Pascale  ----------------------- FULL TRANSCRIPT ----------------------- Hello, beautiful soul; a warm welcome to Week 3 of The Gratitude Experiment.  I'm delighted to have you join me for episode 368 of The Everyday Life Balance Show. This week is exceptional. It's Thanksgiving, and it also happens to be my birthday week. To all our North American listeners, Happy Thanksgiving week! I wish you, this holiday season, a joyful and peaceful Thanksgiving with your loved ones and friends. May this time of reflection and togetherness fill your heart with love and warmth.   Since Thanksgiving is a celebration of gratitude, let's go deeper into its transformative power. Being grateful is not a fleeting practice; it's a habit that grows stronger with trust, deepens our faith in the divine and lights the path of Hope. Even in life's grimmest moments, gratitude opens our hearts to recognize the love and abundance around us. We cannot neglect the power of gratitude because we align with the energy of love, even in the grimmest moments.   The Power of Gratitude and Hope Gratitude reminds us of our connection to love, even in challenging times. To reflect on this, let's draw inspiration from the life of Nelson Mandela.  In his autobiography, Mandela shared a profound truth about humanity and hope that sustained him through the harsh reality of imprisonment. He chose to believe in the inherent goodness in every heart, even in the darkest moments. Here is an excerpt that captures this beautifully:   "I always knew that deep down in every human heart, there was mercy and generosity. No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than the opposite. Even in the grimmest times in prison, when my comrades and I were pushed to our limits, I would see a glimmer of humanity in one of the guards, perhaps just for a second, but it was enough to reassure me and keep me going. Men's goodness is a flame that can be hidden but never extinguished."   Nelson Mandela's story teaches us that even in adversity, we can choose gratitude, Hope and love. His ability to see the light in the shadows is a powerful reminder that gratitude can be our guide through any challenge.   Gratitude is Your Glimmer of Hope As you gather with your family and friends for Thanksgiving, let gratitude be the heart of your celebration. Take a moment to share love and appreciation for one another. Here is a fun idea: Create a "Gratitude Jar" for Thanksgiving. Have everyone write down the person they are most grateful for this year, then read the notes together. It's a beautiful way to connect and celebrate the blessings of your relationships.   The Gratitude Practice This Week This week, I invite you to focus on harvesting Hope by counting your blessings. Here is this week's reflection exercise: Ask yourself: What blessings have enriched your life?  Reflect: How does acknowledging these blessings make you feel? Write down your thoughts daily. As you build this habit, notice how gratitude softens and opens your heart. Gratitude doesn't just shift your perspective; it nurtures your soul. As Henry Ward Beecher so beautifully said:  "Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul"  Let us honour and cherish all the love we receive and give thanks for the light it brings into our lives.   Your Gratitude Challenge This week's gratitude challenge is simple yet profound: Take time each day to count your blessings. Reflect on the abundance in your life, both big and small. If you are ready to share your reflections, join me on my YouTube channel or our private “Awaken Your Authentic Self Community” on Facebook. Your stories inspire others and create a ripple of gratitude that connects us all.   Final Thoughts As we close this week's practice, remember that you are the architect of your life with each choice and decision you make. Gratitude is your foundation, helping you focus on abundance and the beauty of the present moment. Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I wish you a week filled with gratitude, Hope, love and light. Until next time, I am sending you so much love and light. Have a beautiful Thanksgiving week.

Finty tells the profound story of alcoholism born out of grief for the loss of her father, followed by the timely support and intervention of friends and family to reach the life-changing embrace of sobriety in the deserts of Arizona. Her revelations about the pivotal role of support networks, including figures like psychotherapist John McKeown & Theatre Impresario Bill Kenwright, offer an intimate glimpse into the fortress of solidarity that has fortified her journey. Arizona, with its spiritual allure, sets the stage for Finty's awakening, just as the wisdom of loved ones, including the influential Herman Barr, fuels her philosophies on life and the indomitable spirit of recovery. As the curtain falls on our time with Finty, the enchantment of her life spent in the spotlight of Theatre takes centre stage. “Gratitude enlivens the world.” Gratitude is the emotional expression of the interchange of love between giver and receiver. So of course we're looking for more of that in public—it's the very evidence of giving to one another, grace with each other, beneficence for one another. In this conversation, Miroslav Volf and Evan Rosa discuss this remarkable interchange of love between giver and receiver that leads to gratitude. They discuss the meaning of gratitude in emotional, moral, and theological terms; and he introduces a variety of views on gratitude, from the story of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector, to Thomas Aquinas, to Anthony Kronman's “born-again pagan” critique of Christian gratitude, and finally Martin Luther's take on gratitude which draws on the Magnificat of Mary, which Miroslav expounds. Special thanks to the Gratitude to God Project for helping to make this episode possible.Show NotesShow Art: Henry Ossawa Tanner, "The Thankful Poor", 1894Happy Thanksgiving from the Yale Center for Faith & Culture!Gratitude to God Project Website: Psychological, Philosophical and Theological InvestigationsGratitude as a moral emotion“identification of the good for which we should be grateful.”The Pharisee & the Tax CollectorLooking inside the figures of scripture. The performance of gratitudeWhy does gratitude seem so important or basic in spiritual life?“We should be grateful to our parents for having brought us into the world, raised us, spent all these incredibly long, wakeful hours at the beginning of our lives; and many, many more, many hours and days of worries, gratitude is appropriate. During these moments, I ask my essential self, "What do you need?" and I listen attentively to the voice within me. It consistently responds with a powerful message: "Love me." I strongly believe that our essential selves are spiritual beings filled with love, and when we truly experience this love, it brings a positive perspective to every aspect of life. By viewing everything through the lens of love, frustrations and annoyances start to fade away, leaving space for excitement and joy in my business and daily experiences. Another realization that has had a significant impact on me is the practice of gratitude. I express gratitude for even the simplest things, like witnessing a beautiful sunrise, having a comfortable place to sleep, or being able to record episodes for my podcast. Currently, as I look out my window, I am in awe of the beauty of springtime—nature's renewal with green leaves and birds chirping. It has become a daily ritual for me to express gratitude both when I wake up and before I fall asleep. This practice helps me recognize and appreciate all the wonderful aspects of my life. I also acknowledge that life is a rollercoaster ride with its ups and downs. Experiencing a range of emotions, both positive and negative, is a natural part of growth and self-awareness. During low points, I've developed techniques to regulate my emotions. I delve inward, asking my essential self why I feel bothered or low, and I seek answers from within, listening to my inner wisdom. I want to encourage my listeners to take moments of quiet reflection amidst the busyness of life. We often forget that we possess the answers and guidance we need without always relying on external sources. Moreover, I discuss the fascinating connection between our body's energy and our emotions. I highlight how excitement and fear produce similar physiological responses, such as a quickened heartbeat and faster breathing. Understanding the ebb and flow of energy within ourselves allows for a deeper awareness of our emotional states. I strongly advise listeners to turn off external distractions and simply sit in silence for a few minutes. This act of reconnecting with our inner selves can be truly transformative. To sum up, this episode emphasizes the significance of self-love, gratitude, and self-reflection. By embracing love, looking at the world through a loving lens, and expressing gratitude for the blessings in our lives, we can find joy and fulfillment in our businesses and daily experiences. I urge my listeners to find moments of stillness and self-awareness, allowing them to tap into their inner wisdom and effectively regulate their emotions. Libra season embodies a balanced flavor, this is showing up in our 1-1 relationships. The universe is showing us were we are out of balance due to ego entanglement in all of our relationships. We still have Mercury RX so it would only make sense that the universe is going to reflect a situation, or person from the PAST that needs a NEW, FRESH way of handling. You may also experience relationships where you have been integrating the wisdom teachings collected over the year to SEE your EGO FOR EXACTLY WHAT IT IS, and DROP that story in its entirety. We are realizing that this story once kept us safe, but now it's not serving us anymore. Drop that shit bc a new beginning is forming around thinking & communicating in all of our relationships! 'The Project Of Happiness' is an idea that I first heard about a little over 2 years ago. My best mate & founder of 'TPOH' Zachary Biddulph & I were on one of our regular morning walks when he expressed his desire to travel around the country in a van & make a difference. The concept of encouraging others to express gratitude to the people they love & in turn make the world a happier place. It was soon after that he met & introduced me to the love of his life & now fiancé Stellah Littlemore & from the get go she was on board with the mission. Ahead of their departure, Zach & Stells sat down to share their plans & to talk about the principles they hope to share with the every day Aussies they meet along the way. I have so much love for these beautiful humans. They are 2 of my nearest & dearest & I am beyond excited to watch their adventure unfold & I want to encourage you to do the same! Be sure to follow TPOH, Zach, Stells & I on socials (insta & tiktok) @theprojectofhappiness @zac_biddulph @stellahlittlemore @bradleyjdryburgh Follow/Subscribe to the show on your platform of choice, leave a 5 star rating & kind review to help us reach new listeners & uplift others like yourself around the world. Welcome to episode 28 of the Testimony Podcast, this episode is the second part of a conversation I had with Sara Hall. If you’ve not listened to the first part, which is featured in episode 27, then I suggest you go and listen to that first. Sara is a wife, a mum, a blogger, counselor and author of “Tasting Dirt – When you’re disappointed with God” and in this episode, we talk about gratitude, including Sara’s own twelve thousand reasons for gratitude. We also talk about the helpfulness and honesty of lament, and its importance for healing, and the process of putting all of our faith and hope in the Lord. I think this episode, together with the previous episode, number 27, contains an essential message for Christians today. I was greatly blessed by talking to Sara, I hope you are blessed by listening to our conversation.

Trista was a pediatric physical therapist moonlighting as a Miami Heat dancer when she heard about casting for a new reality show—one guy getting to know twenty-five girls in the hope of finding a fiancée. As improbable and crazy as it sounded, Trista took the chance—and had her heart broken on the very first season of The Bachelor. But the next season, as the first Bachelorette, her fairy tale fell into place during a whirlwind courtship with poetry-writing firefighter Ryan Sutter and, eventually, a dream-come-true wedding on national TV. In the midst of building a life with Ryan and raising two kids, Trista started to make a conscious effort to remember her favorite part of each day. And she's made sure to post these thoughts, her own personal expressions of gratitude, almost every night on Twitter and Facebook—even on days she was dealing with fertility issues, a difficult pregnancy, family deaths, and other challenges that many of us face.

But You'll Always Know - Sarvajeet D Chandra Nobody will know If you didn't count your blessings Gratitude buds that failed to bloom Unthankful for little joys, moments, things Unhappy But you'll always know Nobody will know If you didn't avow your love Feelings swept away in monsoon waters Life withering away like a waning moon Heart Broken But you'll always know Nobody will know If you didn't care for kith and kin Too busy for cuddles, bedtime stories Frenetically climbing a ladder to nowhere Unloved But you'll always know Nobody will know If you never lived in the moment Past soaked in remorse, future in worry Thoughts like a deafening waterfall Restless But you'll always know Nobody will know If you quit your dreams Didn't flap your flight-laden wings Didn't bloom in the season of new leaves Scared But you'll always know Follow Sarvajeet सर्वजीत on Social Media Instagram : https://www.instagram.com/sarvajeetdchandra/ Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/IndianPoetry/ Twitter : https://twitter.com/sarvajeetd Youtube : https://www.youtube.com/user/IndiaCreate Contact Sarvajeet on sarvajeetchandra@gmail.com

Are you ready to be happy? Are you tired of having to hold resentment and grudges? Do you have people in your life that have anger issues?  With a recent experience from an old "friend" and a fellow retailer, I realized that people make up stories in their own consciousness that they really believe that are filled with animosity and resentment. Unfortunately, when people do this they are really hurting themselves more than they are hurting the energy of the person who makes them so vehemently angry. I am so grateful for this experience with this "colleague" because it made me step into the practice of Ho'oponpono. Listen to this episode to find out a little bit about this practice of love, gratitude, and forgiveness so you can use it in your life to heal your own issues and also help others in the process!
