We are still in the thick of the pandemic, the government has abandoned us, and the holiday season is here. While there is a lot to be mad about, we wanted to highlight local businesses who could use your support during the holiday season (if you are able). This list was co-created with our listeners. Most of the individuals and businesses also have an online store, so you can stay safe while shopping local. We know this is a tough time. Please make sure to take care of yourself. This is it. The last two years of two dozen candidates coming in and out of our fine state, jocking for position, throwing jabs, has now come to its end point (well, for us anyway). That is right, the Nevada Democratic Caucus is upon us. We talk about the caucus, redistricting, and the dirty political secrets of our state (ok, not really) with Sondra Cosgrove. Welcome to our 2nd Annual Nevada Day episode! Unless it is your first rodeo in Nevada, you know that the real Nevada Day is October 31st. Last year we tried our hand on a comedic re-telling of our history, this year we tell you about some of the best things Nevada has to offer. Do your remember how many letters there are in the alphabet? Well we endeavor to each answer our favorite things about Nevada while going through the alphabet. It can be a challenge to find an answer with X when we each have 4 or 5 for G.Our challenge for you is to create your own ABCs of Nevada. Share with us on Social Media, or writing down on a napkin and give to us while we are eating tacos or drinking coffee at one of the many fine establishments around town.We want to hear from you! This episode has been months in the making...but don’t let that fool you, we are just as ridiculous as ever! Michael gives us a lowdown of the history of professional sports in Southern Nevada along with commentary on a variety of other Nevada & sport topics...best of all, we go to a Las Vegas Aviators game together! We admit that we are not the most tech savvy of podcasts. But, that does not stop us from wanting to learn more about technology and how to better use it (or fear it - in some cases). On this episode we are joined by our first out of town guest, Joe Murdock, who is a Cyber Security Instructor in the Business School at the University of Colorado Denver. He was in town to attend a couple conferences including the world famous DefCon hacker convention that takes place in Las Vegas each year. Joe gives us a few reasons to be worried about technology, but also provides some great strategies to help us stay safe.
