Today's episode focuses on the energy exchange between guests and guest service. There's a similar phenomenon that happens on stage with performance artists - energy is exchanged between audiences and performers. But does that performance stop at the end of the show? At the end of the song? At the end of the album? Maybe not.I want to introduce a close personal friend of mine who is now considered a part of my family. He is a Billboard-chart topping recording artist from Toronto Canada with several albums under his belt, a well-established singer/songwriter and musician from Toronto, Canada, who just signed with AMG Sony Music….and most recently did a four-day stream on the app Twitch, playing music and raising money for Variety International….he has performed all over Canada, and the UK….with an upcoming tour planned in the US….here is Josh Taerk. In our interview, we ask him the hard-hitting questions:Was there ever a time in your life when you had to make a decision based on how your choice would affect your reputation or brand? And how did you handle it?As an accomplished musician, how important is your reputation to your brand? For celebrities, what do you think their role is when interacting in the public eye?Do you know of anyone who was in a situation who had their brand tarnished and had to build it back up?And how hard would it be to build up your reputation to where it needs to be, positively?Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to restructure or even maintain their brand/reputation? Featured song by Josh Taerk called Beautiful Tragedy……check him out on any streaming service! And be sure to look out for Josh's new single Hold On Virginia Coming out on June 16th. In this week's episode, we highlight one of our most popular episodes as June marks the anniversary of Operation Redwing. Char's husband, Jacques Fontan, was one of nineteen servicemen killed when the helicopter he was in was shot down during Operation Redwing in Afghanistan (from which the film Lone Survivor is based.) As a result, she has written a book, A Beautiful Tragedy, in which she speaks openly about the anger and bitterness that experience birthed, and her battle to regain her life, to heal within, and to serve others in the process. In this episode you will hear: Jacques was killed when Char was only 29 years old. We heard car doors shut. And they came to the door in uniform. I remember asking them, “So there's still a chance?” and he couldn't answer me. I've accepted that Jacques is gone, and he's not coming back, but he's not going away. I wanted to find somebody that would allow me to still respect and honor Jacques, and not just put him away on a shelf and act like that never happened. With my faith and my love for him, I saw how he was there hearing me through the darkest and hardest times. With faith in God, you can be mad and you can have your moments. God wants to hear that. If, on social media, you see the name of a fallen, look them up and get to know them personally. That helps them to never die. Losing Jacques wasn't beautiful but what I've been able to make of the situation and make my life from it is the beauty in it. There's a lot to think about when you start to date after the tragedy of losing your husband. We all want to honor the men who paid the ultimate price, but we also need to lift up the women they leave behind. I was lucky enough to find amazing love twice.

Judy Thureson has a genuine desire to see people live their most authentic life. In the last decade, she has helped hundreds of clients focus on their mental, physical, and spiritual health. In 2019, Judy experienced the tragic loss of her eighteen-year-old son, Jacob, to an opioid overdose. She wrote the book Beautiful Tragedy chronicling her experience and introduces the GIVE Principle. Key Takeaways: Judy lost her son to the opioid crisis. She shares her grief story. Judy shares how those two weeks of Jacob being unconscious were a gift. Unfortunately, visiting Jacob in the ER due to a drug overdose was not Judy’s first time. Jacob had so many recoveries prior due to his drug abuse, but Judy knew that this time it was different. There is a lot of judgement from other people about losing someone to addiction. Shame breeds and grows in silence. We all do stupid things as kids, but sadly these children are not making it out okay. These drugs are way more addictive than what we were exposed to in our youth. Hope and despair and misery and joy can all live in the same space. There is peace at the end of the grief. We are so ill-equipped when it comes to managing grief. What are the four pillars of GIVE? It’s okay to sleep in and just take care of yourself. We’re all on this journey together. Why did Judy write her book? Love wholeheartedly and make the effort to share fully. Do not be afraid to hold back. There is a lot of good that has come out of Judy’s tragedy. Resources: Judythureson.com Beautiful Tragedy by Judy Thureson

The story of SEAL Team 10 was widely publicized through the book and movie, Lone Survivor. Because of that, many of us know about the extraordinary courage and tragic deaths of the men on that Afghanistan mountain with Marcus Luttrell. We also know that a Chinook helicopter with a force consisting of SEALS and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment “Nightstalkers” was shot down during a rescue attempt, killing all 16 men on board. What is lesser known is the story of the men on that Chinook, or the ones who were left to grieve for the husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, and friends. In this episode of American Snippets, Charissa Fontan Westfall, author of Beautiful Tragedy and widow of Chief Petty Officer Jacques Fontan, shares her story of love, loss, and triumph she’s experienced since the death of her husband and the new love that came into her life.

Bobbi Sue Luther is a one-of-a-kind multifaceted human. She’s loud, she’s relentless, and she’s a dear friend. We’ve done two movies together MISS VIRGINIA starring Uzo Aduba which just premiered this year, and SYLVIE starring Tessa Thompson coming to a theater near you in 2020. She has been a wonderful mentor and has taught me how to find my “inner Luther” aka fierceness. She doesn’t care what you think about her, but she does care about what you feel. She teaches with a firm, but kind hand. And as Eva Longoria says, she’s a bulldog. Born in Maryland, Bobbi was an ice cream maker and a firefighter before moving to LA in her early 20s. She enjoyed a long career in front of the camera as an actor and TV host before making the switch to producing. True to her Bobbi nature, she dove right in and produced a music video for In This Moment called “A Beautiful Tragedy”, which was nominated in 2007 for Music Video of the Year on MTV’s Head Bangers Ball. She eventually found her way into line producing, working on the horror film LAID TO REST, which went on to become the highest selling title of the year for Anchor Bay/Starz. The there was FEAR CLINIC which led to Bobbi’s nomination for the prestigious Producers Guild, Producer Challenge award. She spent 4 years in house at the Oscar winning film production company Smokewood Entertainment where she operated as Producer on the slate and as the Executive in Charge of Production overseeing the highly anticipated family film “Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer”, “Crazy Kind Of Love” starring Virginia Madsen and Smokewood’s Documentary and philanthropic effort “Amongst Brothers.” Eventually, Bobbi jumped back into the freelance world where she is now. She has worked on A24’s THE LAST MOVIE STAR, Mark Pellington’s NOSTALGIA starring Ellen Burstyn, Jon Hamm and Catherine Keener, and the Edward James Olmo features THE DEVIL HAS A NAME, starring Alfred Molina and Kate Bosworth. Phew! That’s a lot of credits in a short amount of time. Like most producers, we all struggle with slowing down. In this week’s chat, we discuss how Bobbi has found a way to enjoy the ride, “feast or famine” of the freelance lifestyle, and imposter syndrome. Beijos, Caca

In local music news, spring is in the air, flowers are in bloom, and local bands are kicking out great new music faster than rabbits on viagra. Big Frank has released their long-waited new album entitled Franco Grande. We had the chance to catch their show a couple of weeks ago and they were in usual bone-crushing form headlining a local club, Xtreme’s Sports Bar & Grill in Gonzales, LA. Ben, P. Fridge, Matt & Klipstein were taking no prisoners and rocking a packed house. Check them out at reverbnation.com/bigfrank and support them by getting their CD. Other bands releasing new albums this spring include upcoming guest’s on the Tour Bus Music Show such as Cardinal Collide, as well as Black Market Halos, Poltern Kinder with their new album, Feral (available at iTunes). Lillian Axe has welcomed their new vocalist Brian Jones to the ranks and have dived right in to recording their new album tentatively scheduled for late summer/early fall release. Both me and Ana were treated to a preview of one of the tracks for the new album while visiting with Steve and his wife recently entitled “Take The Bullet”. The band has now placed the song as a sample track on their website at LillianAxe.com and is now available to listen to. Lillian Axe will be debuting Brian at 2 shows on April 8, 2011 at The Howling Wolf in New Orleans, Louisiana and on April 9, 2011 at FIRE in Jackson, Mississippi. Check their website or our concert calendar for details. Speaking of Lillian Axe, for those of us who grew up around Louisiana in the 80’s and got to the see the original line-up of Lillian Axe prior to them being signed to MCA records, we have good news! The Original line up of the Axe is back together under the name Circle Of Light. That’s right, Steve Blaze, Johnny Vines, Mike Maxx, and Danny King will soon be rocking some of their original songs as well as new ones starting around this may. They are also in production of an album themselves. Details will be announced in the near future. Again keep an eye and ear for that matter on our concert calendar that can be found at www.audiosmaximus.com in both blog and audio versions. It will be a good summer concert season if you are into classic rock, I’m not saying that there will not be a lot of great many modern acts out there this summer, but there are several notable classic acts coming to the southern United States area on tour this summer. Just giving you a heads up for Southern Louisiana and South Mississippi Area (and by the way) check out The Tour Bus Concert Calendar this coming week for more dates and details. Although it will be a little drive for some it will be well worth the trip with bands such as Motley Crue, Poison, Staind, Whitesnake, Papa Roach, Seether, Hinder, Skillet, Saving Abel, Sick Puppies, Sebastian Bach, Black Label Society, Drowning Pool and Many, Many Others, Speaking of Motley Crue and Poison they will also be performing with special guests New York Dolls at the Mississippi Coast Colliseum in Biloxi, MS on Friday July 8, 2011, Def Leppard with Special Guest Heart will be at the New Orleans Arena Saturday July 23, 2011, Journey, Foreigner, and Night Ranger will be live in concert at Aaron’s Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA on Friday September 16, 2011 and Queensryche will be coming to Hard Rock Live in Biloxi, MS on Friday September 23, 2011 As we said earlier, we have been checking out and listening to a number of bands during our hiatus and we wanted to pass on some great bands and music that we have found. While they are not a new band, this weeks pick is “In This Moment” from Hollywood, California. This band has been around for several years and released their newest album, “A Star-Crossed Wasteland” in mid 2010. For those of you who have not heard of or checked out this band, if you like hard rock, they are a “must-listen-to-band”. The band of extremely proficient and talented musicians: Chris Howorth on Lead Guitar, Blake Bunzel on Rhythm Guitar, Jeff Fabb on Drums and Travis Johnson on bass, with their alluring and powerful vocalist Maria Brink area a force of nature when they come together to make music. From haunting melodies to a vicious, shredding musical assault on their, let’s say…more energetic songs, this band’s music is addicting as we found ourselves wanting to listen to them everyday. On the first track of “A Star Crossed Wasteland” you press play on pur CD or MP3 player and you are yanked forcefully into the middle of a Category 5 grade mosh pit and are left to wonder how this proverbial wall of sound came crashing down on your head. While the mood and sounds change throughout the album, the entire album is full of great tracks, especially the more commercial sounding (if they can actually sound commercial) “The Promise” which features a duet with Maria and Otherwise’s Adrian Patrick. We encourage you to checkout their website, their videos on YouTube and on tour. Their current releases to date are: Beautiful Tragedy (2007), The Dream (2008) and of course A Star Crossed Wasteland (2010). Wow, what a whirlwind it has been these past several months. Lots of changes, late nights, crazy schedules… life has felt like a revolving door and at times not know if we were coming or going. To say the least it has been a challenge at times to balance our work schedules at our main jobs, family, pets, and turning what started as a hobby podcasting into a full blown production company. There have been times along the way when balance in life has seemed like a distant dream but all in all it has worked out. Don’t get me wrong, we are not complaining, as a matter of fact the sharing of our passion for podcasting about the topics that we do has been a vast reward in of itself. We love connecting with not only the people and now friends that we work with and interview, but also connecting with our community of listeners and friends across the internet and world for that matter. Not much inspires us more than to wake up in the morning and looking forward into the coming day knowing that we’ll have a chance to interact with so many people that we did not know the day before and the chance to learn from their perspective on life as we interact. Overall, the journey has required a lot of dedication and energy, but it has been a blast and we are looking forward to many, many more years doing what we love to do! Along with the other changes we have had a few personnel changes. Scott “Bozo” Hood has decided to take some time for more pressing matters in his life and has, at least for the time, stepped down from his duties at Audios Maximus and we wish him nothing but continued success and prosperity no matter where life takes him. However, we have been joined by none other than my brother, Kenny to help keep us on track and to help take Global Stage Media and Audios Maximus Media Network to the next level. Kenny brings with him an extensive amount of talent, drive, and personality to the network. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from SoutheasternLouisianaUniversity and he will be a very valued Partner/Owner in our network and production company. Along with our change from a hobby to an actual functioning company we have also had to perform our due diligence and legalize our company. As we take these next steps we have registered with the IRS, filed our LLC, working to get our business license, trade marking, and registering to pay sales taxes as necessary on sales of future digital products. Yes, formally going into business can be challenging but exhilarating experience. But worth every minute of it. Now that we are back we have got some great groups coming up in the next few months. Nonpoint will be joining us in May. We will also have several other great bands joining us over the course of the spring & summer such as Southern Whiskey Rebellion, Cardinal Collide, Winbourne as well as major acts. Once Again keep an eye on our blog and listen to The Tour Bus Music Show for details. As far as our production schedule, it’s full throttle and we don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Along with other changes our community can expect some changes to our websites look and feel over the next couple of months as we prepare to add many more interactive features to engage you, our listeners with and to improve the overall efficiency and control of it’s features and add our new community forum & discussion board.
