Vår sirkulære oppstartsbaby Nordic Circles ruller videre på veien mot å oppsirkulere maritimt metall til klimavennlige byggematerialer, og jaggu om det ikke skal legges et digitalt lag på toppen. For skal vi lykkes med sirkulærøkonomien, vil data og teknologi være nøkkelen til å lykkes med skalaen som skal til for å gjøre det lønnsomt. One of 2021's brightest Irish techno exports, Billy Spike Illand has delivered the goods once again. He returns on Common Sense Records after a VA earlier in the year, with a six track EP comprised of four originals and 2 remixes from the prolific producer ‘A Thousand Details'. The EP is packed with a variety of deep, atmospheric, mental, trippy and driving techno under the name “Access Automation” EP. Four original tracks that combine, sci-fi futuristic elements that dominate the sound design for an experimental journey. All the 4 tracks have their own particular sound suitable for different vibes, pace and choice of dancefloor tools. To round off the EP, Portuguese producer, A thousand Details took charge of creating two interpretations of the track “Mechanism”. The ever-creative and fruitful producer, conjured two trippy yet funky remixes, calling on tribal like sounds while merging them with hypnotic elements. Blending past and present of techno with great ease and amazing functionality. The balance of this EP shows the diversity and versatility between two artists that have met in dancefloor unison. This is an excellent release from two fine techno producers and as usual we can't wait for Billy Spike Illand's next release. I wanted to learn more about transition planning and self-advocacy, and I luckily sat next to Tom Iland a few weeks ago. Tom is a speaker and co-author of "Come to Life" which is an awesome collection of analogies, metaphors, and visuals that help students with autism (or anyone!) through the process of making informed decisions into adulthood.    Tom was diagnosed with autism at 13, and shares with me some of his experience overcoming obstacles to realize his goals- being independent and helping others.
