Milkshake. Milkshake IPA. One is creamy and dessert. The other is creamy, fruity and could be a dessert selection. One requires a straw. The other beckons your waiting lips to the edge of a freshly poured glass. What characteristics make the Milkshake IPA stand out from its cousins? Join Jason and Craig as they open a can of Clouds and Cream from Central Waters Brewing Company of Amherst, Wisconsin and find out. Cheers!

“Velvet Elvis”… he's so fuzzy. He's so GREAT. We have a great time discussing this underrated (in more ways than one!) track from Even Worse. We touch on pro wrestling, John makes the world's worst black & tan, Colin Hay singing “Africa,” a theoretical re-rank because we're idiots, TUESDAY AFTERNOON WELL DONE, the benefits of Drunk History, streaming services are colors, Stevie Nicks: Meteorologist, pizza pizza pizza, we're still idiots, and more! IT'S A JOHNSLAUGHT!Lauren has Elvis Juice from BrewDog AND some Elvis whiskey! John has Nitro Munchables from Oliver Brewing Co. AND Fat Elvis from Central Waters Brewing Company (and he made a BIG mistake). Cheers!Beer'd Al is an idiotic member of the OddPods Media Network. Our promo this week is for the fine (fine fine) folks at Infectious Groove.

Another segment from the home of Hunter. Dougy Fresh, Cowboy, Hunter, and Paulie G (formally known as Pauly G) kick back once again to sample some brews and do what friends do best. . . make fun of each other. They started things off with a Saison from a young brewery in northern Indiana, the Koonzt Lake Brewing Co. then shuffled through some Wisconsin brews including beers from MobCraft Beer, and 3 Sheeps Brewing Company. Hunter’s wife gives the boys a history lesson on Iowa, Paulie and Fresh fight over which town is better, Sheboygan or Cheboygan, and there is some creepy van talk as the Pigs gear up for Vannin’ 2019. Special thanks to Cyrus Youngman and the Kingfishers for the use of their tune Life Won’t Wait to end tonight’s episode. A must-see live show whenever you get the chance. Hey, hey! We’re back! This week we’re back with our first full-game playthrough in a while, and we thank you for sticking around while our schedules have been a complete nightmare. This week we’ve got Teej, Schnell, and Nelson (Junior is on hiatus until after his wedding next month) playing a very fun game called Ex Libris. Ex Libris is a resource management game, but rather than sheep, food, bricks, etc., we’re trying to collect certain kinds of books to build our individual libraries, while doing our best to avoid the banned texts that will net us negative points when scoring is triggered. Ex Libris is played in rounds until end game is trigged by one player having shelved 15 cards of books. Players are then scored on things like secret objective achieved, shelf stability, variety of the books, and many other ways their collection can earn them points. When it’s all said and done, the player with the most points at the end wins. We all really, really enjoyed this game, and we think you would, too! Ex Libris has an MSRP of $59.99, and is definitely a game you should be adding to your collection at home. This week in beers we've got Teej double-fisting Spotted Cow from New Glarus and Milk Stout from Left Hand Brewing Company, Schnell downing Honey Blonde Ale from Central Waters Brewing Company, and Nelson is doing across the pond to have some New Castle Brown Ale, which used to be brewed in Newcastle, but is now brewed and marketed by Heineken.
Do you like Magical Gatherings? Teej sure does, drunk or sober. Join us this week as we play through Explorers of Ixalan, a game that marries Magic: The Gathering with hex-tile board game play (think a little bit of Catan). Explorers is a multiplayer Magic game, with each player competing against the others (2-4 players are supported) while also having the option to “explore” and then “exploit” tiles from the board, which can work either for or against the player. As longtime Magic lovers, this game was a no-brainer for us, and you’ll definitely be able to tell how much fun we had playing this game (and probably how many beers we had while playing, too. Hint: it was lots). The game retails for $64.99 MSRP, and is a game that we highly recommend, especially for Magic fans looking for a new way to play. This week in brews, Teej moves away from stouts (holy shit!) and goes with Bitter Woman IPA from Tyranena Brewing Company, Schnell goes fancy with Ouisconsing Red Ale from Central Waters Brewing Company, Junior attempts to murder his enemies with Hopsecutioner, an IPA from Terrapin Brewing Company, and Nelson rounds out the drinking with a Frankenstein of a beer that marries lager and ale, Sam ’76, from Samuel Adams Brewing Company. And we want to give a special shoutout this week to the wonderful woman who designed our logo, Katie Lynn Vogel. Thanks for knocking it out of the park, Katie!
