Disney’s not at all secret gay agenda… and more on today’s CrossPolitic Daily News Brief. My name is Toby Sumpter and today is Friday, May 6, 2022. We are just days away from the last stop of our CrossPolitic Liberty Tour in Phoenix, Arizona. I would love to meet you in person in Phoenix, on May 19th. I will be joined by Chocolate Knox, the Gabe Rench the Water Boy, Pastor Jeff Durbin of Apologia Church, and Political analyst Delano Squires, who’s made appearances on the Blaze, and the Tucker Carlson show. Tickets are only $20, and we’ll be talking about the Five Stones of True Liberty. Sign up now at crosspolitic.com/libertytour. While headlines have been understandably filled with the Russian-Ukraine War and the Leaked Supreme Court Opinion, signaling the possible overturn of Roe v. Wade, Dr. Peter McCollugh and Dr. Robert Malone are still thankfully on the warpath, to confront and unearth the growing corruption in our country related to medicine and the COVID vaccines. They recently spoke out insisting that Pfizer and the CDC committed fraud for willfully withholding critical data from the public resulting in harm and death to thousands. Dr. Malone recently noted that the CDC has become entirely politicized and is spreading medical misinformation. He says that What they have done is obscene: https://twitter.com/lakovosjustice_/status/1522001676508581889?s=21&t=ZEVdlpIPEtYnHPg3UpfwwQ Dr. Peter McCollough added that the FDA and Pfizer are being sued for failure to release crucial information regarding possible side-effects of the vaccines: https://twitter.com/LakovosJustice_/status/1522001827352432640?s=20&t=nejlukoUzJOyAmP7Eel0xA Play: 0:00-1:09 https://beckernews.com/fda-issues-warning-for-covid-vaccine-due-to-blood-clot-risk-restricts-it-to-adults-18-years-older-44908/ On Thursday The Food and Drug Administration has issued new restrictions on the single-shot Johnson & Johnson Covid vaccine. The Johnson & Johnson shots are now limited to adults 18 years and older or for whom other COVID-19 vaccines are deemed not accessible or clinically appropriate due to the risk of blood clots. “The FDA said its analysis had determined that the risk of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome after the administration of the shot warrants limiting of the authorization,” CNBC reported. “We recognize that the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine still has a role in the current pandemic response in the United States and across the global community,” said Peter Marks, director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. “Our action reflects our updated analysis of the risk of TTS following administration of this vaccine and limits the use of the vaccine to certain individuals,” “The FDA temporarily paused the administration of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine last year after several reported cases of blood clotting,” UPI News noted. “At the time, all six cases were found in women between the ages of 18 and 48. At least one died.” It is not the only serious side effect of Covid vaccines that has been verified this week. An MIT study found that there was an increased risk of side effects among 16-39 year-olds in Israel. “COVID-19 vaccination was ‘significantly associated’ with a 25% jump in emergency medical services (EMS) for heart problems in 16-39 year-olds in Israel, whose vaccination rate is among the world’s highest, according to a peer-reviewed study by MIT researchers,” Just the News reported. Market cap is down $62.6 billion, from $265.3 to $202.7 billion,” Breitbart reports. Disney is currently one of the worst performing stocks in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. Not willing to learn from its mistakes Disney doubled down on stupid. They took on the state of Florida and Governor DeSantis. They fought Florida’s HB 1557 and renamed it the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill even though it was a parental rights bill. The company released a statement against the bill on March 28th 2022. Not content to be universally hated by conservative parents, Disney recently created a diversity and inclusion program called Reimagine Tomorrow. This program includes training on systemic racism, white fragility, white privilege, white saviors, microaggressions, and anti racism. Disney asked employees to fill out a privilege checklist during this program. They also launched racially segregated “affinity groups” at the company’s headquarters. It’s great that Christians and conservatives are finally pushing back, but it’s rather rich that for decades, Christians have supported the stories coming out of Disney. I call it the Disney gospel which is this basic storyline: disobey your parents and in the end they will apologize to you and you will live happily ever after. Yesterday, the Florida Senate voted to revoke special benefits that, since the 1960s, have given Disney the ability to essentially self-govern a vast area around its Disney World theme park and issue tax-free municipal bonds. The state's House, which like its Senate is led by Republicans, is expected to vote for the measure today. It's a rapid unraveling of a long relationship. Last month, Disney C.E.O. Bob Chapek, facing a backlash from employees, spoke out against Florida's so-called “Don't Say Gay law, which prohibits classroom discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity until the third grade, and limits it for older students as well. Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is eying a 2024 presidential run, has hit back, calling the company “Woke Disney,” and saying it no longer deserves its long-held special status. “If Disney wants to pick a fight, they chose the wrong guy,” DeSantis wrote in a recent campaign fund-raising email. Julia Alexander was the perfect guest to come on our show and talk about the state of the streaming industry – we're a couple years into the huge shift to streaming entertainment in Hollywood, and it's clear the streamers are here to stay. Apple just won the Oscar for Best Picture for a film it bought out of Sundance called Coda. Amazon now owns MGM. Netflix is investing in games and hinting at advertising for the first time. One idea that comes up on Decoder again and again is that how we distribute media has a huge influence on the media itself – and we talked about what kinds of movies and shows are getting made now that the streamers are here to stay. In our previous podcast, Part I, we chronicled two years of a pandemic that was highlighted by Covid, the Black Lives Movement, and the Presidential Certification by Congress. Titled similarly, this podcast is Part II, but is now called the hastening fall of Bob Chapek, not the long fall. We now move into the last three months of 2023, which in some ways has been nearly as turbulent as the preceding two years. Decisions in years past to support Republican members of the Florida Legislature have come back to haunt Disney as Governor DeSantis has sought to sign into law a bill referred by many as "Don't Say Gay". We will make sense of all of these events, and why they have unravelled the way they have. We will revisit the role of Bob Chapek as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, and how an organization that promises to be more active in matters of diversity, equity and inclusion can at times be so far away from the goal. And finally, as this is a Disney at Work podcast, we'll offer some thoughts as to what these events mean to you and me and to not only our own workforce experience, but our personal lives. Join us for The Hastening Fall of Bob Chapek, and Disney's Long Road to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Part II.

Much of this has been played out not just during a time of Covid, but during a time frame that stretches from awareness that Black Lives Matter to the present "Don't Say Gay" legislation happening. On this week's show, Disneyland pros, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. Exploring the Science and Future of the Reservation System. Maximizing profits is the goal for every business. Disney happens to already be masterful at separating people from their money - add the repeated mentions of their "yield management" strategy and "demand-based pricing" from Bob Chapek and Disney brass - and it appears clear the pricing strategy for both admissions and even attractions may be changing. But to what end? Is the current reservation system performing at an optimal level resulting in Disney maximizing profits? Almost certainly not considering its infancy and recent times. If that is the case, changes are to be expected and it's very reasonable to even expect seemingly radical changes. Could reservations and/or the Magic Key Pass be terminated? Could we see Ticket allotments? Ala carte attraction fees? Variable pricing ala airline seats? Is the 1:00 pm Park Hopper rule here to stay? What celebrities have we run into at the Parks? Where would we love to see a permanent live stream camera at Disneyland?Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor The Love Bug, The Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh, Splash, The Old Mill, the Multiplane Camera, The Swiss Family Treehouse, and Man in Space in this week in Disney history. I have been to the Galactic Starcruiser, more on that next week!   In The News: Ryan: Shazam 2 Will Now Open Against Avatar 2, And That Is A Very Bad IdeaIs it a bad or brilliant idea? Peter: The Bob Chapek Fiasco:On February 25, the Florida House of Representatives passed the “Don't Say Gay” bill, which would ban lessons about sexual orientation. Critics of the bill have claimed that it is created to stigmatize marginalized students and lead to bullying and attacks. People like President Biden and former Disney head Bob Iger came out against the bill publicly.  Eyes were on Disney, as the company has such a large foothold in Florida Disney has been taking heat for declining to release a statement about the bill and for donating money (about $200,000) to statewide elected officials who supported the bill.  Chapek told castmemebers that he didn't release a statement on the bill because "they are often weaponized by one side or the other to further divide and inflame."  “I want to be crystal clear: I and the entire leadership team unequivocally stand in support of our LGBTQ+ employees, their families, and their communities. And, we are committed to creating a more inclusive company — and world,” Chapek wrote in a memo to staff. “We all share the same goal of a more tolerant, respectful world. Where we may differ is in the tactics to get there. And because this struggle is much bigger than any one bill in any one state, I believe the best way for our company to bring about lasting change is through the inspiring content we produce, the welcoming culture we create, and the diverse community organizations we support.” Rafael: Disney Censors 'Overtly Gay Affection' In Movies, According To Pixar EmployeesA public letter from “the LGBTQIA+ employees of Pixar, and their allies" went viral. "We at Pixar have personally witnessed beautiful stories, full of diverse characters, come back from Disney corporate reviews shaved down to crumbs of what they once were," the letter says. "Nearly every moment of overtly gay affection is cut at Disney's behest, regardless of when there is protest from both the creative teams and executive leadership at Pixar." Witney: Disney CEO Bob Chapek Gives Weak Apology To Employees For His Silence On Florida Anti-Gay BillLate last week, Bob Chapek issued a public apology to the LGBTQIA+ employees working for Disney, and announced a halt to any and all political donations the company would make in the state of Florida.    Not going to read his whole statement but I think its fair to say this is being seen as too late and too little. On today's Breitbart News Daily podcast - Disney hypocrisy - now the company is protesting  Florida's Parental Rights in Education bill, which is heading to Gov. Ron DeSantis' desk. This is the same Disney that filmed 'Mulan' in a city that houses a slave labor camp in China. Crickets on that, but now loud and clear about Florida. Disney's fake outrage is toward a bill that would limit discussions of sexual orientation and gender identity in schools. The company felt heat internally and now CEO Bob Chapek has decided to go public. So woke, again! Jerome breaks it down. Plus, another record day for gas prices across the country. What's Pres. Biden's end game? Our guest today is Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) and our caller of the day, Kim from Ohio, says her trucking company is in peril because of the price of fuel.
