We have a powerful episode for you today. Chris (with Filly) is teaching a foundational SPARK lesson inside our Ending Body Burnout Method called “You're Not Broken” — designed to help you finally drop the belief that something is wrong with you… and start seeing your symptoms, behaviours, and patterns through a completely different lens. When you can land this belief in your system, you'll start to see why you do what you do, why you've ended up where you are, and what needs to shift so you can create real change at the deepest level. If your heart resonates with our style of holistic ROOT-root-cause healing and you're DONE with band-aid approaches and “managing” your symptoms, you can learn more about our Ending Body Burnout Method (doors open again in Oct). In today's episode, Chris will help you understand: Why “you're not broken” is a critical belief to end body burnout (and why the “something is wrong with me” narrative keeps people stuck) The presupposition: every behaviour and symptom is meeting a need and every strategy has a positive intention (even if it's showing up “wonky”) The belief that your body craves health and that health is the default — and how sickness/weight/symptoms can be a form of protection from what you're most afraid of Why self-protection is actually an act of self-love (and how that reframe creates compassion and opens the door to change) How to start doing this work in real life: awareness first, then digging deeper as you move through the Reckoning module Tony Robbins' 6 Core Needs as a simple diagnostic tool: certainty, variety, significance, love/connection, growth, and contribution — and how symptoms can be an unresourceful way of meeting those needs Show note links Learn more about the Ending Body Burnout Method program here Take Chris & Filly's Ending Body Burnout Assessment here Find out how to work with Chris & Filly here Disclaimer: This Ending Body Burnout Show podcast and any information, advice, opinions or statements within it do not constitute medical, health care or other professional advice, and are provided for general information purposes only. Chris & Filly are joined with one of our amazing Ending Body Burnout Method clients. Neeka came to us after struggling with 4 decades of anxiety that was crippling her physical health (insomnia, gut issues, difficulty losing weight, body pain), and also crippling her confidence, her relationships, and her ability to show up in her business. She likened the anxiety to feeling like she was in a “prison” in her mind. And now - she has peace and freedom internally for the first time in her life, her confidence is blooming, she's showing up on social media for her ASMR business like a rock-star (and her ASMR practice is thriving because of it!), and she's putting in boundaries and creating healthy relationships like never before. Not to mention eating all the things again, and finally releasing stubborn weight & seeing muscle definition in her body!! These real-life stories are super special - I call them “evidence collecting”. Evidence that healing IS possible. The more you can hear and see this, the more it becomes possible for you! I have been dreeeeeeaming about holding a healing, transformative in-person retreat for our community for the last 6 or so months. Actually, if I'm being very transparent, Chris & I have talked about how cool it would be to hold retreats for the last 6 years. But last year, I had a very clear stirring in my heart that NOW is the time. However, my rational, logical mind kept putting it aside - “nah, too much work”, “what if no one comes?”, “life is so nice and cruisey right now, do we really want to be creating another thing?”, “it's too costly, people say you never make any money with a retreat”...blah…blah…blah…For many months I let my mind rule. Yet along the way, my heart kept prompting me to create a retreat. And every time I listened, I broke through another layer of subconscious blocks, until I took full-blown action!! And I wanted to share how I did this on today's episode - because essentially, how I moved through the blocks will be the transformative journey we will take you on in our upcoming The Body Knows Retreat in August. In today's episode, Chris & Filly talk about: Where the dream of The Body Knows Retreat started The A.L.I.G.N. framework that I used to overcome subconscious blocks around running a retreat - and the same framework that will guide the transformational journey at our retreat Emotional and physical “signals” that showed up, when I kept putting the retreat-creation to the side (including losing my voice!!!) Subconscious blocks and stories that were holding me back, most significantly the hidden “fear” that I'm not the type of woman that could hold space for a multiple-day transformational retreat How I broke through the blocks, including an unexpected rise of grief and sadness around a miscarriage I had in the past during a transformational breathwork session, and how it birthed me into action How I took big, heart-led, aligned action to make this retreat happen A little bonus at the end - a real and raw reading from my 2011 journal entry about my miscarriage Show Note Links: Book your spot to The Body Knows Retreat - save $500 with our early-bird discount (ends 14 May 2026) Come watch Chris & Filly in the musical production, Sunshine on Leith!! Episode 366 might not be the most chipper of episodes, as LAFC crashes out of the 2025 Club World Cup after losing to Esperance, 1-0. A missed penalty by Denis Bouanga sealed LAFC's fate, and now, all that's left is to hope we score a goal against Flamengo. Also on this episode, Filly and Scarf defend Denis, applaud Hugo, and marvel at the Tunisian support in Nashville. Oh, and Javairo Dilrosun played for the first time. Enjoy 366!
LAFC took on English powerhouse Chelsea in the 2025 Club World Cup. That's the headline. A match so important that Filly & Scarf brought on two special guests, Laff and lifelong Chelsea AND all-time Black and Gold supporter Slippy on the pod to talk about it. LAFC would fall, 2-0, but the effort, the heart, and the support were absolutely there for all 90'. Not the result we wanted, but the boys did us proud. It's Episode 365, which means you can listen to a new episode every day for a year!
It's Episode 363, and LAFC has just won the most important match in club history! LAFC slays LIGA MX giant Club America, 2-1, after 120'!The atmosphere was unlike any other in the history of BMO Stadium, as Club America brought incredible support and a high-powered roster into Los Angeles for the winner-take-all showdown. After a tense, scoreless first half, Las Aquilas would get on the board first, with a little help from VAR. A soft penalty was awarded, which, of all people, Brian Rodriguez buries to put the visitors on top. Just before the 90', a perfect corner from Denis Bouanga finds the well-placed head of Igor Jesus, and we are level! What a time for Igor to score his first goal, and we are headed to Extra Time. In the second 15' half, Denis Bouanga pays off wonderful buildup from Olivier Giroud and Frankie Amaya, as his shot deflects off a defender's leg and in for the winner! LAFC is headed to the Club World Cup!Also on this episode, we take a peek at our opponents, Chelsea, Flamengo, and ES Tunis. Scarf loses his voice, Filly gets it right, Maxime Chanot is amazing without playing a minute, and apologies all around to Olivier Giroud!
