Why does the government want us to know they exist now? Or is this just the old bait and switch we have seen for many years. Tune in to tickle your funny bone. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ps-you-got-this/message
My special guest tonight is Kathleen Marden, who's here to discuss her extensive research into the perplexing and terrifying phenomena of alien abduction, including the paranormal events accompanying these abductions. UFOs have constituted a widespread international cultural phenomenon since the 1950s. Gallup Polls rank UFOs near the top of lists for subjects of widespread recognition. In 1973, a survey found that 95 percent of the public reported having heard of UFOs, whereas only 92 percent had heard of U.S. President Gerald Ford in a 1977 poll just nine months after he left the White House.[176][177] A 1996 Gallup Poll reported that 71 percent of the United States population believed the U.S. government was covering up information regarding UFOs. A 2002 Roper Poll for the Sci-Fi Channel found similar results, but with more people believing UFOs are extraterrestrial craft. In that latest poll, 56 percent thought UFOs were real craft, and 48 percent thought aliens had visited the Earth. Again, about 70 percent felt the government needed to share more about UFOs or extraterrestrial life.[178][179] Another effect of the flying saucer type of UFO sightings has been Earth-made flying saucer craft in space fiction, for example, the United Planets Cruiser C57D in Forbidden Planet (1956), the Jupiter 2 in Lost in Space, and the saucer section of the USS Enterprise in Star Trek. UFOs and extraterrestrials have been featured in many movies. The intense secrecy surrounding the secret Nevada base, known as Area 51, has made it the frequent subject of conspiracy theories and a central component of UFO folklore. In July 2019, more than 2 million people responded to a joke proposal to storm Area 51, which appeared in an anonymous Facebook post.[180] Two music festivals in rural Nevada, "AlienStock" and "Storm Area 51 Basecamp", were subsequently organized to capitalize on the popularity of the original Facebook event.[181] Follow us on Instagram Follow us on Facebook It's super easy to access our archives! Last year, college student Matty Roberts created a Facebook meme to “storm the gate” of the secretive Air Force base known as Area 51 to “see them aliens.” The Alien Research Center in Hiko, Nevada and the ‘Little A'Le'Inn' restaurant and hotel in Rachel, Nevada served as base camps for the 3,000 festivalgoers who actually attended what became “Alienstock”, a high-spirited festival of space alien enthusiasts featuring various musical acts, food vendors and activities.

The project also searched for "technosignatures" emitting from the interstellar comet 2I/Borisov that came through the solar system last year, but didn't find any. The new data includes the results of a hunt for signs of life around 20 stars that could, in theory, detect our planet in the way that scientists on Earth see other worlds. "Because I purposely looked at nearby targets, my search was sensitive enough to locate a transmitter on par with the strongest transmitters on Earth. We can infer that there is nothing as strong as our Arecibo telescope beaming a signal toward us." The intrigue: Only about 20% of Breakthrough Listen's total data has been analyzed so far, so it's still possible some exciting new findings could come from the raw data as scientists continue to pore over it. Little A'Le'Inn owner Connie West confirmed she is working to make the festival happen this year. When asked why she wanted to do the festival again, West said, "Why not?" West said the festival is pending permit approval. West said if the permits are not approved, she'll work to have the festival in 2021. Area 51 fever began last summer when the Facebook event "Storm Area 51 - They Can't Stop All of Us" went viral. The page's creator, Matthew Roberts, seized the opportunity to have a music festival during the proposed weekend. Lincoln County Emergency Manager Eric Holt said at it's peak, there were about 3,000 people camping around the Rachel area at Alienstock, as well as hundreds of people who drove out for day trips. Holt called the weekend an overall success. "Those agencies that came in to help last year because it was a quote-on-quote emergency won't be here for free this year," said Lincoln County Sheriff Kerry Lee. "You know what I mean, because it's not an emergency. Now this is something that they're planning for because it isn't an emergency ... I think the county was up to a quarter of a million dollars that they were out of pocket." Roberts said he didn't mind what West plans for Rachel this year, but the name is his. He said Alienstock has two big announcements planned. But a leading SETI scientists says it's more likely we find evidence of extra-terrestrial intelligence before discovering alien bugs. "There are two horses in the race to find life beyond Earth," Andrew Siemion of the University of California, Berkeley, told the Association for the Advancement of Science conference in Seattle, according to iNews. "The first is the search for chemical signatures from planets and the second is the search for extra-terrestrial intelligence. Intelligent life has the edge, as it can be detected across the entire galaxy." Siemion gave a talk entitled “Hunting for Technosignatures” at the conference in the same week he announced a major data release from the Breakthrough Listen initiative, where he is principal investigator. (The data has yet to return any evidence of ETI.) "And we can never be sure that methane or similar chemicals which we detect are really produced by living things,” Siemion said. “It just comes down to statistics - basic life may be very common, but we are much less likely to find it.” Intelligent life, on the other hand, can send evidence of its existence across the cosmos at the speed of light as radio waves, laser pulses or other forms of electromagnetic radiation. SETI scientists increasing refer to looking for these signals that could never be created by nature and other signs of alien technology as the search for technosignatures. “We've seen a dramatic explosion in the number of observatories, the number of scientists... that are working in this field,” he explained. But if we do find simple life in our solar system before detecting ETI's signals, it could point to a rather dark conjecture: that life in the universe is plentiful, but it rarely survives long enough to develop the capability to reach beyond its own world. People are starting to show up in the Nevada desert for Alienstock, a music festival that sprang out of a viral Facebook plan to “storm Area 51” authorities say there were approximately 1,500 people in tiny Rachel, Nev., on Thursday, but police are expecting the numbers to reach 30,000 by Saturday. And based on the first few events, most people are here for the jokes. Approximately 75 visitors held a tongue-in-cheek “protest” outside the Area 51 gate on Friday morning, where they waved signs demanding freedom for the aliens who are supposedly trapped in government custody. Some residents of Rachel, a remote desert town of 50 people a short distance from the military base, worried their community might be overwhelmed by unruly crowds turning out in response to a recent, viral social-media invitation to "storm" Area 51. The town, about 240 km north of Las Vegas, lacks a grocery store or even a gasoline station. Dozens of visitors began arriving outside Rachel's only business – an extraterrestrial-themed motel and restaurant called the Little A'Le'Inn – parking themselves in cars, tents and campers. A fire truck was stationed nearby. One couple, Nicholas Bohen and Cayla McVey, both sporting UFO tattoos, travelled to Rachel from the Los Angeles suburb of Fullerton with enough food to last for a week of car-camping. "It's evolved into a peaceful gathering, a sharing of life stories," McVey told Reuters, sizing up the crowd. "I think you are going to get a group of people that are prepared, respectful and they know what they are getting themselves into." About 64 km east of Rachel, the small town of Hiko planned an event called "Storm Area 51 Basecamp" at a gift shop dubbed the Alien Research Center. Organisers promised musicians, artists and "prominent ufologists," and by Thursday had sold 3,200 tickets, according to Linda Looney, manager of the shop. “This whole thing has been a shock to this little community,” she said, adding that organisers had hired 15 security guards and a private ambulance and ordered 80 portable toilets. “It's going to be really cool. I'm excited.” Outro My Left Foot by Dez Moran Show Stuff The Dark Horde, LLC – http://www.thedarkhorde.com Twitter @DarkHorde TeePublic Store - Get your UBR goodies today! http://tee.pub/lic/2GQuXxn79dg UBR Truth Seekers Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/216706068856746 Manny Moonraker: https://www.facebook.com/MannyMoonraker/ UFO Buster Radio: https://www.facebook.com/UFOBusterRadio YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCggl8-aPBDo7wXJQ43TiluA To contact Manny: manny@ufobusterradio.com, or on Twitter @ufobusterradio Call the show anytime at (972) 290-1329 and leave us a message with your point of view, UFO sighting, and ghostly experiences or join the discussion on www.ufobusterradio.com For Skype Users: bosscrawler

'Storm Area 51' creator leaves alien-themed festival in shakeup over safety concerns, fear of 'Fyre Fest 2.0' Link: https://www.foxnews.com/science/storm-area-51-creator-leaves-nevada-alien-themed-festival-downtown-las-vegas-event The California man behind the viral "Storm Area 51" event on Facebook that may draw alien-obsessed crowds to a rural Nevada county next week has pulled out of a festival spawned from the popular event because of safety concerns. Matty Roberts officially severed ties Monday with "Alienstock," which had been scheduled at the Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel, Nev. on Sept. 20-22. The event received final approval from the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners last week to let perhaps 10,000 camp out on the property in Rachel, the town closest to the top-secret Area 51 military base. "Due to the lack of infrastructure, poor planning, risk management and blatant disregard for the safety of the expected 10,000+ AlienStock attendees, we decided to pull the plug on the festival," Roberts said in a statement to FOX5. "I've never been more stressed in my life, but I've also never been this happy," he told FOX5 on Sunday. "It's insane, but it's exciting." "The permit holder (Connie West) was given multiple opportunities to provide us with the proof that things expected at this festival were in place. In fact, she refused to provide to us, as agreed upon, contracts, proof of deposits or any paper proof of anything," Roberts said in a statement to FOX5. The statement from Robert's representative says the decision officially disconnects them from the inn owner, the town of Rachel, and "AlienStocks affiliation with them," in addition to no longer offering their logo, social media, website, or "Matty Roberts likeness or scheduled appearance." "The creator of the Storm Area 51 movement pulled out because he feels the event is not safe and lacks organization. With a week and a half to go no preparations have been made and no bands have been signed," the town's website states. "If any event still happens it is going to be a pretty sad affair with no bands, very little infrastructure and a lot of unhappy campers." Area 51 is bracing for humans: Officials fear 'Alienstock' could cause county in Nevada to 'go broke' Link: https://abcnews.go.com/US/area-51-bracing-humans-officials-fear-alienstock-county/story?id=65121302 But the surrounding area, which has to host the event, is so afraid that "Alienstock" will overwhelm its resources that it has already prepared to preemptively declare a state of emergency. "It all falls back on the county and we don't have the resources to handle it," Lincoln County Commissioner Varlin Higbee told ABC News, explaining that the county needs help from the state of Nevada to handle such numbers. "We're paying up front. The county could go broke if we don't get help from the state." Anywhere from 10,000 to 30,000 people are expected to descend upon Lincoln County -- whose population is only 5,000 -- from Sept. 20 to 22, for "Alienstock," Higbee said. The event originated from a Facebook post from Matty Roberts, 20, who created "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us." On July 30, Roberts, and another organizer, Brock Daily, met with Connie West, the owner of The Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel, Nevada, "so we can fix this monster he created that is beneficial to the people and my community," West told ABC News. The Little A'Le'Inn is the venue for "Alienstock," and West said she is expecting 800 to 1,000 people on her property. She has 10 hotel rooms which were fully booked within two days of the Facebook event's posting which can accommodate four to eight people each. She also has acres reserved for camping and parking. Rachel, Nevada, at the time of the 2010 U.S. Census, had a population of 54. “We didn't ask for this, people," Higbee said. "People could just stay home and I'd be happy. Alien Stock plans forms after Storm Area 51 Facebook event goes viral Link: https://fox13now.com/2019/08/10/alien-stock-plans-forms-after-storm-area-51-facebook-event-goes-viral/ LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A festival is being planned as a result of a Facebook joke that went viral: Alien Stock. From September 19-22, “an experience that celebrates Aliens and the Unknown” will come to Rachel, Nevada — the closest town to Area 51. A Facebook event page was made several weeks ago that called for people to storm Area 51, a top-secret facility in the middle of the desert in Nevada. The page was created by Matty Roberts, who lives in Bakersfield, California. Connie West, the owner of the Little A'Le'Inn in Rachel, has been planning non-stop to host up to 30,000 people on September 20. “You know, in three days, we had over 1,800 missed calls,” said West. “We couldn't build enough rooms to provide for the people that want them, our phone still hasn't stopped ringing,” said West. West says coordination is key and public safety is a top priority. She has been in contact with Lincoln County leaders and law enforcement. West plans to have on-site security as well as medical staff during the 3-day festival. Despite naming the event “Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us,” Roberts says he doesn't want anyone to get hurt. A new and adapted possible slogan is on the festival website: “They can't stop us from gathering and celebrating Aliens!” Roberts indicated early on that he was hoping that a gathering or a festival of some sort would be the result of all of the attention. Festival Websie: https://alienstockfestival.com/ What is This We created the Viral Event, "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All of Us".
