Grab your tissues and tampons because the gals are bringing you the eighth edition of Cramps and Cinema! Nikki and Kris are talking menstruation and movies - and watching the 2019 Rebel Wilson Meta-Rom-Com “Isn't It Romantic?” The gals talk about if Cramps & Cinema was a movie - this would be it. All the tropes, all the plot points, every single thing we talk about, condensed and analyzed in this one ridiculous film. The gals talk about the references to other rom-coms, (that gorgeous red dress Rebel wears is straight out of Pretty Woman”!), the ridiculousness of just how silly the common stereotypes are compared to real life, and how absolutely delightful everything that comes out of Rebel Wilson's mouth is. Nikki talks about the tearjerker moments, Kris talks about how real the struggles are running with large breasts, and the gals talk about how much fun this movie is to watch. It's enough to make Kris' cynical heart melt. Submit your questions at edit2realpodcast@gmail.com or check us out on Instagram and Twitter @edit2real! She has deep roots here, and it gives her a history.A strong sense of home which reflects in her fabulous stories. Like most women, she wears a lot of hats. When she was in college, she planned on becoming a famous sportscaster. But the plan took a detour and she found herself in the front a classroom, teaching English. Teaching was in her blood, and she was hooked. Jeannie's books have received a number of honors. In addition to multiple starred reviews, Jeannie has been a finalist in the Bookseller's Best and the Holt Medallion contests. Old ladies are rad. There should be a show about them. The show should be bejeweled and golden. It should lean forward. It should explore stories that tv shows don’t often explore. The characters should be regal, horny, ditzy, ignorant, wise, and blunt. Every sitcom doesn’t have to be plastic and predictable, dang it. Some can be wrinkled and original. Listen to us talk about that great idea someone had, among other things, including Sam Harris, douchebags, Cindy Lauper, rich kids, white privilege, Bea Arthur, dead words, and architecture. Hosts Mat Bradley-Tschirgi and William Thrasher discuss Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie. A silver screen lead-in to the show's fifth season, Turbo weaves a yarn of Lerigot helping Divatox revive Maligore. Feeling more like a direct-to-video knock off of Willow, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie has our heroes trying to rescue creepy wizards from the cunning Divatox. There are some fun fight scenes here on a pirate ship and in a temple, but the meandering plot is too complicated. The long text scroll at the beginning of the movie doesn't help matters either. Mat thought Amy Poehler's feature debut Wine Country was a bit of a letdown. Gorgeous vistas and fun comedy don't mesh with a sharp turn to serious subplots near the end. He also liked Isn't It Romantic?, a Rebel Wilson romantic comedy spoof.
