down with Chris Bingham, veteran law enforcement officer and handler to retired federal police K9 Tambo, for a powerful conversation about the bond between a handler and his canine partner. Tambo was once labeled difficult to bond with. But Chris saw something deeper in him—a reflection of his own story, his own wounds, and his own desire to be seen beyond the labels placed on him. After Tambo was diagnosed with aggressive terminal cancer and given about two weeks to live, Chris chose to fight for more time. What followed was a journey that inspired thousands, reached people facing cancer themselves, and unexpectedly helped Chris reconnect with his father before it was too late. This is a story about loyalty under pressure, the healing power of second chances, and the way one dog's fight became bigger than anyone could have imagined. ⭐ About Chris Bingham Chris Bingham is a veteran law enforcement officer, K9 handler, author, and advocate for retired police and military working dogs. There are so many layers to this conversation and so many layers to the journey of this incredible family: The Psaros family.Tressa had the privilege of sitting down with dad Harry and son Gus for what would become a beautiful, joyful and uplifting conversation. Harry is a bestselling author, autism advocate, and sports media personality (known as the “Pitt Guru”). When Gus was diagnosed with autism as a toddler, Harry at first denied it.  He was the definition of a tough sports dad, “There is no way my DNA would allow for this to happen.” But at a crucial moment, he pushed his ego aside to become the “warrior dad” in order to support his wife, Michele, and his family - and now fathers at conferences and events across the nation.Harry wrote his book, From Struggle to Strength: A Father's Journey with Autism and the Power of Hope and Positivity,  so other dads can learn from his mistakes, work with their family to support their child on the spectrum and their successful development, see how Gus is thriving  - including becoming a recent college graduate!- with the support of both parents, and ultimately understand that an empowered mindset drives lasting growth and fulfillment in the journey with autism. From Struggle to Strength: A Father's Journey with Autism and the Power of Hope and Positivity By Harry Psaroshttps://www.amazon.com/Struggle-Strength-Fathers-Journey-Positivity/dp/1958481254https://www.harrypsaros.com/Watch our Tressa Tries…video series on YouTube here.https://www.yinzaregood.com/FOLLOW US on social media:Instagram: @yinzaregood Facebook: @YinzAreGoodHave a story of generosity or kindness to share with us? Who or what gets your time?Someone shared with me that they once asked Coach Bear Bryant, "Coach, with all these national championships, is there anything you would've done differently?" He said, "Yeah, I missed my family."My friend said, "You mean you were so busy, you kind of missed them while you were working?" Coach Bryant answered, "No, I missed it." You know, this is one stage of your life between father and son. If you miss it, it's a one time event. Today I'm speaking both to you young men and both to your dads back and forth.God and your family are the things that are gonna last not only through your lifetime, but through generations. Consider doing these 2 things:1. Be honestly inconsistent. This means resist the temptation to blame or make excuses. Own your mistakes. Learn to trust the Lord and stop trying to control the world.2. Develop deep abiding relationships with each other. Profound friendships. Now this only happens through laying our life down for each other. You know, the thing about relationships is they can only be developed through shared history, and that takes time.Lay down your life for each other, and you will become best friends and mutual advisors. That's the dream and the goal to aspire to.May the Lord bless you and keep you.Jerry Leachman of Leachman Ministries is a favorite speaker at The Center's events. Along with being an associate Chaplain in The NFL for many years, Jerry has done ministry in Guatemala, Scotland, Europe and Africa as well as all over the U.S. He and his wife Holly have been on Young Life Staff and continue to be involved with Young Life here and also internationally.

He grew up in Barbados and moved to the United States of America as a young adult. Neville Goddard was perhaps the last century's most intellectually substantive and charismatic purveyor of the philosophy generally called New Thought. He wrote more than ten books under the solitary pen name Neville, and was a popular speaker on metaphysical themes from the late 1930s until his death in 1972.Possessed of a self-educated and uncommonly sharp intellect, Neville espoused a spiritual vision that was bold and total: Everything you see and experience, including other people, is the result of your own thoughts and emotional states. The legendary singer/songwriter Yusuf / Cat Stevens released his first album in 1967. He's a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and his albums have sold millions. In 2020, he released Tea for the Tillerman², a re-imagining of his hit 1970 album Tea for the Tillerman. In the song “Father & Son,” he sings a duet between the two title characters, doing both voices. But in the 2020 version, he approached this song in a kind of astonishing way—he recorded the part of the father, but for the part of the son, he used a live recording of himself from 1970, taken from a show he played at The Troubadour in Los Angeles. So the two parts are still both sung in his voice, but 50 years apart. In this episode, the 200th episode of Song Exploder, Yusuf / Cat Stevens tells the story of how he created, and then re-created “Father & Son.”For more, visit songexploder.net/yusuf-cat-stevens.

This is a "Shortcut" episode. It’s a shortened version of this week’s more detailed full episode, which is also available on our feed. In 2007, Australia was captivated by the two week run of father and son outlaws Gino and Mark Stocco. Eventually, they were captured, and the real story, more bizarre than anyone could have imagined, could finally be told. Journalist Nino Bucci has written the definitive account in his book, "The Stoccos: Like Father Like Son" and he joins us to talk about it. This is a re-issue of episode 53. What is the biblical relationship between the Father and the Son? In this episode of Apostolic Life in the 21st Century, Dr. David K. Bernard explains how Oneness Pentecostals understand this vital question. Drawing from his book The Oneness of God, he unpacks the statement, “Although we do not believe that the Father is the Son, we do believe that the Father is in the Son.”Looking at key passages in the Gospels, Dr. Bernard shows how Scripture reveals the Father working in and through Christ, upholding both the full deity and genuine humanity of Jesus.Visit PentecostalPublishing.com to shop Dr. Bernard's full catalog of published works. I don't know if it is because we are in a new year (Happy 2026 btw) or because it feels a while since the 250th, but this episode feels like a new start, maybe a do-over, or even a hard reset.(of course all of that is merely a figure of speech, and for those of you that worry about these things I am not currently trying to press a little button on the base with an unfolded paper clip).Anyway Ant and I have been having production chats about what the next incarnation of TCD (...sorry Lucy) is going to sound like, and the first thing that came to mind was 'get some more guests on!'.And so that is where we have started, and for #251 that means we answered the oft-quoted-call, and got one of the kids in.Love'n'third-bornhTCD Merch StoreBecome Purple and support the showThe Invisible Man Volume 1: 1991-1997The Invisible Man Volume2: 1998-2014FacebookInstagramWebsite

Thousands of immigrant children were separated from their parents at the border during the first Trump administration. And while a court ruled the government should reunite these families, hundreds still remain apart. In this episode, we travel to Guatemala to meet a father who was deported from the U.S. without his 14-year-old son. In theory the families should be able to reunify on U.S. soil. Lawyers and advocates are working tirelessly to track down missing families. But in practice, the new Trump administration is making these reunifications even more complicated.
