There's no doubt that occupancy rates are declining for Airbnb properties amid a supply increase, but whether we're entering an Airbnb apocalypse or just seeing a heated market moderate depends on who you ask. Nick Gerli, CEO of Reventure Consulting, began a viral debate over the future of Airbnb revenue when he tweeted a chart based on data from short-term rental analytics firm Alltherooms, which depicted average revenue per listing falling up to 47.6% in some cities. Gerli suggested the trend would impact the housing market, inducing a “wave of forced selling from Airbnb owners” in the affected cities. Kolmekümne üheksas imeline külaline on Gerli Järv. "Sündinud ja kasvanud olen Vana-Vigalas. Siit edasi läksin Noarootsi Gümnaasiumi ja hiljem õppisin Tallinna Ülikoolis Reklaami ja meediat. Töötasin pea 10 aastat Eesti Päevalehe reklaami osakonnas, algul müüjana ja hiljem seda juhtides. See teadmine sõi mind sisemiselt juba pikemalt, et olen vales kohas, teen valet asja, aga mul puudus igasugune äratundmine, et mis see nn minu tee võiks olla. Venitasin kummi pea 2 aastat, kuni lõpuks tõusin lihtsalt püsti, andsin lahkumisavalduse ja müüsin kõik maha, et lubada endal mõnda aega lihtsalt olla. Tekitasin vaakumi, et miski uus saaks mu ellu tulla. Ma olin raamatu järgi selleks ajaks juba natuke joogat teinud. Õde kinkis selle ja nägin, et see aitas mul tööstressiga natuke paremini toime tulla. Juhtus nii, et täpselt järgmisel päeval peale EPList lahkumist, läksime õe ja emaga Ashtanga jooga tutvustavale päevale. Sealt sai alguse igapäevane jooga rutiin. Sellest sain kohe aru, et see praktika mulle sobib, aga ma ei arvanud, et siit saab alguse minu uus elu. Ma lihtsalt lootsin, et jooga abil saan aru, mida mina olen tulnud siia ellu tegema. Kuna ma olen alati olnud pigem eraklik, siis ma soovisin oma praktikat sedavõrd täiustada, et saaksin kodus joogatada. Siit tekkis mõte minna jooga õpetaja koolitusele. Elu sättis nii, et sattusime Ereliga Larry Schultzi (keda teatakse ka kui The bad man of Ashtanga Yoga ) Ashtanga Vinyasa koolitusele Tais. Kohtumine temaga oli elumuutev kogemus ja siiani täidab mind tohutu tänutunne, et me temaga kokku sattusime. Ta lahkus siit ilmast mõned kuud peale seda koolitust, aga tema toetust tunnen siiani. Isegi sealt koolituselt tagasi koju saabudes ei olnud mul tunnet, et hakkan oma jooga kogemust teistega jagama. Kui Ereli ei oleks initsieerinud tasakesi teistele oma teadmiste jagamisega, siis ma oleks kindlasti vähemalt esialgu valinud ainult omaette joogatamise. 2011 suvel tegime Tallinna pargis üle 40 tasuta joogatunni, lihtsalt soovides oma joogarõõmu teistega jagada ja samas sain nii ise aru, et ma tahangi päriselt seda teha. Ja kui pargis enam joogatada ei saanud, siis avasime pargis käinute soovil Joogaruumi siseruumides. Seega täitub meil sel aastal 10 aastat. Kümme aastat täis hingamist, asana praktikat, meditatsiooni, toitumise kohandamist oma kehale sobilikuks, lahti laskmist, kohalolekut kui ka teadlikku tunnete vaatlemist. Ma siiani täiega naudin seda teekonda ja seepärast jätkan ka jagamist. Ja matil jagan vaid seda, mida ise praktiseerin. Jagan oma kogemust. Lisaks Vinyasa joogale juhendan üle 7 aasta ka Yin jooga tunde. Minu jaoks täiendavad need kaks joogastiili nii hästi teineteist, aitavad meil luua sügavamat ja teadlikumat kontakti oma sisemise nais- ja meesaspektiga, olemise ja liikumisega, inspiratsiooni ja loomisega. Viimased 5 aastat olen kulgenud rohkem Yin energias, võimalik, et see on olnud ettevalmistus vast alanud Veevalaja ajastule. Pole pikalt tundnud kõige vähematki soovi teha asju väljapoole. Esialgu see muutis mu pisut rahutuks ja ärevaks, sest ma tundusin iseendalegi ääretult passiivne, aga keha ütles, et see peab nii olema ja sellest tekkis usaldus, et ju see vaikuse aeg on vajalik. Ja kuigi mu praktika matil on viimastel aastatel olnud tagasihoidlikum kui varem, sest ma sain vahepeal 2 tütart, siis väljapool matti on olnud mul sellevõrra intensiivsem joogatamise aeg.
