On the first day of each month, we release Grace & Knowledge, a more in-depth article from Paul that allows him to expand on biblical truths beyond his weekly Wednesday's Word. Our prayer is that this resource helps you “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen” (2 Peter 3:18).In this month's Grace & Knowledge, Paul explains how Christians must hold together their identity as both sinners and children of grace, finding hope in God's forgiveness, power, and ongoing work of deliverance through Christ.
Week 4 of the Women of Grace series takes us into one of the most overlooked and uncomfortable stories in Scripture: Tamar in Genesis 38. Pastor Jamie Wright shows how God's grace continues working even through disappointment, brokenness, failure, and messy situations. On Pentecost Sunday, we are reminded that God still fulfills His promises, still pours out His Spirit, and still redeems complicated stories through Jesus Christ.

In this sermon from John 4:16–19, we see Jesus as the searching Savior who is “full of grace and truth.” As Christ lovingly exposes the Samaritan woman's deepest sins, we are reminded that Jesus does not ignore sin, nor does He crush sinners with shame. Instead, He shines the light of truth into the darkest places of our hearts in order to lead us to repentance, forgiveness, and transformation. This message explores how Christ confronts our “keystone sins” with truth while drawing sinners to Himself with remarkable grace and compassion. In Week 3 of the Women of Grace series, Pastor Jamie Wright unpacks the story of Rahab—a woman living behind the walls of Jericho who becomes a powerful picture of God's redeeming grace. This message reveals how grace finds people in hidden places, covers what we cannot fix, and ultimately brings outsiders into God's family. No matter the walls of shame, fear, or failure we build, the Gospel shows that Jesus tears them down and invites us to the table.
Week 2 of the Women of Grace series takes us into the powerful story of Ruth in a message titled, “Grace Brings Us Home” by Pastor Jamie Wright. Through Ruth 1:16-21 and Ephesians 2:19, we see a beautiful picture of loyalty, redemption, and the grace of God that welcomes us into His family. Even in seasons of loss, bitterness, and uncertainty, God is still working to bring His people home. Ruth's story reminds us that grace not only meets us in our brokenness, but also leads us into belonging, purpose, and hope.

We want to try something with you. We're going to ask you a question—and we think we can guess your answer.Ready? Here it is: What is the first hymn that comes to mind?Did you say “Amazing Grace”? If we took a poll, I suspect it would be the number one answer. But why is this hymn so well known? What is so amazing about “Amazing Grace”?This episode, we're starting a new series called Amazing Grace. B.J. Van Kalsbeek kicks us off as we look at a verse from John—an eyewitness of Jesus—who wrote that Jesus came full of grace and truth. We'll also explore a powerful story Jesus told that beautifully demonstrates the grace of God. Any guesses which one? Together, we'll discover a few life-changing truths about God's grace—truths that don't just change us… they change everything. To close today's episode, enjoy a special worship mashup of 'Amazing Grace' and 'Sinking Deep' by the Sunnybrook Worship Team.--WebsiteFacebookInstagramSunday SetlistSunnybrook App (ios)Sunnybrook App (Google)Connect with us!How can we pray for you? In Genesis 19:25-34, we are introduced to Esau and Jacob. Twin boys who battled eachother before they were even born into this world. Looking at each ones character, it's easy to see their humanity and their flaws - one, irreverent and thinking only of today, and the other, scheming and waiting for his chance seize power. Neither of them seem to deserve any of God's grace or mercy and yet one of them does receive it. But why? It's the same reason you and I receive God's grace - because God is good and in control and we are players in His grand plan for humankind. He chooses us for His purpose and plan. We don't get to vote for our favourites to be counted in as God's elect as much as we all want to and as much as we so often strive to. Instead, we are called to trust God in our calling as His children and do our best to walk in His ways and to partner with the Holy Spirit by spreading the gospel wherever and however we can.
Deuteronomy 7:6-11 Ephesians 1:1-14
Grace Revolution, Part 7NOTES
The journey through gravity and grace comes to its final movement here. After gravity, affliction, attention, de-creation, and obedience, we arrive at what has been present all along: grace. Grace is not something we achieve at the end of the journey. It is what meets us in every stage, even when we are unfinished, uncertain, or resistant. It is not a reward for getting it right, but a reality that precedes us. This sermon reflects on what it means to receive grace rather than strive for it. To recognize that even under the pull of gravity, even in our unmaking, we were never outside its reach. Grace does not wait for completion. It meets us exactly where we are.

Is grace actually fair? If we are honest, there is a part of us that bristles at the idea of a lifelong criminal receiving the same heavenly reward as a faithful, lifelong believer. In this midweek message, we explore the "offensive" nature of God's grace through the lens of the criminal hanging on the cross next to Jesus. In this message, we unpack: The Irony of the Cross: While the religious leaders and soldiers mocked Jesus, telling Him to "save Himself," Jesus chose not to save Himself so that He could save you. What Real Faith Looks Like: Proximity to Jesus isn't faith, and mere knowledge isn't faith. True faith is seeing Jesus for who He really is—the King who bleeds for His servants. The Definition of Grace: Grace isn't about justice or getting what we deserve. If we got what we deserved, none of us would reach paradise. Grace is "getting the one thing you need and the last thing you deserve". The Promise of Paradise: Discover what Jesus meant when He told a dying man, "Today you will be with me in paradise," and how He is currently undoing the curse of sin for all who believe. When you look at the cross, who do you see? Do you see a king dying for you, or are you still trying to bring your own "good works" to the table?. If this message encouraged you, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to hear the radical truth of God's grace today.
How do we see others—and ourselves—when pride and judgment cloud our vision? In this sermon, Joshua Clayton examines John 4's encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman to argue that grace fundamentally transforms our perspective. Through the lens of grace, we learn to see ourselves as sinners saved by God's unmerited favor, to recognize others as souls beloved by God rather than categories to judge, and to become stewards of the grace we have received. Pastor Joshua illustrates how this shift in vision—from condemnation to compassion—mirrors Christ's own approach to the broken and outcast. The sermon challenges listeners to identify their "must-needs-go-through" moments and to extend grace daily to those around them, recognizing that a single act of grace can alter the trajectory of someone's eternity.Eastland is a Place to BelongEastland Baptist Church is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Is it possible to follow the rules and still miss the heart of God? Many believers drift toward legalism, measuring themselves and others by external standards while neglecting the transforming power of grace. In Matthew 23:23–28, Pastor John examines Christ's sharp rebuke of the Pharisees, exposing how pride and hypocrisy obscure mercy, faith, and love. Jesus confronts rule-keeping that substitutes for repentance and reveals that grace, not self-righteous virtue, restores sinners and advances the gospel. The message calls listeners to reject fear-driven legalism and extend the same grace they have received, so their lives may reflect God's love to a watching world.Eastland is a Place to BelongEastland Baptist Church is located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sanctification Explained: Sanctification is the ongoing process of becoming more like God, involving a change in one's nature, thoughts, and desires over time, as individuals strive to live in accordance with their covenants. The Role of Grace: Grace is central to understanding both justification and sanctification. It emphasizes that salvation is a gift from God, not solely based on individual works, and that individuals can have confidence in their justified state. Addressing Perfectionism: Many Latter-day Saints struggle with perfectionism, often feeling unworthy despite understanding the doctrine. The conversation highlights the importance of recognizing one’s worth as inherent and not solely based on actions. Mental Health Considerations: The discussion touches on the intersection of mental health and religious beliefs, particularly regarding OCD and scrupulosity, emphasizing the need for compassion and understanding in addressing these issues. Leadership Applications Fostering a Culture of Grace: Leaders can create an environment where members feel secure in their justified state, encouraging them to engage in the gospel without the burden of shame or guilt. Understanding Individual Needs: By recognizing that unmet needs may drive certain behaviors, leaders can approach members with empathy, focusing on support rather than judgment. Promoting Continuous Growth: Leaders should emphasize the importance of striving for sanctification, framing commandments and ordinances as opportunities for growth rather than as mere obligations, thus inspiring members to engage more fully in their spiritual journeys. Life is hard, and sometimes the weight feels like too much to bear. Grace isn't just a gift for your past; it's the strength that carries you forward. God's grace sustains you when you're at your weakest, giving you peace in the middle of chaos and hope in the face of despair. This week, we'll talk about how God's grace meets you in the mess and gives you exactly what you need to keep going. His grace is enough.
What if you didn't have to stay stuck in the same patterns, habits, or regrets? Grace doesn't just forgive your past—it rewrites your future. God's grace has the power to transform you from the inside out, making you into a new creation with a new purpose. This week, we'll explore how grace takes what's broken and makes it beautiful. With grace, you're not defined by your mistakes—you're defined by God's love.
1 Corinthians 1:8-9 |... (God) will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Paul throughout this letter will call out and correct their sin, but he doesn't want to destroy their confidence and assurance. Before addressing all their flaws, he starts with this foundation: “God is faithful. If you believe by faith, you are saved based on grace and nothing else.” In other words, if nothing you did got you saved… then nothing you do will get you unsaved. No good work, no effort, no achievement gained you heaven, so no bad work, no sin, no shortcoming will get you kicked out. Heaven has never been about what we do, or don't do. Heaven has always been about the grace of God. So though we're flawed, God is faithful.
Have you ever felt like you've blown it? Like there's no way back from the mistakes you've made? The story of the Prodigal Son reminds us that grace doesn't wait for you to fix yourself—it runs to meet you in your brokenness. God's grace reaches into the darkest places, offering love and forgiveness without limits. No matter where you've been, no one is beyond the reach of grace. Come and discover the welcome you didn't know was waiting for you.

In Romans 15:14–21, Paul reminds us that we are filled, called, empowered, and sent. God doesn't just save you, He fills you with His goodness, calls you by His grace, empowers you through His Spirit, and sends you out on mission. This message challenges us to see that spiritual maturity isn't about settling down, it's about stepping out. You already have what it takes because God has already placed it inside you. When grace calls, grace equips. And when you stay connected to the Spirit, His power flows through you.Whether you're in ministry, at work, or just trying to live out your faith day to day, this message will remind you that your purpose is bigger than your comfort. Like Paul, may we all say, “Here I am, send me.”
Gifted By Grace |GRACE WINS AGAIN |Pastor Chad Veach by Chad Veach
“He's so much better than I am,” we say, proving just how little we know of someone else's life. “She's a saint,” we say admiringly, assuming that the woman we can see is always just as good as we imagine. We assign a top-notch grade to behaviors we observe, and make assumptions that the life consistency we can't achieve is somehow available to others. But grace reminds us of the brokenness we share—each one of us—regardless of the estimate of others. Behind the fair façade of piety and cool, we each know just how far we fall below the expectations of our God—and how each well-lived life is only, always, saved by grace. All ranks, all grades, all estimates are vanities and not realities. If you can find a soul not absolutely saved by grace, then you have found the rarest form of human life. Give up your search: there is no other way. And stay in grace. -Bill Knott

Discipleship That Reflects Sound Doctrine (Titus 2)In this episode, we explore Titus 2, where Paul outlines a vision for discipleship that reflects the beauty of sound doctrine. God's grace not only saves us—it shapes us. From older men and women to the younger generation and even into the workplace, this chapter shows how every stage of life is an opportunity to adorn the gospel through godliness. Whether you're teaching, mentoring, working, or waiting for Christ's return, you are called to reflect the transforming power of grace. We walk through three key sections:God's Design for Discipleship – Discipleship is gendered, generational, and gospel-shaped.Discipleship on Display in the Workplace – Godliness is evident even under pressure or injustice.Living in Light of God's Grace – Grace not only saves but sanctifies and prepares us for the return of Christ. This episode challenges each listener to ask: Am I reflecting the gospel in the way I live, serve, and disciple others?Discipleship varies by stage of life and gender, but it's always shaped by sound doctrine.Older Men & Women – Called to live reverent, self-controlled, and faith-filled lives that model maturity.Younger Women & Men – Encouraged to love their families, be pure and self-controlled, and live in a way that upholds the gospel's reputation. The goal: live in a way that silences critics and points others to Christ.Godly character should shine at work through submission, respect, honesty, and integrity. Our conduct at work should adorn the doctrine of our Savior—making the gospel attractive by our actions.God's grace has appeared to all people—saving and sanctifying us.Grace teaches us to say “no” to ungodliness and to wait in hope for Christ's return.Jesus redeemed us to be a people zealous for good works. This grace must be proclaimed boldly—with truth, love, and authority. How does your life reflect the gospel to those around you?Are you investing in others through discipleship? Is your daily living shaped by grace and pointing others to the Savior?“...so that in everything they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior.” – Titus 2:10b

Reformed Brotherhood | Sound Doctrine, Systematic Theology, and Brotherly Love
In this episode of The Reformed Brotherhood, Jesse and Tony explore Paul's letter to Philemon, unpacking its rich theological and practical implications. At the heart of the discussion is Paul's appeal for Onesimus, a runaway slave who has become a Christian. Paul's letter serves as a vivid demonstration of how the gospel transforms relationships, highlighting the themes of forgiveness, restitution, and reconciliation. The hosts reflect on the radical nature of grace, which not only calls for the restoration of broken relationships but also compels believers to go above and beyond in their love and service to one another. Jesse and Tony dive into the profound theological principles embedded in Paul's words, including substitutionary atonement and the unity of believers in Christ. They explore how Paul's appeal models the gospel itself, showcasing Christ's substitution on behalf of sinners. The letter is not just a personal plea but also a public call to let the grace of Christ reshape every aspect of Christian conduct and community. This episode challenges listeners to consider how their own relationships and interactions reflect the gospel's transformative power. The discussion also touches on practical applications of Christian unity, such as church membership and the unique bonds between believers. The hosts examine what it means to live out the radical call to Christian fellowship in everyday life, from supporting fellow believers in times of need to fostering harmony in the church. With humor, depth, and compelling insights, this episode encourages listeners to embrace the scandalously generous grace of God in all their relationships. Key Points: Paul's Letter to Philemon as a Model of Gospel Transformation Paul's appeal for Onesimus reflects key gospel principles such as forgiveness, reconciliation, and substitution, illustrating how the gospel reshapes relationships and communities. The Radical Unity of Believers The episode highlights the unity of Christians as a reflection of the unity found in the Trinity. This unity has profound implications for how believers treat one another in both personal and public spheres. Restitution and Responsibility in Christian Conduct Jesse and Tony discuss Paul's emphasis on restitution, noting that conversion does not erase past wrongs but increases the believer's responsibility to make things right in light of the gospel. Practical Implications of Christian Fellowship The hosts explore how the biblical call to Christian unity should impact relationships in various contexts, including church membership, workplace dynamics, and neighborly interactions. The Scandal of Grace Grace is presented as a radical and scandalous force that calls believers to love, forgive, and restore relationships in ways that mirror Christ's love for His people. Questions for Reflection: How does Paul's appeal for Onesimus challenge your understanding of forgiveness and restitution? In what ways can you reflect the unity of believers in your relationships with fellow Christians? How does the concept of substitutionary atonement impact the way you view your responsibilities toward others? Are there areas in your life where you struggle to extend grace or reconciliation to others? How can your involvement in your local church reflect the radical unity and love described in Paul's letter to Philemon?
