She has been involved in institutions and festivals such as the Nordic Light Festival in Norway, Landskrona Foto Festival, Leica Gallery, and Fotografiska, working on exhibitions featuring artists like Albert Watson, Platon, Greg Gorman, Ralph Gibson, Ragnar Axelsson, Paul Nicklen & Cristina Mittermeier, Chris Rainier, Paul Hansen, James Nachtwey, Sebastião Salgado, and Ellen von Unwerth. A new exhibit at Fotografiska represents the first major retrospective of her work in the United States. Tabitha is a Berlin-based multi-disciplinary designer, creative technologist, and filmmaker. Her practice includes 3D, animation, augmented reality, digital fashion, graphic design, and UX/UI. She has worked with brands including Vogue Germany, Nike, Highsnobiety, Reebok, and Origins, and has exhibited at Miami Art Basel, Fotografiska,  Transmediale, and Cadaf Arts among others.  Her part of the White Mirror project saw her doing everything from writing to cinematography with the latest AI tools like Runway Gen-2, ChatGPT, and Stable Diffusion, lowering typical animation costs from $10,000/second to $10,000 per minute. She explains what those tools are good at and where their limitations are, and helps us understand how they will evolve and impact the roles of humans in the movie industry. How can art institutions adapt to meet the changing cultural landscape in the coming decades, and what are the new models that will evolve to fill these needs? Fotografiska, a private, for-profit photography museum, is offering a novel possibility. Fotografiska's self proclaimed mission is to offer a unique cultural destination where people can discover world class photography alongside one of a kind programming with top tier restaurants and bars on site. With expanded late night hours open until 11 p. m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Fotografiska believes it gives the public a more flexible platform for encountering culture than the traditional, often sterile museum setting. But it's a model that's not without skeptics, who worry that prioritizing experienced culture risks undermining curatorial rigor. Founded in Stockholm in 2011, today Fotografiska is a global enterprise with locations in Tallinn, Estonia and New York City, and the international expansion continues with a Berlin outpost that opened just last month with exhibitions by celebrated artists including Juliana Huxtable and Candice Breitz at the Kunsthaus Tascheles—a destination with a unique cultural history for the city. The museum's first location in Asia is also set to be unveiled this month in Shanghai. Behind Fotografiska's ascent is Yoram Roth, the institution's chairman, and a Berlin based entrepreneur focused on arts and culture. With a career background that ranges from entertainment and music production to publishing, Roth brings a dynamic energy, unique vision, and infectious attitude to the art sphere. This week, Artnet editor Katie White spoke to Roth about Fotografiska, and a new era of cultural experiences.

Restaurangen som under sommarhalvåret odlar 85 procent av grönsakerna själva. Och restaurangen som har en grönsakssommelier vad är det? Om restauranger som också vill vara odlare. Hagabions café har sedan fem år egna odlingar utanför Göteborg. - Man får större respekt för råvaran när man vet var den kommer ifrån, säger kocken Patrik Simonsson, som på sommarhalvåret ägnar sig åt odlandet.- Under sommaren är 85 procent av grönsakerna odlade av oss, säger kocken och krögaren Anneli Ödén.- Det är också ett sätt att få tag på den bästa råvarorna, säger Patrik.De skulle inte haft råd att köpa motsvarande råvaror om de inte odlat dem. T ex bönor och riktigt fina tomater skulle bli för dyrt. I och med att grönsakspriserna gått upp lönar det sig än mer att odla själv.Odlandet är också en sorts personalvård. Tidigare har Hagabions café också varit med och startat ett lokalt bryggeri. Man ville ha kontroll över den öl som serveras. Odlandet ger kontroll över grönsakerna.Linnea Engström jobbar som grönsakssommelier på Fotografiska museet i Stockholm. Hon uppmärksammar grönsakerna på samma sätt som en vinsommelier kan informera och vägleda i vinets värld. Hon berättar för gästerna om grönsakernas ursprung, tillagning och smaker.Hon sköter också odlingen i det konstbelysta växthuset i källaren. Där odlas för tillfället broccolini, romansallat och örter. Dessutom tillverkar Linnea alkoholfria drycker, som shrub, tonic eller kombucha. Hon utgår från sånt som blir över från köket.Hon bjuder på en knallröd shrub gjord på krusbärsskal, jordgubbsstumpar och persiljestjälkar, som toppas med egengjord tonic och bubbelvatten. Since the 70s, photographer Janette Beckman has documented youth culture in street scenes on both sides of the Atlantic, capturing musicians such as Dr Dre, Pete Townsend and Paul Weller, just before they hit the big time. Captivated by street style, her photojournalism has caught on camera everything from punks and rockers in London to the  gangs of East Los Angeles.Janette grew up in London and spent time as a youth working for some of the most preeminent music and youth culture magazines of the day, such as Melody Maker and The Face. In the 80s she moved to New York, where she still lives today, and where she made a name for herself documenting the nascent hip hop scene. A career working for major magazine titles and prestigious subjects followed. More recently, she has spent time in Paris photographing the Christian Dior collections as well as documenting Black Lives Matter demonstrations. In episode 258 UNP founder and curator Grant Scott is in his shed reflecting on post-photography photography and how fakery has nothing to do with documentation of reality. Plus this week, photographer Paul Hansen takes on the challenge of supplying Grant with an audio file no longer than 5 minutes in length in which he answer's the question ‘What Does Photography Mean to You?' Paul Hansen is a photojournalist based in Stockholm, Sweden. As a staff photographer for the daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter his assignments and self-initiated projects, take him all over the world covering events in Haiti, Bosnia, Afghanistan as well as in Sweden. There is always one common denominator that links his work together and that is empathy. His visual storytelling has been awarded many domestic and international prizes and honours, including Picture of the Year two times and  Photographer of the Year in Sweden nine times. He was also awarded Photographer of the Year Newspaper in POYi 2010 and 2013, World Press Photo, 2012, a second place in Photographer of the Year in POYi 2015 and a second place in General News by World Press Photo 2016. In 2017 and 2018 he had two major exhibitions at the Fotografiska museum in Stockholm. In honor of hip hop's 50th anniversary, a new Fotografiska exhibition showcases some of the most pivotal moments and faces of the movement. The show includes early-1970s South Bronx street photos, Nicki Minaj at a Brooklyn diner in 2008, De La Soul in front of The Apollo (1993), Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean on a Harlem rooftop working on the Fugees' debut album (1993) and more. Curators Sally Berman and Sacha Jenkins join us to talk about the exhibition, Hip Hop: Conscious, Unconscious, running until May 21.

Han har släppt ett dussintal prisbelönta böcker och ställt ut sin konst utomlands och i Sverige. Utställningen Waldersten All Over på Fotografiska i Stockholm sågs sommaren 2019 av fler än 100.000 besökare. Nyligen illustrerade han nyversionen av Bröderna Lejonhjärta och de grafiska bladen från boken ställdes ut på Kulturhuset. Δημήτρης: [0:36] Γιατί θα μου 'λεγες κάτι; Μαριλένα: [0:38] Γιατί μπορεί να μαλώνουμε για το σούπερ μάρκετ, ξέρω γω, και μετά εντάξει, αυτό είναι καλό σε ζευγάρια. Όλα καλά. Μαλώνουμε και μετά είμαστε υπέροχοι και είμαστε υπέροχοι και όταν μαλώνουμε, έτσι δεν είναι; Δημήτρης: [0:52] Ναι. Προσπαθούμε να το αφήσουμε πίσω μας. (ΟΚ) Ξέρετε, εγώ και η Μαριλού συχνά τσακωνόμαστε γιατί εγώ ουσιαστικά δουλεύω από το σπίτι και μέσα στη διάρκεια της ημέρας η Μαριλού έρχεται και μου λέει, «Δημήτρη, θα κάνεις αυτό;», «Δημήτρη, θα κάνεις το άλλο;», «Πρέπει να πας για ψώνια» και «Πρέπει να κρατήσεις τον μπέμπη» σε ανύποπτο χρόνο μερικές φορές και εγώ έχω βγάλει ένα πρόγραμμα για το πώς θέλω να... τι σειρά θέλω να βάλω τα πράγματα που έχω να κάνω στον υπολογιστή και εκείνη τη στιγμή με πιάνει εξαπίνης, όπως λέμε, και είμαι «Αχ»... Όλο αυτό τώρα μου διαταράσσει την ισορροπία. Είναι ένα πρόβλημα το οποίο είμαι σίγουρος ότι έχουνε πολλοί άνθρωποι εκεί έξω που δουλεύουν στο σπίτι ιδιαίτερα με οικογένεια, και άμα έχετε καμία συμβουλή να μου δώσετε για το πώς να το αντιμετωπίσουμε αυτό το πρόβλημα, αυτή την ισορροπία την ευαίσθητη που διαταράσσεται, θα ήμουν ευγνώμων. Ακούω όλες τις προτάσεις από όλους εσάς τους work-at-home, με τηλεργασία. Ναι, τέλος πάντων, δεν είναι αυτό το θέμα της ημέρας μας. Μαριλένα: [2:03] Κοίτα, μπορούμε να κάνουμε ένα podcast πώς είναι να συνυπάρχεις με τον ίδιο άνθρωπο για πολλά χρόνια. Αλλά ας μην το κάνουμε τώρα, να το σκεφτούμε και λίγο παραπάνω γιατί έχουμε άλλο θέμα σήμερα, έτσι δεν είναι; Δημήτρης: [2:16] Εγώ έχω μία άλλη ερώτηση πριν από αυτό. (Για πες) Από πόσα χρόνια και μετά το να μένεις με κάποιον θεωρούνται πολλά; Μαριλένα: [2:22] Από τους... Δημήτρης: [2:22] Για παράδειγμα, οι παππούδες σου ήταν μαζί - πόσα; - 60 χρόνια; Μαριλένα: [2:26] 68. Δημήτρης: [2:29] 68. Αυτά είναι πολλά χρόνια, τώρα... Μαριλένα: [2:30] Οι γονείς μου σήμερα έχουν επέτειο γνωριμίας, 46 χρόνια είναι μαζί. Γνωρίζονται μάλλον, όχι μαζί. Ουάου. Δημήτρης: [2:38] Ωραία. Εμείς έχουμε πέντε χρόνια. Μαριλένα: [2:41] Εντάξει. Εγώ από το εξάμηνο και μετά το μετράω πολύ. Δημήτρης: [2:44] Ε! Οπότε όταν κάποιος παντρεύεται και κάνει παιδί μετά από ένα χρόνο λες εντάξει, είναι πολλά χρόνια μαζί. Μαριλένα: [2:50] Ναι ναι ναι. Εντάξει, όποιος το κάνει αυτό, παιδιά, συγχαρητήρια, είσαι πολύ τολμηρός. Δημήτρης: [2:55] Ναι, το θέμα μας σήμερα δεν είναι τα παιδιά ή ο έγγαμος βίος και τα χρόνια γάμου, είναι κάτι τελείως άσχετο. Μαριλένα: [3:04] Ναι, αλλά είχαμε κάνει... Μάλλον, η Ιωάννα έκανε ένα ωραίο post στο Instagram του Easy Greek σχετικό και μας άνοιξε την όρεξη. Άλλωστε είχαμε πει ότι θα θέλαμε να μιλήσουμε για αυτό, έτσι να κάνουμε μία βόλτα. Θα κάνουμε μία βόλτα στα αγαπημένα μας μουσεία τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και σε διάφορες πόλεις που έχουμε επισκεφτεί. Suhaly is an AfroKisqueyan herbalist, artist, educator, and community organizer. And she's the founder of Moon Mother Apothecary, a practice and offering of heart-centered, moon-powered medicines created in the traditional wisdom and knowledge of her ancestors. In this episode, Suhaly shares about how working with nourishing roots like Ginger and Astragalus and soothing herbs like Lemon balm and Oatstraw allow us to slow down and reconnect to our wholeness, to each other, to ourselves, and to nourishment. She also offers key insights into how plants can help us find the courage and the bravery that is required to take a leap into new depths, and how she has found inspiration in Mae Jemison, who was the first Black woman to venture into outer space; and Andrea Motley Crabtree, the first Black woman deep sea diver in the US army.The Moon Mother will be hosting an upcoming workshop on the Mother of All Lands: Plants of Power, Purpose, Resistance in Kiskeya with Herban Cura on April 24th; where she'll do a deep dive into the Materia Medica, folklore, mythology, and socio-political histories of some medicinal plants prominent in Dominican plantwork & the ways they are used across various Dominican communities and in the Dominican Diaspora. She is a 2018 graduate of the Sacred Vibes Apothecary spiritual herbalism apprenticeship, and carries out her purpose through small batch, moon-powered plant medicine offerings, justice-forward collaborations, workshops, knowledge-shares, and beyond.
