Josh Kouri continues our Advent series in Revelation 12, focusing on the cosmic struggle between the woman and the dragon, highlighting how Jesus' victory over sin, Satan, and death sustains the church in its wilderness journey, empowering believers to overcome deception, accusation, and persecution despite ongoing suffering.

Josh Kouri continues our Advent series in Revelation 12, focusing on the cosmic struggle between the woman and the dragon, highlighting how Jesus' victory over sin, Satan, and death sustains the church in its wilderness journey, empowering believers to overcome deception, accusation, and persecution despite ongoing suffering.

In our first teaching, we learned from Revelation 12 that the dragon is Satan, the woman is Israel, and the child is the promised Messiah. In our second teaching, we learned about Satan's first defeat. After the Great Red Dragon's defeat, he is hurled to the earth where, in rage, he pursues Israel and the followers of Jesus. However, God intervenes and gives to Israel and the Gentiles who believe in Messiah, all they need to persevere and overcome this greatest of dragons! Join us as we conclude our journey through Revelation 12.

You have an enemy. He is the ancient serpent, the evil one, the great red dragon. He is most widely known as Satan or the Devil. He has wisdom, power, a kingdom, and an army of fallen angels and demons at his behest. From the begining, Jesus said he is a liar and a murderer. One of his greatest lies is to get the masses to believe that he, his kingdom, and his agenda does not exist. But the Sacred Scriptures expose him for who he is. The Bible reveals his agenda, his aspirations, and his threat to everyone who believes in Jesus and commit themselves to God's commandments. Join us in the series on the Great Red Dragon. The ‘eater of worlds' is a composite creature hell bent on consuming all life and all good in the world. Many know this monster as the Crimson King or Pennywise, both Stephen King characters, but their essence can also be found in the recent portrait of King Charles, which also features, by mirroring and flipping or applying filters, something clearly unsettling. Some see Baphomet, but this composite has horns pointing upward and is not representative of the demonic like William Blake's Great Red Dragon, an image that appears to be in the center of the painting. And a decapitated king's head instead implies the Ritual of Killing the King, while the butterfly is not Monarch mind control, but a symbol of the BA leaving the body at death. Is the portrait a dark omen of his death and transfer of power to William? Running parallel to this bizarre revelation is the Eurovision contest that seemed more like a black mass for beginners, or at least debauchery dressed up, or down, as entertainment. Avoiding the study of the Book of Revelation is not an option for God's people. Most nativity scenes feature the holy family, shepherds, wise men, angels, and barn animals, but the one character conspicuously missing is a great red dragon. In John's vision, we're reminded that behind the scenes of the familiar Christmas story lays a great cosmic war that has been fought since the beginning of time.

 The Woman and the Dragon And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars Rev. 13: 1-3 —All the lights of heaven are brought together,  “Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners (or, the heavenly host)?” It is the picture of the bride, the Church. The beams of the divine glory clothe her; she has caught—like Moses—the radiance of her Lord, whose countenance was as the sun (Rev 1:16); the moon is beneath her feet; she rises superior to all change, and lays all lesser lights of knowledge under tribute; she is crowned with a crown of twelve stars: the illustrious members of the Church (twelve being the representative number in Old Testament as well as New Testament times) form her crown of rejoicing in the day of Christ.

SPOILERS UP TO (and including) HANNIBAL 3x08, MANHUNTER, and RED DRAGON In this episode: After a 3 year time jump we catch up with all our old friends and learn just what they've been up to since the "capture" of Hannibal the Cannibal. It's kind of like catching up with your friends after you come back to school from the summer but with more violent family annihilation and better food. Alana is ruling the roost at the psychiatric ward and we're all kinds of psyched for that Why is Hannibal afforded so many special privileges? We know he's not the type to be a super good boy. Also, we're 90% sure he can escape whenever he damn well pleases and is only staying in one place so that Will knows where to find him. Speaking of Will, we're happy to see him happy and Molly's actually nice so there's no chance this isn't going to be wall-to-wall awful as his entire nice life falls apart. Hopefully we'll get to see some interactions that flesh out his relationship with his step-son before the dookie hits the fan, though We're still curious as to what happened with Margot and Alana, as that might be a bright spot in what's sure to be a very freaking dark half a season. Big picture questions about Will as the prototype for the disturbed genius profiler cliche and how that might play into the rest of his story this season. Will hasn't been to see Hannibal in any of the 3 years of his captivity, dude can't be happy about that. At all. THERE'S ALWAYS AN ADDENDUM: Here's the tumblr post regarding Molly that Ian mentioned.
