Therefore: There for what? Looking at Ephesus. Blessing in Christ Experience of Salvation Growing in the knowledge and strength of Christ Christian conduct… Chapter 6 into 6:10 THEN - Spiritual warfare. **much like the ten commandments> The first four are between God and Man The last six are between man and man. I COULD ASK: HOW IS YOUR WARFARE… BUT REALLY I SHOULD BE ASKING HOW ARE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS. If your relationships aren't in order, then your spiritual warfare tactics and fighting will be greatly hindered. Verse 10 starts out with therefore, be strong in the Lord. Meaning, you can't be strong in the Lord if you have unhealthy relationships and Wives - scripture says submit, respect and make him feel desirable… by this act you are clearly under his authority. If you do not do this you step out of Gods design for your marriage and are no longer under Gods designed protection. Eph. 5:22-24 The wife is to be under her husbands authority, ruler the head! Gk. = kefalay the loss of the head destroys the life Ladies when you axe the head of your marriage you choose invite the enemy to bring death in every area of your life. LADIES: You have problems physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally… have you placed yourself under your husbands authority, and by doing so his protection which comes from God. Wives respect your husband… not love. Why because women are the weaker sex… meaning they assume and associate Love with feelings. Men understand it to mean action. But Respect is an action to a women… you don't have to like him, you don't have to feel like it, you don't have to want to but out of respect you will serve that person. RESPECT SUBMIT DESIRABLE 1 Peter 3:7 women are the weaker sex… Weaker Gk = morally feeble… go by feelings more than whats right. Dad says the kid needs to be spanked… mom knows its right but can't do it. Moved by your emotions easily… is good and bad. Spank your kids… Dad~! Give them another chance - Mom Ladies, - when you choose to submit to your husbands, - when you choose to respect them, - when you choose to make him feel desirable… those are all things God asks of us in worship to him - It crucifies your flesh and it keeps you directly under Gods perfectly provided protection for you. Men are to: Eph. 5: 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. We understand 3 things about Christ and the role he exemplifies for husbands: - He came only to the will of the father - He gave his life - He is over the church WHICH MEANS…. Husbands you are to do only the will of the father You are to give your life for your wife You are over your wife. **Husbands if you are not walking in these your spiritual warfare is greatly hindered. Love your wife in such a way that she is more like Christ, without spot or wrinkle or blemish like Jesus presents the church to the father. Is your wife more like Jesus? SUCCESSFUL WARFARE IS JEOPARDIZED BY YOUR POOR HUSBANDING. Eph. 6:1 Children obey your parents Children - a descendant of… not by age, but by blood. OBEY - to be willing to listen (like answering the door) and willing to obey. *The caveat here is that the Father and Mother are also living under the right roles. The Wife/Mom is submitted to the husband and the husband/Dad is Submitted to Christ. **Children it has a promise… that it will go well with you and you will live long. “Well with you” GK is basically an exclamation point. How is your marriage? Answer: !!!!! How is your business? Answer: !!!!! How are your finances? Answer: !!!! CRAZY… Parents submit to your kids… ** In the same way - its crazy for a Wife to not submit to her husband. ** In the same way it is crazy for a husband not to submit to God. ** In the same way it is crazy for a child not to obey their parents. The ten greatest warrior clans in history: Top 10 Deadliest Warriors in History Mongols - Gingas Kahn Maori British SAS Spartans Ninjas Gurkhas Kamikaze Pilots Knights Samurai The Immortals Maori - Not only defeated their enemies they ate them. Cannibalism - they would sing this song: You wanted to run away, didn't you? But my greenstone club overtook you! And after you were cooked you were made food for me! And where is your father? He is cooked. And where is your brother? He is eaten. And where is your wife? There she sits; a wife for me. And where are your children? There they are, loads on their backs carrying food as my slaves. But there is even one more brutally fierce ferocious war machine that is relentless and merciless and destroys everything in its sight! It is the family that has a Godly father submitted To Christ A Godly wife that is submitted to her husband And Godly children submitted to their parents… THEY.

We're constantly juggling various commitments and responsibilities, leaving little room to be fully engaged in the present moment. But how do you manage to stay present while also prioritizing your time effectively? Whitney welcomes guest and client, Sara who we can learn valuable lessons from as she has mastered the ability to be fully present by shedding what doesn't serve her and embracing her calling allowing her to priotize her time with God. One of the most valuable lessons we can learn from Sara is the art of letting go. She emphasizes that sometimes, in order to move forward and be fully present in the moment, you have to let go of the things that are holding you back. Sara attributes much of her personal growth to understanding her identity in Christ. By letting go of the need to please others and focusing on her faith and values, she has been able to strip away layers of distraction and embrace the present moment. Sara journey teaches us that being present is a conscious choice, one that requires prioritization, self-awareness, and a willingness to let go of what doesn't serve our greater purpose. It's not always a comfortable path, and there are hard lessons to be learned along the way. Her story serves as a powerful reminder that being present is achievable, even in the midst of life's chaos. I love having guests on, but even more I love it when I PERSONALLY know and love this person. Today is such a situation. I met Jenn about 14 or 15 years ago during a gymnastics class our daughters were taking. You know when you meet someone and you instantly love them...that was Jenn! Since then the Lord has walked her through some pretty intense trials...she's a mom to two kiddos with her first husband who was tragically killed and a stepmum to two daughters when she remarried their dad...who happens to be from Ireland...hence "step-mum". She has a love and passion for the Lord that I envy and desire. She shared a post on IG the other day and I text her right away - I asked if she'd talk about intentionally prioritizing her marriage to all of you...because I know I am blessed by what she shares and I know you will be too! We live in a world of constant distractions -- noise, input, demands, notifications, all these urgent things bombarding us from every direction. This is one of the most effective tools of the enemy to lead us astray & get us off course from God's will, divert our attention from our priorities, and even pervert the good things we're doing. Distraction steals our time, presence, productivity, and ability to live out God's purpose for us at home, in our work, & every area of life. So grab that notebook and pen -- today we're talking about what it looks like in the battleground of our lives, hearts and minds, and what we can do about it. The enemy wants us to be distracted all day long: To be pulled from where God wants us to focus, & get bogged down in things that don't matter. To be too spread thin in our time and energy. To steal our capacity to focus on our family & the people right in front of us. To fall victim to lies & deception To be distracted by shiny objects, or overly swayed by what the world tells us we "should" be doing, or other people's expectations & opinions of what we should pursue / what "success" looks like To constantly be stressed and anxious, reactive, dwelling on mistakes, beating ourself up or ruminating on the past, or worried about the future. For our minds to be stuck on all the things we don't have or are overwhelmed with. The devil wants so many things to be swirling around our heads -- our to-do lists, incessant phone notifications, social media or even the news to pull us from the blessings and joys of the moment, our families, where we're uniquely called to serve, and what we're meant to give. So let's walk through practical tips to combat this form of spiritual warfare. Let's do this together sister. Gain access to my new Work-Life Balance Masterclass for just $37! Sharon McLaughlin is a retired medical and holistic health care provider. She has over 40 years of combined experience in Nursing, Massage Therapy with multiple modalities, and Holistic Health Care and Counseling. She still continues to provide holistic health counseling. She is also a mother of five, is married to her amazing husband of 33 years, and has experienced the loss of a child, as well as learning from her youngest, when he was born with Down Syndrome. Sharon understands and believes in the value of holistic health and is an advocate for the practical application of incorporating it into one's daily life. She shares how she shaped her children's life through educating them in the areas of how the body works. In this episode we will explore: What happens when everything you know doesn't apply to your current situation? Where do you turn? What do you learn? Sharon wasn't able to use her traditional training to help her son, Alex, born with Down Syndrome, so she learned about modalities that would help her to take care of her child with a disability. She used modalities such as massage, reflexology when sick, food combining for digestion. What questions to ask as a patient – both of yourself, and then how that helps you communicate to your doctor Ideas to implement into teaching children about how the body works and how her kids paid that forward to their friends. The common sense understanding of cause and effect and how to apply it in your own health To reach Sharon: swmtherapy@gmail.com

Kerri Walsh Jennings is not only the most decorated female beach volleyball player of all time, she's also a wife, a mom of 3, on a mission to live out her purpose with intention every day, and is SO relatable while she does so! This is exciting personally because I've looked up to Kerri since I got serious about volleyball and set the goal to play for a Division I team. Since that day she's been a role model to me and now, after this conversation, continues to be so in motherhood, growth, and living each day with purpose. Kerri has 2 NCAA titles to her name, 3 World Championships, 3 Olympic Gold medals & a Bronze. She and Misty May had a 112 match win streak from 07-08 and Kerri holds the female record for tournament victories AND for career earnings! While all of this is truly an amazing feat, she's also one of the most relatable, down to earth mamas I've had the honor of bringing to you on this podcast. In this episode we talk about motherhood, decision making, being intentional, nutrition, pregnancy and postpartum, and how EVERY mom out there is always just figuring it out as they go. This mom to mom conversation is about to bless you so much, enjoy! Johnny grew up just outside of Detroit, Michigan. She was an athletic kid with a love for softball and basketball. She was on a travel sponsored team at an early age and played all the way up through college. She landed a scholarship to, but faced some trouble once she got there. Ultimately, she was forced to make some tough decisions. In this episode, Johnny talks about how she was headed down a path that could have been destructive. But she had enough sense, and stubbornness, to leave Michigan for a fresh start in North Carolina. She had plans, but needless to say, things did not go as planned. When she was just getting ready to make her move, tragedy struck her family. But Johnny stayed the course. She was willing to do whatever it took to make something of her life. Johnny's story is one of triumph over adversity, and we love those stories around here. It certainly has not been easy, but Johnny possesses a little more grit than your average person. She is a tough chick and will kick your ass in the gym. Whatever challenge has been placed in front of her, she has conquered it. In this week's episode, we highlight one of our most popular episodes as June marks the anniversary of Operation Redwing. Char's husband, Jacques Fontan, was one of nineteen servicemen killed when the helicopter he was in was shot down during Operation Redwing in Afghanistan (from which the film Lone Survivor is based.) As a result, she has written a book, A Beautiful Tragedy, in which she speaks openly about the anger and bitterness that experience birthed, and her battle to regain her life, to heal within, and to serve others in the process. In this episode you will hear: Jacques was killed when Char was only 29 years old. We heard car doors shut. And they came to the door in uniform. I remember asking them, “So there's still a chance?” and he couldn't answer me. I've accepted that Jacques is gone, and he's not coming back, but he's not going away. I wanted to find somebody that would allow me to still respect and honor Jacques, and not just put him away on a shelf and act like that never happened. With my faith and my love for him, I saw how he was there hearing me through the darkest and hardest times. With faith in God, you can be mad and you can have your moments. God wants to hear that. If, on social media, you see the name of a fallen, look them up and get to know them personally. That helps them to never die. Losing Jacques wasn't beautiful but what I've been able to make of the situation and make my life from it is the beauty in it. There's a lot to think about when you start to date after the tragedy of losing your husband. We all want to honor the men who paid the ultimate price, but we also need to lift up the women they leave behind. I was lucky enough to find amazing love twice.
