With a focus on vinyl releases, for the collectors, Spandau20 has lately also focused on its label nights, with showcases at Fabric, Bassiani and many others. The label's 10th release features 10 tracks that epitomise the musical diversity of Spandau20 and the progressive musical mindset of its roster, calling on the label favourites and Spandau natives to deliver brand new and exciting music. This special release even features one track that all artists have worked on together: ‘Come Closer', a swarming, slithering beginning featured as the VA's opener. Its barely coherent female vocal echoing amidst a cacophony of demon-like effects. The chilling ambience captured at the offset transcends into the first full length track by Elli Acula, ‘Floating Eyes', a cur characterised by an authoritative, pounding bass featuring calculated percussive rolls and metallic overtones to make for a face-scrunching opener to this devilish collection of works. FJAAK follow for the first of twin cameo appearances, partnering up with fellow live supremo and hardware aficionado KiNK. On ‘Overbridge' the trio deliver a cavernous, rolling number driven by a deep thrumming bass in addition to a razor-edged lead synth, and pulsating technopattern. Dajusch is known for incorporating his years of classical study in with his immersive musical style – and with his VA effort the Berlin native neatly showcases this. Easing the energy slightly, ‘Move' escalates from its warm, melodic intro into rumbling goliath of a beat comprising a looping, slew of gassy harmonics. The momentum of the release shifts considerably with the introduction of acutely versatile producer, DJ and sound artist Claus. The artist from Spandau leans his track ‘Bloomscroll' towards sparse, dubby sonics in which he intricately ties together to form churning, burgeoning soundscape. FJAAK jolt proceedings back into the techno groove with their signature blend of arresting sub-bass and reverberating rhythms, which come thick, fast and heavy on ‘Jackfruit'. The abstract wonder of Anna Z's broken-beat like stylings is fully explored on ‘Icy Liq'. It's outlandish and amorphous in its execution, causing a clattering percussive chaos that's choicely pieced together by the modular-extraordinaire. Nikk stealthy moves into breaks territory with his track ‘Down In The Shadows', packing a trap-like snare with an acid-flecked melody and dawn-breaking, dream-like textures. The penultimate track on the VA is ‘Tufted'. J.Manuel expertly employs a chorus of robot-like sonics that course through a short-circuiting low-end to produce a pacy, inescapable journey via a whirling, merciless beat. He is joined by the legendary producer Tobi Neumann for their menacingly ambient number titled ‘Fennec.' In parts a nod to UK dubstep, the duo concocts a fierce admixture of styles bolstering tribal-like components with industrialised overtones and methodically crafted drum-fills.

This week artist, frontline worker, activist, and advocate; Nikk Goodswimmer also known as PunkIndigenous (they/she 2S) is Stoney Nakota and Cree from Treaty 8 Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. They share their incredible, painful and harrowing journey starting with the millennial scoop of 2000's. Where the federal government continued its awful practice of removing indigenous children from their families. Now it isn't to send away to residential schools, but into the very same system under the guise of foster care. Then to be placed in white, Christian foster care where as recently as ten years ago they held Nikk down and cut their hair. Our governments are apologetic about abuse and genocide, all the while committing atrocities under different names and guises. https://www.interruptingcriminalization.com/defundpolice-toolkithttps://www.mmiwg-ffada.ca/End genocide

Still spørsmål: Vis interesse for andres innspill. 1. Utstrål trygghet og tydelighet2. Vær oppmerksom på kroppsspråket ditt3. Bygg opp budskapet ditt med struktur4. Vis at du bryr deg om andres perspektiver5. Vær deg selv og snakk autentisk6. Praktisk råd for å styrke respekten

In this episode of Palisades Gold Radio, your host Tom Bodrovics invites back Michael Oliver from Momentum Structural Analysis to discuss the stock market's present condition in relation to the upcoming US election. Michael expresses his view that the markets have not fully accounted for the uncertainty and potential instability arising from the election. He references historical precedents of market reactions following unpredictable election results, specifically the bull market peaks in 2000 and 2007, where interest rate cuts after periods of hikes led to significant downturns. Michael shares his perspective on the economy, emphasizing that the Fed has shifted its focus from inflation control to defending the economy due to Powell's concerns over an inadequate job market, particularly in manufacturing and essential industries, and a looming debt crisis. He discusses the potential consequences for the bond market and gold prices, suggesting that when the stock market corrects, data points will shift, prompting Fed concern about solvency and the need to roll over substantial amounts of debt with increasing interest costs. Michael discusses the potential for a government debt crisis and its impact on gold, predicting a short-term rally in T-bonds as assets flow out of stocks into perceived safety but an ultimately downward trend in terms of price and upward yield. He also highlights the significance of commodities related to agriculture, energy, and base metals following gold's lead during market upswings. Michael explains the correlation between stock markets and the US dollar index, emphasizing that increased losses may create demand for the dollar but warning that historically, major swings in the dollar index have followed the stock market trends rather than assisting it in times of potential breakdowns. Michael uses an analogy to describe gold's relationship with silver, viewing it as a 'mama market' with silver acting as an unpredictable 'wild dog on a leash.' He explains that while gold sets trends, silver exhibits seemingly irrational swings but ultimately follows the same direction. The underperforming gold miners GDX are expected to outperform gold in the future, and silver's industrial significance could lead to increased attention once prices take off. Predicting significant price increases for gold, Michael suggests that conditions such as stock market instability, central bank issues, and government debt markets could drive a surge reminiscent of the late 1970s and early 1980s, where gold experienced eightfold growth. Michael concludes with a discussion of the potential for market instability due to unpredictable outcomes from the US election, with both parties experiencing desperation and panic contributing to an unstable stock market. He also references Javier Milei's presidency in Argentina as a reminder of the need for painful changes in response to decades of mismanagement and anticipates an intriguing and consequential period ahead. In today's episode I get to chat with one of my favorite humans in the world, my teacher and mentor Nikki Vilella. I first met Nikk in in 2016 at a Yoga workshop in her "house", Kula Yoga, and immediately fell in love with her, the space, their philosophy and the purity and creativity of their teaching. Fast forward to 2024, when I've recently completed my 200-YTT with them in the program she leads. During today's conversation we discuss what led Nikki to become a Yoga teacher, her foundational beliefs around the practice, and how body and movement awareness can carry you gracefully through life. Nikki is the co-director of Kula Yoga Project in NYC where she has been teaching for nearly two decades. She is at the helm of the 200 hour Kula Flow Foundations teacher training program, leads an annual 75 hour advanced TT at her home in upstate NY and offers a mentorship program for teachers of all disciplines. She has written for Yoga Journal and was named as one of America's 100 Most Influential Teachers. As a teacher, she strives to include the perfect alchemy of alignment, intelligence, intention, and space into her classes. As a teacher trainer, she wants to unpack the mystery of putting together an inspired vinyasa sequence so that you can step away from the stress of “following a methodology”, cultivate your authentic voice and enjoy your job! She is also known for giving some of the most sought after assists in NYC.
In this episode, we delve deep into the shifting paradigms of resilience and modern parenting. As societal ideals evolve, many grapple with irrational beliefs, often rooted in an "idealized should" that rebels against the harsh realities of life. But is this shielding mentality beneficial, especially when raising our future generation? We juxtapose the permissive parenting styles of today with the pressing need for mental fortitude. Are we unknowingly depriving our youth of learning to face life's 'nos'? Join us as we explore the implications of seeking a utopian childhood experience for our children and the pivotal role of resilience in preparing them for the real world. And it doesn't matter how long you're in 'alignment', but how often you return Here. How frequently you find yourself not wanting, not seeking, but settled, in Silence, in Stillness,In God. Not settling in life, not being 'content' with the way things are, but seeing through the way things are.Being contentment Itself. Aligning and settling your sight, your ear, on what's actually Here. Now. And Now. and Now. Yes. But so are you, you just haven't realized it yet."-Eckhart Tolle"Settle yourself in solitude and you will come upon God in yourself."-St. Teresa of Avila "Heaven is this momentHell is the burning desire for this moment to be different."-Jeff Foster "Now is where Love breathes."-Rumi"Can you go a week without wanting?"-@JiteshVaswani via IG "To have finally dealt with suffering is to consume it into yourself. Which means you have to, with eyes open, be able to keep your heart open in hell... And what it involves is bearing the unbearable. And who you really are can do it. So that who you think you are has to die in the process."-Ram Dass “Many misunderstandings and false beliefs about Christ will clear if you realize that there is no past or future in Christ. To say that Christ was or will be is a contradiction in terms. Jesus was. He was a man who lived two thousand years ago and realized divine presence, his true nature. And so he said: “Before Abraham was, I am.” He did not say: “I already existed before Abraham was born.” That would have meant that he was still within the dimension of time and form identity. The words I am used in a sentence that starts in the past tense indicate a radical shift, a discontinuity in the temporal dimension. It is a Zen-like statement of great profundity. Jesus attempted to convey directly, not through discursive thought, the meaning of presence, of self-realization. He had gone beyond the consciousness dimension governed by time, into the realm of the timeless. The dimension of eternity had come into this world. Eternity, of course, does not mean endless time, but no time. Thus, the man Jesus became Christ, a vehicle for pure consciousness. And what is God's self-definition in the Bible? Did God say, “I have always been, and I always will be?” Of course not. That would have given reality to past and future. God said: “I AM THAT I AM.” No time here, just presence.”- Excerpt From, 'The Power of Now' by Eckhart Tolle and Now...And NOW :) I Love youuuu! Support the show
