Aquest dilluns, toca la segona jornada de l'Estudiant de Ferro. Aquesta iniciativa, adreçada a l'alumnat de 3r i 4t d'ESO dels centres educatius de Lloret, consta de tres proves: una de trail, una en bicicleta de muntanya i una altra de natació al mar. En aquest cas, es durà a terme la prova de BTT per l'entorn natural de Lloret, amb la previsió de 160 participants. Faran un recorregut atractiu de 14 km per la zona de Sant Pere del Bosc. Ho ha explicat un dels Mestres del Rocagrossa, José Berjaga. “El projecte té un valor especial perquè les proves estan organitzades pels alumnes del Rocagrossa, és més participativa que no competitiva”Jose Berjaga L'objectiu de les tres proves de l'Estudiant de Ferro és fomentar la pràctica esportiva a l'entorn natural del municipi i que els alumnes de diferents centres es coneguin. La Trail es va fer mesos enrere, avui és el torn de la BTT i de cara a la primavera arriba la prova de natació a Fenals.

Una de les finalitats de la formació és que les alumnes puguin millorar les seves condicions i que rebin suport emocional, a més de conèixer els serveis municipals relacionats amb aquest sector. El regidor de Benestar i Família, Alejandro Pérez, es mostra content que s'hagin ocupat totes les places i explica que, en acabar, les usuàries rebran un certificació acreditativa del curs. Afegeix que es pretén “generar un espai per compartir experiències i crear xarxa de suport entre les participants”. Les sessions -que són gratuïtes- es duen a terme cada dissabte al centre cívic de Can Carbó. La primera és demà, a partir de les 16h. La formació està organitzada per Benestar i Família, amb la col·laboració de la fundació Sergi.

La coral Unió Lloretenca sortirà al carrer aquest diumenge, 21 de desembre, per cantar ‘nadales' pel centre de la vila. Una vintena de cantaires de l'entitat interpretaran un repertori de cançons típicament catalanes, a més de temes internacionals i algun de més modern. Manel Alsina, director de la Unió Lloretenca, explica que “donem importància a les nadales tradicionals catalanes, com Santa Nit, el Rabadà, El desembre congelat o Fum, Fum, Fum, a més d'alguna cançó com Joia al món que agraden molt”. Recent recording features include albums with Carlos Simon, La Martino Orquesta Típica, and loadbang. She has had compositions featured at the NYSSMA Conference and the Persis Vehar Competition for Excellence. Also active in the world of tango music, she has performed with Victor Lavallén and the Orquesta Escuela de Emilio Balcarce, as well as at festivals across the United States. As a soloist, Faran has performed throughout the United States, Italy, Argentina, Germany, México, and Canada, including appearances with the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Uptown Philharmonic, the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra the Ann Arbor Camerata, the Williamsville East Symphonic Orchestra, and the University of Vermont Symphony. Administratively, she has held internship positions in the Marketing and Education Departments of the Buffalo Philharmonic, and Education and Concerts/Touring with Jazz at Lincoln Center. She founded Ann Arbor arts collective Red Shoe Company and worked as a teaching artist with the Kennedy Center, the University Musical Society  and the Sphinx Organization.After graduating from the University of Michigan, Faran moved to Buenos Aires on a Fulbright grant. Faran was also a Turn The Spotlight Fellow, receiving their inaugural Hedwig Holbrook Prize. Faran participated in OneBeat, a fellowship in musical diplomacy, DeeDee Bridgewater's Woodshed Network, and recently graduated from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied Contemporary Performance. She performs in the electroacoustic duo Persephone & the Phoenix as well as being a certified personal trainer, with a focus on career longevity for performers. Instead, she's doing the old, “high school project to take care of a fake baby with a romantic interest” plot line, which is extra gross because… you know. Mouse has more drama with her creepy LARPing dude Steve, and tricks her mom into revealing one of the more boring deep dark secrets imaginable. Faran is suddenly dealing with chronic pain and tells her mom off and is even more empowered and makes out with her dancer boyfriend. Whatever. Noa gets a physical trainer that might be encouraging her to juice. Tabby cooks up a new scheme to catch her rapist, rather than talking with a counselor about it.

Imogen and Tabby bond over their shared trauma and take a trip to fake-ass Rosewood to talk to fake-ass Eddie Lamb at the fake-ass Radley Hotel. Noa, Faran, and Mouse are stuck in some theater kid after school special nonsense. But don't worry, folks, everything is super empowering and totally on fleek. Straight bussin' fr fr no cap.

This week on the pod, Imogen's been thinking about her mom, and she's got some unkind words for the rotting bitch. Mouse has like five lines. Faran might be the worst.
