Armed with a studio full of synthesizers and powerful production software, many electronic musicians will create sonic images of vast, cold, cosmic space. Others will conjure up infectious sequencer rhythms, and attract a high energy crowd with electronic dance music. Still others, following the great European symphonic tradition, will electrify the orchestra, or create ambient electronic soundscapes. A smaller group find inspiration in the environment, incorporating the sounds of nature in their music. But perhaps the most unusual are inspired by the supernatural—the worlds of myth and legend, literature and folklore. They create music for spirits, fairies, sprites and elves, wood and water nymphs, elementals, and other invisible denizens of the magic forest. On this transmission of Hearts of Space, it's a magical journey in supernatural spaces, on a program called "ENCHANTED LANDS." Music is by LEMONGRASS, ISHQ, DESENSITIZED, KEVIN BRAHENY FORTUNE, THE AMNIS INITIATIVE, RICHARD ROSS, and ALPHA WAVE MOVEMENT. As Ethereum's roadmap shifted to a rollup-centric approach, a plethora of rollups have been launched, to the point where L3s have been conceptualized. Celestia sits at the forefront of modularity as it aims to replace the monolithic blockchain architecture with specialized layers that are more suited for scalability and customization. As a result, Celestia strictly focuses on data availability to accommodate the recent rollup expansion, as data storage represents the largest portion of fees on L2s. #571 Expert Guidance for Managing Caterpillars and Overwintering Lemongrass

The veg grower podcast

In the latest episode of the Veg Grower Podcast, host Richard delves into a variety of gardening topics, offering practical advice and updates from his home garden. The episode also features a culinary segment with Chef Scott, who shares a recipe for Vada Pav, an Indian street food dish. This blog post will break down the key themes and tips discussed in the episode, providing actionable advice for gardening enthusiasts and home cooks alike. Managing Caterpillars on Brassicas Caterpillars can be a significant pest for brassicas, especially during warmer days in winter. Richard shares several strategies to manage these pests effectively: Regular Inspections and Manual Removal Frequent Checks: Regularly inspect your brassicas for signs of caterpillars or eggs. Early detection is crucial. Manual Removal: Remove any caterpillars or eggs you find by hand. Richard feeds them to his chickens, which enjoy the treat. Encouraging Beneficial Wildlife Birds: Attract birds like thrushes and small birds to your garden. They are natural predators of caterpillars. Predatory Wasps: Consider introducing predatory wasps, which can help control caterpillar populations. Using Netting Fine Mesh Netting: Use fine mesh netting to cover your brassicas. This prevents cabbage white butterflies from laying eggs on your plants. Avoiding Bird Entanglement: Be cautious with netting to ensure birds do not get caught. Planting Sacrificial Plants Nasturtiums: Plant nasturtiums as a trap crop. They attract caterpillars away from your brassicas and are also edible and visually appealing. Applying Nematodes Nematodes: Use nematodes, tiny parasitic worms, to control caterpillar populations. They require reapplication and can be costly but are effective. Overwintering Lemongrass Richard also addresses a listener's question about overwintering lemongrass. Here are his tips: Indoor Relocation: Move lemongrass pots indoors to a sunny spot to protect them from frost. Mulching: If planted in the ground, apply a thick layer of mulch around the base to insulate the roots. Watering: Reduce watering during winter to prevent root rot, but ensure the soil remains slightly moist. Home Garden Updates Richard shares updates from his home garden, highlighting his proactive approach to garden management: Winter Crops Planting: Richard has planted sprouts, kale, and cabbages to sustain him through the winter months. Garden Bed Preparation: He has removed some fennel and other plants to make room for these winter crops. Summer Raspberries Overgrowth Management: Richard plans to thin out his summer raspberry plants to prevent overgrowth and improve grass growth underneath. Variety Experimentation: He is considering experimenting with different raspberry varieties better suited for home gardening. Tomatoes Blight Management: Richard grows a mix of blight-resistant and non-blight-resistant tomato varieties. He emphasizes the importance of preventing the spread of blight between different gardening locations. Year-Round Gardening Continuous Gardening: Richard believes in growing food year-round and rejects the notion of packing up for winter. He encourages listeners to adopt this philosophy. Wildlife Considerations Balancing Tidiness and Wildlife: While Richard identifies as an edible gardener, he acknowledges the importance of allowing some natural elements to remain in the garden for the benefit of local wildlife. Culinary Segment: Vada Pav Recipe by Chef Scott Chef Scott shares a delicious recipe for Vada Pav, a popular Indian street food made with spiced potato patties. Here's a brief overview of the recipe: Ingredients Potatoes Green chilies Ginger Garlic Mustard seeds Curry leaves Turmeric Salt Gram flour (besan) Water Bread rolls Instructions Prepare the Potato Filling: Boil and mash the potatoes.

1GB blocks are coming. Since November last year, 20 rollups have launched according to Celenium, the Celestia block explorer and those rollups have since published over 75GB of data. Following the Lemongrass upgrade, Celestia will aim to execute the roadmap across three different core tracks with the broader vision of enabling end-user verifiability to the fullest extent possible. 1. Abundant Blockspace: Targeting 1GB blocks to scale for a wide range of rollups. 2. Verifiable Blockspace: Ensures blockspace can be verified by any user, on any device. 3. Frictionless Blockspace: Reduces friction for rollup developers and users. Celestia being inherently modular means the chain isn't limited by execution layer overhead or state bloat. This flexibility allows for high-throughput apps, speeding up existing crypto applications and enabling new possibilities, like fully onchain apps. In today's special podcast, we're diving into Celestia's roadmap and what it means for the future of the modular ecosystem with Nick White. Nick, the COO of Celestia, walks us through the next phase of their roadmap. One of the most significant shifts is the move from 2MB to 1GB blocks, entering the "fiber-optic" era of DA, where abundant block space could transform onchain possibilities. ...However, do we really need all this blockspace? Where are the novel apps? Will Celestia transition to validity proof sampling? How will Celestia make it easy for anyone to run a light node? These questions and many more answered in today's pod as we break down the key takeaways from Nick's insights and what they mean for the modular ecosystem. A Parenting Resource for Children’s Behavior and Mental Health

Using essential oils as a natural remedy has become more common to help people relax. As a matter of fact, research studies show that essential oils improve attention, cognitive functioning, mood and lower stress levels. If you're seeking natural solutions for relaxation and improved mental health and brain function, this episode is for you. Learn more about the use of essential oils and how they contribute to reducing stress, anxiety, and depression while promoting relaxation and emotional well-being.How essential oils impact the brain and reduce stress. Essential oils are indeed essential for me as I always carry peppermint with me wherever I go. I even have peppermint and lemon on my desk to help me focus. Peppermint is a personal favorite because the smell wakes me up and gets me alert helping me to do many things. The good thing about these essential oils is that they both have antimicrobial properties. Research studies show us that they can improve attention, cognitive functioning, mood and lower stress levels insofar as they impact our limbic system which is the part of our brain that is our alert system in our autonomic nervous system. As such, essential oils can be considered as a quick fix. Essential oils can also influence the release of certain neurotransmitters in the brain which also play a crucial role in regulating various physiological and psychological processes, including mood, emotions, cognition, and stress response. However, we have to keep in mind that the effects of essential oils may vary.Regular use of essential oils can help keep the nervous system in check. As the saying goes, consistency is key and just like biofeedback, PEMF and magnesium, you have to use these things on a regular basis. How to use essential oils.Essential oils can be used in various ways. There are essential oils that you can put on your skin while others can be diffused through diffusers that have been of popular use in offices, at home and at the spa. This method allows the aroma of the essential oils to be inhaled, influencing emotions, mood, and overall well-being. There are even essential oils that can be ingested by putting them inside little capsules or by incorporating it in a dish. It is important to be cautious when considering internal use of essential oils, as not all of them are suitable for ingestion. This should be done with the supervision of a qualified aromatherapist or healthcare professional who is an expert in essential oil safety. It must also be noted that when you are applying them to the skin, they need to be with a carrier oil. Carrier oils, such as coconut oil or jojoba oil help dilute the essential oil and reduce the risk of skin irritation. I have personally encountered some cases wherein people got burnt spots from putting these essential oils directly without a carrier oil.The best essential oils for mental health.Based on research, the top three best essential oils for mental health are lavender, lemon and bergamot which have consistently been found to be effective in lowering stress levels. Rose and geranium have also been clinically proven to support mood. I have observed that most kids love the smell of peppermint. I can even recall this kid from years ago who asked me if he could take home the diffuser with him and put it right under his face to make him feel good. Later on, he made his mom get him a diffuser which has significantly helped improve his overall mood and focus. Lemongrass is also a good essential oil. It smells so pleasant which is why we use it in our office. As for oregano, you can put it in your food or perhaps a little capsule and ingest it. On the other hand, black pepper is effective at lowering inflammation.Consider incorporating natural solutions like essential oils into your routine and embark on a journey of...

Bug bites can be a serious issue during the Summer months, especially if you live anywhere near water. It can become more than a minor inconvenience when one small bite grows into a larger problem like Lyme Disease or West Nile. These tiny critters can pack a real punch to our bodies and I want you to be protected! The risk to using a a product that doesn't work is much higher for bug repellent than deodorant or laundry detergent. The latter might not leave your clothes bleach white,  but the former could pose a serious risk to your life.  When I moved to Virginia, the natural living part of me wanted to make my own insect repellent.  But the environmental toxins attorney in me had to do a two-week deep dive on all of the research that is out there on bug sprays and insect repellent and DEET and all of it.  Let's set you up for a safe and joyful Summer with this weeks episode on what insect repellents actually work, without all the toxins. Wendy's DIY Bug Spray In a 2 ounce glass spray bottle, add 7 drops each of Citronella, Purification, Cedarwood, Lavender and Lemongrass. Sprinkle in a pinch of salt (to help the oils mix with the water) and fill with distilled water. Spray on any exposed skin while outside and re apply every 60 minutes.   *Make half the recipe for kids under 6Purchase all the oils here.Toxin Free ShopFind my top insect repellent picks.Check out the shownotes for more resources here!If you enjoyed this weeks' episode, please: Leave a a positive review or rating wherever you listen Shop toxin free products on my Toxin Free Shopping Guide Download your free Tossing the Toxins Guide Post a screenshot and what you loved and and tag me on instagram @wendy_toxinfreeish Want to ask me a question to get answered on the podcast? What's there to be said about Ann Ahmed? She's a force of nature. Her latest restaurant – the Minneapolis-based Gai Noi – has once again proven that she is a master at the art of restaurants. Ever since she opened Lemon Grass Thai in the mid-2000s, she has drastically improved her standards of food and aesthetics. Lemon Grass has since closed, but the two places that came after it, Lat 14 and Khâluna, have blown people away with their style, grace, and execution. The increasing level of quality has led to both regional and national recognition. It might seem flashy and cool, but there is a driving force here: her heritage. Born in Laos, Ann moved to Minnesota at a young age. Even though she spent most of her life in the U.S., she continues to explore and honor her Laotian heritage through the food she serves and the experiences she creates. And so, it was such an honor to sit down with Ann and really explore the connection she has to her heritage and how that reveals itself in the corners of her restaurants. -Follow Tim on Twitter and Instagram.-Be sure to support Mucci's and Saint Dinette.
