This performance propelled him to being naming Eclipse Champion Three-Year-Old Male.By Champion Arrogate, the sire of 5 G1 winners in his brief career at stud. His dam Modeling, by Tapit, was a $2.85 million Keeneland November broodmare purchase. Modeling is a half-sister to Streaming, winner of the G1 Hollywood Starlet S. With the Travers Stakes coming up Saturday B and I dive right into the fully loaded card at Saratoga. With six Grade 1's and one Grade 2 Saratoga is host to the best racing in the country on Saturday. Now, being the Travers is often referred to as the mid summer derby, it is more then fitting with the Triple Crown behind us we are waiting for one 3 year old to take the spot as the top 3 year old in the country. After the Travers I think we will finally have an answer. In addition to breaking down the entire Travers field B and I briefly discuss the rest of the loaded card. We also recap last weekends Pacific Classic where Arrogate came up short for the second time at Del Mar leaving everyone to wonder the million dollar question: Does Arrogate not like the track? A retired American Thoroughbred horse racing Hall of Fame jockey, Chris McCarron won nine Breeders' Cup races, including five Breeders' Cup Classics, and rode six winners in the U.S. Triple Crown Races. McCarron rode many of the best horses of his era, including John Henry, Alysheba, Precisionist, Lady’s Secret, Sunday Silence, Paseana, Tiznow, Touch Gold, Go for Gin and Alphabet Soup. In 1989, he was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. McCarron finished as thoroughbred racing's all-time leader in purse earnings with more than $264 million in winnings. Jimmy Patsos is the head men’s basketball coach at Siena College. This season, his 14th as a Division I head coach, he recorded his 200th win. In his first three seasons at the helm, Patsos piloted the Saints to a pair of 20-win campaigns and national postseason tournament appearances. Patsos came to Siena after nine transformative years at Loyola University Maryland.
