In this captivating episode, we sit down with Robin Daniels, the Chief Business and Product Officer at LMS365, to embark on a profound exploration of thought leadership in the ever-evolving landscape of technology and software companies. With a career adorned with pivotal roles in various tech enterprises, Robin brings forth a wealth of experience and insights. Throughout the discussion, Robin unveils the pivotal role that thought leadership plays in the trajectory of tech firms. He emphasizes the transcendence of competition beyond mere product features, underscoring the imperative for companies to anchor themselves in a higher purpose. It's this alignment with a broader mission, Robin suggests, that fosters enduring connections with customers and stakeholders. A particularly enlightening segment of the discussion revolves around the role of internal champions in driving organizational success.  Robin shares how cultivating a culture of empowerment and trust can transform employees into passionate advocates for the company's vision. These internal evangelists, he argues, are instrumental in securing high-stakes deals and fostering organic growth. Three Key Takeaways: * Companies often compete at the feature or product level, but if you want to stand the test of time you have to stand for something bigger. * Moving from evangelizing to evangelizing through is a massive step, that takes time and trust but can have huge rewards. * People are social media are not looking to be sold to.  If you want your thought leadership to catch on find the things you are passionate and knowledgable about and speak to those.

Joining a firm as CEO requires a very specific skillset, and today we chat with Dennis Fois about his journey with Copper in this capacity, and what differentiates the company in the CRM space. Most CRMs have placed too much focus on increasing visibility at the company level at the cost of productivity at the user level, but Copper is different. In a nutshell, Copper is a productivity CRM designed for companies that use G Suite. Dennis begins by sketching out his experience and specialty of joining firms as their CEO to boost their scaling process and journey to product-market fit. From there, he gives us an idea of the vision at Copper – to be truly user-focused and increase adoption while making it more organic by honing in on amazing UX. We drill down on the process whereby a company onboards a CEO next, and Dennis does a great job of explaining when, how, and why this should happen, the typical differences between CEOs and founders, and what his experience joining Copper in the middle of their journey looked like. Building a great company culture across distributed and remote teams becomes our next main talking point, and Dennis lays out his brilliant thinking and approach to this matter. Make sure you catch today’s interview to learn how a CEO should run a firm from a man that was born for the role. Todd Wilms co-wrote [with Jill Soley] Beyond Product, a guide for business founders and entrepreneurs on how to take their big idea and turn it into a successful company. Todd is a huge fan of Emperor Palpatine (though not in a whole “dark side, kill rebels” kind of way). The Empire in its infancy was a startup and Palpatine, as a founder, was not only charismatic; he systematically took over…everything. Taking control of the Galactic Senate was a huge marketing coup orchestrated by a startup and completed with perfect execution. As a CMO-turned entrepreneur who loves a challenge, Todd created foundersplace.co as a champion of dreamers, trailblazers, and visionaries. He understand what it’s like to have an idea and love working 18-hour days. "The joy of seeing a concept come to life is simply indescribable." Founders, entrepreneurs, and startups can’t afford missteps with 50% of all new companies failing. That is where Todd comes in.
