The final 2024 episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast starts out with a speculative discussion about the leaked upcoming Swapticons which, in the presence of sparse actual information, evolves into a deeper look at the appeal of the Transformers brand for younger audiences and its place in the current media landscape. After that, a listener question about Pretenders sparks a look back at that gimmick of the past, with forward thoughts about how it could possibly be revived for today's market. The final installment of "40 for 40" has the crew looking back to the recent history of 2023 before the regular recurring "Bragging Rights" segment closes the show with the cast sharing their most recent Transformers toy and product acquisitions.
The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast's 357th episode starts up with the first of several listener questions, this one about an ongoing and classic fandom argument on who really became Cyclonus. Then the cast very briefly talks about the recent promotional scene releases for Transformers One. A second listener question prompts a quick round-table about favorite Transformers that wear another, smaller Transformer on their chest. The limited recurring "40 for 40" segment picks up from there, with the Generations and Masterpiece lineups from the year 2014 overshadowing the featured movie lineup from Age of Extinction. A final listener question probes into the cast's print media collections, with an emphasis on guidebooks and reference material. As usual, the "Bragging Rights" segment closes out the episode.
On Episode #341 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast, ScottyP, Kuhlio, Aarnhide19 and Megatronus look back for a 2023 Year in Review. Categories include: the Objective Best Toy of 2023, Subjective Favorite Toy of 2023, Best Media of 2023, Worst Toy of 2023, Worst Transformers Thing of 2023, and Biggest Collecting Achievement. These superlatives are followed by predictions, both our annual 2024 easy definitely-going-to-happen prediction, as well as bold spicy-hot-take for the year. Next is our new favorite regular segment: 40 for 40, where we each pick our favorite release from a given year, from the last 40 years of the Transformers brand. This time, we will discuss the year: 1998, with Beast Wars and Beast Wars II representing forming the core of our selections. Finally, we end as we always do, with a round of bragging rights for all the new things we bought since the last episode.
On episode 340 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast, the conversation kicks off with the reveal of Transformers Legacy: United Titan Class Tidal Wave at Cybertron Fest 2023 in Singapore. Contrary to the predictions Tidal Wave is not, in fact, a retool of the Kingdom Titan Class Ark. The conversation segues into another reveal from the same show, Origins Wheeljack, which features the 1984 debut character in his original Cybertronian vehicle mode. Speaking of cartoon depictions, the cast also briefly discusses the yet-to-be-revealed Studio Series 86 Commander Class Optimus Prime, and speculates on what the fandom can expect from this anticipated release. The show moves to in-hand thoughts on the recently shipped Transformers Legacy HasLab Deathsaurus, which has reached the entire casts' hands as of the show's recording. Moving on from new and upcoming toys, the crew reviews the third issue of Skybound Entertainment's Transformers comic book run, which are mostly positive with one notable holdout. Our regular "40 for 40" series, where each cast member notes their favorite Transformer from a given year of releases, takes on 1997, the second year of Beast Wars and only year of Machine Wars. The episode wraps with our regular "Bragging Rights" segment.

The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast starts episode 338 with a quick round of speculation about an upcoming dragon themed toy set to be revealed next month. After that, the talk moves on to the lone newly-revealed toy from Hasbro's latest "Transformers Tuesday" event, that toy being a Soundwave which uses the design from the upcoming Reactivate videogame. Additional thoughts on the Haslab Deathsaurus figure that's about to ship out follow, prompted by the unboxing video that Hasbro sent out to project backers during this past week. Skybound's second issue of their flagship Transformers comic book has hit the shelves, so the cast reflects on it next in a spoiler-filled discussion. The 40 for 40 limited segment then brings up memories of the Generation 2 toys from 1995, before the episode concludes with the recurring "Bragging Rights" segment where the cast shares their most recent and notable Transformers toy and product acquisitions.

I think the Joe franchise survival instinct is kicking in with them trying to secure Michael Keaton for yet another reboot of the Joe cinematic universe. The Transformers team instinct is hopefully going to kick in when it comes to the Deathsaurus package artwork. Star Wars is doing pretty well with their Mando Mania, but I'm concerned that they're doing too many of the same characters. Masters just continues to kill it. Even its partners are turning out gold.
Episode 315 of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast begins with some end of year leaks for Legacy as pictures have surfaced of Voyager Skyquake as well as Deluxe Class entries for a new Junkion and Animated Prowl. The cast continues the toy talk with in hand experiences with the Haslab Victory Saber. Next, thoughts on toy leaks continue once again with a cartoon-style G1 Hound followed by Rise of the Beasts Wheeljack and Nightbird. Quick reflections on the surprise bonus tier for Haslab Deathsaurus featuring Micromasters Pipo and Boater round out the discussions on upcoming toys. A brief mention of the forthcoming Tranformers Reactivate videogame comes next, followed by a brief installment in the show's ongoing "Classics" Retrospective. Listener questions get answered next, first about what characters need to be added to Legacy's Core Class, then the second asking the cast to reflect on their favorite IDW memories. As usual, Bragging Rights closes out the episode.

Our first teaser trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is finally here, so after episode 314 of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast begins with a quick Deathsaurus Haslab watch it moves into a general discussion of the new trailer. This also includes speculation on the exciting new designs of the classic Beast Wars and G1 characters revealed within. Continuing with the movie discussion, official reveals and preorders are now available for 2 new Rise of the Beasts Studio Series figures. Next, leaks in the form of listings for 2024 Generations Legacy toys are speculated on including a possible Rescue Bots Medix figure. Multiple listener questions are then answered including what newer characters from G1 continuity over the years would make a fun G1 toy repaint, which Japanese G1 show we'd choose to remake as a western cartoon, and where is Masterpiece Mirage after all this time. As always, bragging rights closes out the episode with some surprising findings from the crew.

The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast starts out episode 313 with one more not-yet-final check-in on the status of the currently running Haslab crowdfunding campaign for Deathsaurus. More leaked toys from the upcoming Rise of the Beasts live action film are also analyzed with Battletrap and another Airazor, both seemingly from the Studio Series lineup, providing most of the focus. The episode's main topic follows with a lengthy discussion on the recently released first part of Transformers: Earthspark. This Nickolodeon and Paramount Plus cartoon affords opportunity to discuss the characters in the show including newcomer Terran 'bots Twitch and Thrash, plus returning brand staples like Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Megatron. The human cast, overall plot, voice acting, animation and even more are all discussed in this detailed round-up of impressions and opinions on the new show. Once that concludes, the episode wraps up with the annual Thanksgiving sale wishlists and then the recurring Bragging Rights segment.
Episode 312 of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast starts with quick looks at current events in Transformers, beginning with a check-in on the status of the currently running Haslab crowdfunding campaign for Deathsaurus. The first leaked, collector-oriented Rise of the Beasts toy has been seen in the form of Airazor, then once impressions are shared about that the conversation moves to the recently revealed Holiday themed Optimus Prime coming soon to collectors' shelves. Several new listener questions are addressed after this, running a gamut of topics from Movie-themed repaints of G1 toys, to repaints in general, to breaks in collecting and even to fictional continuations of the G1 cartoon story. The long-running Classics retrospective continues after that, with the Generations releases of 2013 such as the landmark Titan Class Metroplex and other associated releases taking center stage. The recurring Bragging Rights segment ends the episode in usual fashion.

Episode 291 of the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast looks back at 2021 and ahead to 2022. The retrospective begins with opinions on the objective best Transformer of the year before a small tilt occurs for the next topic where the cast provides their subjective favorites. Transformers TV and comic book releases are looked at next, with Cyberverse on the minds of the cast when thinking about the best media of the year. After a tongue-in-cheek look at the year's "Most 2020 Moment", the best-of segments are put on pause as the talk moves into scolding the worst toys and general developments for Transformers during the past year. Positive reflections return with a look at personal collecting achivements that occurred in the past twelve months. Predictions follow with both easy calls and less likely, wishful thinking predictions for what could be in store for Transformers in 2022. The recurring Bragging Rights segment closes another episode and another year of the show as usual.

Episode 259 of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast begins with speculation on a mysterious new image that shows a box for a Transformers: Prime 10th Anniversary figure set featuring Breakdown and a Vehicon. Whether this is a set of a Voyager Class figure and a Deluxe Class figure or a portent of separate releases is unknown, but the cast shares their ideas on what could be inside. After that, more unofficial information is analyzed with the first images appearing online for what looks like the next Generations Titan Class release, with the surprising alternate mode based on the Ark spacecraft from Generation One. After that, discussion occurs surrounding an upcoming two pack featuring "Shattered Glass" universe versions of Optimus Prime and Ratchet. More Generations Selects talk follows as the topic shifts to the Deluxe Class 2-pack featuring Cordon and Spin-Out, both recolors of the still upcoming Earthrise Sunstreaker. With the opportunity to talk Diaclone present given those homages, the talk turns to the Diaclone reboot series with its re-imagining of Battle Convoy, the character who would later become Optimus Prime, on the horizon. Quick looks at Takara Tomy's updated re-release of the Dinobot combiner Volcanicus and Earthrise Runabout lead into a brief segment of comics talk centered around the recently released Transformers '84: Secrets and Lies #3. The show then ends with the recurring Bragging Rights segment.

Episode 242 of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast catches up on the first wave of products for Transformers Generations War for Cybertron: Earthrise. With most of these products available for collectors to have in-hand now, opinions are shared about the Leader Class figures Astrotrain and Optimus Prime, Voyager Class Grapple and Starscream, Deluxe Class Hoist and Ironworks plus many more along the way. These lead to a look ahead to the recently announced Trailbreaker and Sunstreaker from the same series, plus Takara Tomy's slightly altered take on the Quintesson Alicon. The Beast Wars resume next with MP-48 Lio Convoy arriving and impressing the cast with its superb engineering and uncanny replication of the character model. Your Botcon recap show starts with none other than the journey to the show itself! Seibertron, Starscream, and Dr. Va'al himself hit the road from Chicago to Louisville and recap the history of the show. But first, comics talk. It all starts out with Megatron: Origin. Dr. Va'al leads a deep dive through how that foundation has led to the current events with Megatron in MTMTE. Road trip conversations seem to go anywhere. Even Pretenders come up along the way, with thoughts about what could happen if they mastered all the things. They'll frame up the ongoing conversation about the Titan Master gimmick. The Botcon set itself then takes over the focus, including the Dawn of the Predacus boxed set and attendee freebie Terrorsaur. A look back at Botcons of the past continues the conversation. Relive memories of the past with all your Botcon pals like Deathsaurus, Tyrese, Clench, and more. That wasn't the only crew headed out on the open road. Scotty P and Razorclaw0000 wearily pass the last hour of their road trip from Raleigh by recording thoughts just for you.
