AI isn't coming. It's here. And whether you're using it or avoiding it… it's already shaping your life.In Episode 83, Drew and Jimmy have a grounded, real-world conversation about artificial intelligence — cutting through the fear, hype, and sci-fi narratives to ask a simple question:Is AI a tool… a trap… or the next leap in human evolution? From dismissing it as “Google on steroids” to realizing it's already integrated into email, marketing, business strategy, and daily life — this episode walks through the awakening. They break down:Why AI is comparable to the Industrial Revolution and the rise of the internetHow avoiding it could put you at a disadvantageThe real risk of over-reliance and cognitive lazinessAI as predictive modeling — not consciousness (yet)Imposter syndrome when using AI creativelyDeepfakes, misinformation, and the responsibility of discernmentWhy AI is only as powerful as the intention behind your promptsThis isn't fear-based doom talk. It's about awareness.AI will not replace your consciousness. But it will amplify your inputs. If you feed it fear, it will reflect fear.If you feed it clarity, it will refine clarity. The question isn't whether AI is good or bad.The question is:Will you use it consciously — or be shaped by it unconsciously?

The Art of Sales, Self-Awareness and Scaling Featuring Dr Muddassir Ahmed (SCM DOJO) and Rachael Jackson (WIBN Birmingham) Produced with the aid of AI In this episode of ScaleUp Radio Shorts, Kevin Brent and Louise Blunt reflect on two powerful – and very different – scaling journeys. On one side, Dr Muddassir Ahmed, founder of SCM DOJO, who built a global AI-enabled learning platform from scratch. On the other, Rachael Jackson, who chose a franchise route with WIBN Birmingham to create structure, community and flexibility – while building her passion project, Array of Light. Two contrasting models. One shared truth: scaling demands self-awareness, discipline and resilience. Sales Is Not Optional Muddassir learned a hard lesson early: You can outsource HR. You can outsource accounting. You can outsource marketing. But you cannot outsource sales as a founder. Despite being highly technical and data-driven, he had to personally master enterprise sales – including sending 72 emails over 18 months to land a major global brand. The takeaway? Polite persistence wins. Enterprise sales cycles are long. And founders must own the conversation. Cash Flow Is Reality Rachael's scaling journey exposed a different challenge. Moving from corporate retail into a franchise networking model meant adjusting to the unpredictability of SME payments. Her response? Save upfront Take no salary for 12 months Prioritise reinvestment and resilience It is a disciplined approach that many founders underestimate. Self-Awareness as a Strategic Advantage Rachael openly discussed being diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD traits in adulthood. Instead of seeing this as a weakness, she built systems around it: Time-blocked email checking Turning off notifications Choosing tools designed for dyslexic thinkers Delegating dense information into top-line bullet points Self-awareness became a scaling tool. Meanwhile, Muddassir applies "lean accountability" and daily stand-ups to manage a global team across time zones, backed by documented SOPs. Different personalities. Same principle: structure enables scale. AI – Tool or Transformation? Muddassir is building agentic AI into SCM DOJO – not just generative AI that writes text, but AI agents that: Plan Analyse Execute workflows Run forecasting models Evaluate supplier responses Yet even with advanced AI, he still had to build human relationships the hard way. AI enhances. It does not replace resilience. Two Definitions of Success Muddassir wants SCM DOJO to become the industry standard for supply chain learning. Rachael defines success as happiness, impact and helping women grow in confidence. Different ambitions. Both completely valid. The One Key Thing Scaling is not about copying someone else's model. It is about knowing yourself, managing your cash carefully, building repeatable systems, and staying resilient long enough to win. Downing Street has expressed outrage at changes introduced by the social media platform, X, to address concerns about its AI tool Grok. Also: Iran's Revolutionary Guard has warned it won't tolerate the current unrest in the country, as protests continue for a thirteenth day. And the National Grid says it is working to restore power to tens of thousands of homes after Storm Goretti brought heavy snow to parts of Wales and England.
Some people have used Grok to create sexualised images of children and women, and Downing Street has today accused social media site X, which runs the AI tool, of "insulting the victims of misogyny and sexual violence" with its response to criticism. The company said it has now limited the use of this image function to those who pay a monthly fee.We hear from the mother of one of Elon Musk's children who claims the AI tool was used to create sexual images of her as a child. Also on the programme: President Trump warns Iran's regime against violently suppressing protests; NASA astronauts forced to return home due to medical issue on board the International Space Station.

AI tools aren't optional anymore. They're the competitive advantage that will separate businesses that scale in 2026 from those that quietly fall behind. While most companies are still relying on outdated methods — bigger teams, slower execution, manual marketing, and “more content” — the fastest-growing businesses are doing something very different:They're using AI to create leverage, speed, and demand at scale. In this episode, I break down where the market is going, why AI-powered systems are becoming the new baseline for growth, and how early adopters are already pulling ahead — faster, leaner, and with far less effort. This is also the episode where I officially introduce Neuro AI — a Neuromarketing-powered AI tool built to replace an entire demand, content, and conversion team.Inside this episode, you'll learn:Why AI is the real growth advantage in 2026 (and not just a productivity hack)The difference between AI that creates noise vs. AI that creates salesWhy speed of execution now matters more than strategy aloneHow to outpace competitors who are still hiring, outsourcing, and waitingThe biggest mistakes business owners will make by using AI the wrong wayHow to use AI to create demand before you pitch or sellWhat to focus on now to scale faster with fewer peopleHow Neuro AI gives you leverage while others are still stuck in old modelsThis episode isn't about working harder or doing more. It's about moving faster, executing better, and positioning your business ahead of the curve while others are still catching up.If you want 2026 to be the year your business pulls away from the competition instead of blending in — start here.

Climate change has amplified the hydrologic cycle in Minnesota. Our more erratic precipitation patterns are driving faster transitions from drought to floods. So, can AI-driven forecasts help predict floods on rivers like the Mississippi? “We need to make innovations in these sorts of models and in our flood forecasting in general,” said Zac McEachran, a research hydrologist from the University of Minnesota. McEachran talked with MPR News meteorologist Paul Huttner about a new flood forecasting model that uses AI to improve local flood predictions. You've got seventeen AI tools scattered across your browser tabs right now, don't you? Yet somehow you're still manually doing the same repetitive tasks that drove you to purchase those licenses in the first place. Whether you're a solopreneur building your empire or leading a team trying to eliminate admin drag, here's the brutal truth - most entrepreneurs are picking AI tools like they're shopping for shiny objects at a tech bazaar, grabbing whatever looks innovative without any strategic thinking behind it. Kevin Williams, CEO and Co-Founder of an AI enablement company, has cracked the code that most of us struggle with: building a daily workflow using tools like n8n, Gamma, and Whisper Flow that actually simplifies operations instead of complicating them. This guy has taken his company philosophy of "adventure, education, automation" and applied it to create a personal tech stack that's so effective, he literally can't imagine working without these specific applications. In this episode, Kevin pulls back the curtain on exactly which tools made the cut and why - plus the strategic thinking that separates useful AI from expensive digital clutter. You'll discover his decision-making framework for evaluating new tools, how his essential stack works together to create seamless automation, and why fewer, better-integrated tools beat sprawling collections of disconnected AI applications. Because at the end of the day, it's not about having more AI tools - it's about having the right tools working together like a well-oiled machine to reclaim your time and focus on what actually drives results. The AI Hat Podcast host Mike Allton asked Kevin Williams about: ✨ Strategic Tool Selection Framework - Learn the decision-making process Kevin uses to separate genuinely useful AI tools from shiny object syndrome purchases. ✨ Essential Daily Workflow Stack - Discover the specific tools Kevin can't live without and how they work together to create seamless automation. ✨ Quality Over Quantity Approach - Understand why fewer, better-integrated tools beat a sprawling collection of disconnected AI applications. Too many business owners are trying to use AI as a shortcut to fire people instead of using it to multiply the output of their best people. And that mindset is killing their growth. Matt Leitz has been building automation systems for 7- and 8-figure companies long before AI went mainstream. He's seen inside the machines powering 9-figure brands… and the truth is simple: automation isn't optional anymore. If you want to scale, you need a business that compounds output without requiring more of your time. Matt breaks down how to use AI as leverage — not as a crutch. He shares where founders get stuck, which systems create the highest ROI, how to turn funnels profitable even when ads lose money on day one, and how to build automations that drive revenue for years. If you've been trying to figure out how to integrate AI without breaking your business, this conversation will completely reset your framework. Why B2B Marketers Hesitate to Choose an AI Tool and How to Move Forward with ConfidenceIn this episode, Donna Peterson talks about the real fears many B2B marketers face when thinking about using AI tools and large language models. She explains why choosing an AI tool can feel overwhelming and why many industrial brands, executive education programs, and companies with long sales cycles hesitate to get started.Donna highlights three concerns she hears most often:• Not knowing which large language model to choose• Worrying that AI will harm personal relationships• Feeling unsure about learning what seems like a new technologyShe explains that tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot all work in similar ways, and the key is understanding how to guide them. Donna reinforces that AI should not replace personal connection. Instead, it should give marketers more time to build trust by handling routine tasks in the background.Listeners will learn how large language models respond to clear direction, why “garbage in, garbage out” still applies, and how to start using AI safely without risking their brand voice. Donna also discusses the increasing interest in AI agents and why companies need to understand LLMs before creating customized agents for different departments. The episode includes simple steps B2B teams can take to start using AI immediately, along with practical guidance for industrial marketers who want to use AI without losing the human touch that builds long-term relationships. These insights support marketers looking for clarity on how to start with AI, how to protect their brand voice, and how to use AI tools responsibly in B2B marketing.Episode Chapters:00:00 Introduction and Purpose00:56 Common Fears of B2B Brands Using AI01:29 Choosing the Right AI Tool02:38 Overcoming the Fear of Learning New Technology03:23 Maintaining Personal Connections with AI05:20 Deep Dive into Large Language Models06:19 The Importance of AI Training in Corporations08:01 The Role of AI Agents in Business10:38 Practical Tips for Using AI Effectively14:38 The Risks of Relying Solely on Software Platforms19:29 Final Thoughts and EncouragementIf you found this episode helpful, please subscribe and rate the show. A new AI navigation tool will provide a digital front door to mental health services, according to the Minister responsible. The government says a big barrier to accessing mental health services is not knowing what is available, where to go and who to talk to. The online tool using artificial intelligence will allow people to see what is on offer in their area and in some cases allow them to book directly. Minister for Mental Health, Matt Doocey spoke to Lisa Owen.

Do Business. Do Life. — The Financial Advisor Podcast — DBDL
Live from Future Proof, I sat down with Jason Early, Founder and CEO of RISR — an AI platform that's helping financial advisors rethink how they serve business-owner clients. Here's the truth: for most entrepreneurs, their business is their biggest asset — but most advisors just ask, “What's it worth?” jot down a guess, and move on. Jason and his team built RISR around a simple belief: business owners deserve better advice, and the advisors who serve them need better tools to give it.RISR connects directly to a company's financials, uses AI to generate real-time valuations, and gives advisors the insights they need to guide clients through growth, succession, and exit planning. It helps advisors have the right conversations — earlier — so they're there long before the liquidity event, not chasing it after the fact.In this conversation, Jason shares how top advisors are using RISR to win business-owner clients, deepen relationships, and deliver the kind of advice that builds lasting trust.3 of the biggest insights from Jason Early…#1.) How Top Advisors Are Using RISR to Stand OutAdvisors aren't just running valuations, they're using RISR to open doors, deepen trust, and win business-owner clients long before a liquidity event. By showing up with real data on what the client's business is worth, advisors shift the conversation from “asset management” to “business strategy.” It's helping them justify planning fees, spark succession discussions, and position themselves as the quarterback for every major decision that impacts the owner's wealth and legacy.#2.) The Truth About Business Valuation (and Why It's Usually Wrong)Most business owners miscalculate what their company is worth — often by millions. Jason breaks down why, from owner dependency and client concentration to “country club math” and non-normalized EBITDA. He also explains how objective valuation data brings alignment between partners and families, turning tough money talks into clarity.#3.) What Every Advisor Should Know About Succession & Exit PlanningBusiness owners rarely plan their exits well. Jason explains how advisors can use valuation insights to build readiness conversations, prevent conflict between partners, and even influence deal outcomes. These are high-trust, high-value planning opportunities that position advisors as long-term strategic partners — not just investment managers.SHOW NOTEShttps://bradleyjohnson.com/142FREE GIFT + JOIN THE DBDL INSIDER CREWToday's Gift: 30 minute 1:1 coaching call with BradAre you a financial advisor who feels stuck, needs help, or simply wants to have a conversation with Brad? Strategic pricing is a growth lever, not a calculation. Companies that align price with customer value typically see 15-25% revenue growth in year one. Key Pricing Psychology: The 3-Tier Model: Used by 70% of B2B SaaS companies, this model leverages psychology. The premium tier makes the middle tier (where most profit is captured) look like the "reasonable" choice. Persona-Based Pricing: Design pricing around the customer's jobs-to-be-done rather than linearly scaling features. Dan Balcauski - https://www.producttranquility.com/
